Best Day Ever!
I really can’t say anything bad about this venue! The venue is absolutely stunning, there are SO many breathtaking places to take photos, and having the wedding in front of the historic house was so special. Highly recommend adding on the tours of the home during cocktail hour, we heard so many wonderful things from the guests that went on the tours. I also recommend adding on the lanterns for the walkway, it created amazing photos for when we were leaving the venue and felt so special and romantic. The Rental Coordinator, Amanda, was responsive and prompt, as well as accommodating to what our vision was for our evening.Sent on 10/04/2020

I can't say enough about Rock Ford. We are a gay couple, living in a very conservative Lancaster County. From the moment we met Meagen, we felt comfortable being us. We didn't have to change who we were. Being two guys, not knowing anything about weddings or how to do the wedding, Meagen helped us from step 1 till the final step. The site was gorgeous, lots of wild deer, cool history and house. This site was way more affordable then the other competitors out there and definitely worth every penny.Sent on 09/29/2019

Great place for a wedding!
The Rock Ford is a beautiful place to have a wedding! There are so many places for great photos and the barn is very nice inside. The Rental Coordinator, Meagen, is wonderful to work with. She went out of her way before and during the wedding to make sure everything went great! I would definitely recommend Rock Ford!Sent on 05/27/2019

Hello! My name is Amanda and I am a mom of 3 boys who loves to organize and plan events. I first "met" Historic Rock Ford as a caterer, then had my own wedding there and now have returned as the rental coordinator. Life is never boring and I love new challenges.
If you are looking for a unique location with real historical flair, check out the Rockford Plantation. I really like that there are multiple locations on the property, so you can have a farmhouse backdrop for the ceremony, inside dinner, and dancing under a tent. It is just outside of the city, but you really feel like you are in a spacious rolling farmland. The last time I was there to DJ a wedding, a group of deer actually came out of the trees during the ceremony and stayed in sight through the beginning of the cocktail hour.
Beautiful location to photograph at. The staff is always friendly, helpful and very flexible with scheduling photo shoots when you call ahead. It is one of my personal favorite places to take photos!
We have done many weddings at Rock Ford Plantations over the years and have always had good experiences. Very easy to work with. The setting is a beautiful historic barn that has a good floor plan and room for small events inside or larger events with a tent outside. It has been a pleasure working with them over the years.
