He is a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor through the National Christian Counselors Association and NCCA Board Certified in Integrated Marriage & Family Therapy, Advanced Child & Adolescent Therapy, Temperament Counselor and Professional Clinical Member. Moreover, Dr. Powell holds Masters and PhD degrees in Christian counseling with 15 years experience as a pastoral counselor. Addionally, Dr. Powell is a locally licensed minister and internationally ordained minister with Paragon Clergy Association International (PCAI).

Rev. Dr. Alvin L. Powell offers couples the Basic Option (Ceremony Only), Standard Option, and Premarital Prep Boot Camp Option package, which includes wedding officiant services. He also offers customized options depending on your needs. Each option includes an initial consultation, review of your wedding vows, wedding ehearsal, ceremony, and optional reception blessing and filing of your marriage license. His ceremonies are non-denominational and usually last about 30 minutes or less.
