Hello! and welcome to Rêve Events, I'm Larissa Wixtrom the lead planner and owner. Events have been a passion of mine since high school, where I took an internship with an amazing local planner in my hometown of Marquette, MI. Weddings on the weekends became a regular part of my life and I fell in love with them. I studied Hospitality Management at Northern Michigan University where I earned my degree. In my last year of college, I decided to move to Grand Rapids, MI. I landed an amazing internship opportunity there and was able to stay with that company for another year after. I learned so much and got hands-on experience like I never had before working at weddings almost every weekend of the summer. I always knew that I would love to pursue this career on my own because I know how rewarding it is and the opportunity to be creative and be myself. With encouragement from friends and family and confidence in myself, I knew the time was right to start my own venture into the events world, where Rêve Events was born. When brainstorming business names, Rêve (pronounced (R-ay-v)which means "dream" in French, just made sense because my main goal is to make your event dreams come true. I also wanted to focus my business on small intimate events where I am confident I can provide superb attention to detail and wonderful customer service for you, your family, and your friends.

With that being said, I have been dreaming of this moment for a while now and I am so excited to get started, I cannot wait to get to know you and plan your dream event!
