I'd never been to Maine before, so when we decided to go there to elope, I was asking for recommendations left and right. After receiving feedback from people on Trip Advisor, and asking the locals, time and again I was referred to Roberto Hostins Salon.
And they did not disappoint.
First of all, I made the appointment several months in advance, so naturally it was on my "to do" list to call and confirm my appointments for my hair trial and for the big day. The salon beat me to it! I received confirmation calls for both appointments with plenty of advanced notice.
All staff were pleasant and attentive. I arrived several minutes early for each appointment and both times was offered a cool beverage. Water was served in glasses (not cups, but glasses). Some may not see this is a big deal, but sometimes it's the little details that add to the experience.
Ally was my stylist and she was fantastic. Not only did she listen to what I wanted, she recreated the hairstyle perfectly. She's also very personable and made me feel comfortable and at ease and that I would look my best for the big day.
That day was the prettiest I've felt in my whole life.
