I was so nervous the night before the wedding and attending our rehearsal dinner. We had a destination wedding in Key West and planning from thousands of miles away, we used recommendations to hire Rev. Steve Torrence. Let me tell you, BEST DECISION WE MADE in regards to wedding planning. He made me immediately become comfortable during the rehearsal dinner, made us laugh during the ceremony as a pirate ship sailed behind us during the ceremony, and truly cared about what he was doing and what we wanted. The majority of our wedding guests came up to us during the reception asking how we found him and talking about how great he was.

Reverend Steve did an amazing job helping us craft our wedding ceremony. It is hard picking an officiant from one thousand miles away, but we heard from a Key West photographer that Steve was the best! After our phone call with Steve, we really liked his personality and attitude and we were comfortable having him host our same sex ceremony. We loved working with his suggestions as well as incorporating readings we found ourselves. On the day of our wedding at the Key West Lighthouse, we had several interruptions, from a rain delay, to well wishers on the trolley, to a car driving by with some VERY in appropriate music. Steve handled all the curve balls with humor and grace and none of our guests will ever forget our ceremony. If you are looking for an officiant who will work with you to craft your perfect ceremony, look no further!

I asked a few different people (my planner, videographer, venue) who I should choose for an officiant because I didn't really know how to pick. Every single one of them said "Go with Steve, hands down". That should say something about how wonderful he is. I never expected our wedding officiant to be my favorite vendor out of all the people that day, but wow, I was so impressed with him that I was talking about him for days afterwards. From our very first email, Steve was so joyful, warm, funny, helpful, and open. He made sure to explain to us that the ceremony is about us and that we could customize it any way we want. My husband and I both shed a lot of tears during our ceremony (in a good way!), and Steve made sure to turn off his mic, and speak to both of us to really help us take in the moment. I've been to some weddings where the officiant ruins an otherwise beautiful ceremony, but Steve elevated ours to such a beautiful and personal moment that I will forever cherish. So many guests complimented me on how wonderful he was. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose Steve a million times over. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Steve was so warm and kind from our first email I knew he would be perfect for our wedding ceremony. We had a non-denominational ceremony and it was perfect. He was so patient with our wild family during the rehearsal. Also, he was so calming when I couldn’t stop crying happy tears coming down the aisle. So happy that Steve was part of our special day.

My husband and I are so happy we had Rev. Steve officiate our wedding. We had a destination wedding, so we didn't know any officiants in the area, but he came very highly recommended by our venue. Admittedly, we were a bit nervous at first as we are not very religious. However, Steve was instantly so friendly and made it very clear from our first conversation not only how much he loves what he does, but also how deferential he was to making our ceremony about us and what we wanted our special day to be. Steve was funny and friendly, and put my husband and I (who do not like attention and were nervous about standing up in front of everyone at our ceremony) at ease. He was so natural, fun, and good-humored on the day of our wedding. He made us and all our guests laugh, and worked with us to create the ceremony of our dreams. He provided templates we could work with to "design" our ideal ceremony, and allowed us to have total input over what we added or took out of those templates, including personalized introductions and readings, until our ceremony was "just right" and so "us." During the ceremony, as happens a lot in Key West, a plane flew over in the middle of my vows. Steve knew exactly how to handle it and I appreciated in that and every moment that we had chosen him as our officiant. We are so thankful to Steve for helping make our ceremony so beautiful, fun, and special, and we give him our highest recommendation! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Steve!

We picked Steve based on recommendations from our venue. We were both very pleased with Steve's relaxed demeanor and casual vibe. We had a civil ceremony at the Hemingway Home and my now husband was extremely hot in his suit. Steve picked up on his discomfort and made it a priority to allow for some time to dry my husband's suit jacket by the fan before the ceremony. Steve made the ceremony special, but lighthearted and kept it short and sweet. We also appreciated his responsiveness through e-mail and flexibility with rehearsal times. Many thanks!

Rev. Steve Torrence made our wedding ceremony unforgetable! Not only was he a pleasure to work with (who knew rehearsals could be so fun?), but our ceremony was absolutely beautiful. My husband and I were nervous during the ceremony and Rev. Steve made us laugh, relax and actually made it so we were able to stop and take everything in. When you hire Rev. Steve, you are hiring the best!

We "got" Reverend Steve Torrence with our wedding package through Say Yes in Key West and absolutely loved him. He was incredibly professional but had a mellow, relaxed demeanor about him that was a God-send. I will admit that I was a mess with emotions walking down the aisle and not having met me beforehand, he could not have done better at calming and helping me get through the ceremony. He made sure we knew this ceremony was about us and taking the time to speak slowly and have me take deep breaths were things that you don't really treasure until looking back on the event. Never having met us before, he nailed our personalities perfectly and what we wanted out of the ceremony; nothing overly religious but not a civil ceremony, either. We had a very small ceremony (appx. 30 people) and my husband said Reverend Steve was out talking with family and joking around with him prior to my arrival. Again, having never met us before the ceremony, he fit into our perfect day effortlessly and we could not have asked for more.

Steve was excellent! He stepped in only about a month before our wedding when our former officiant plans fell through, and he did an excellent job! Because we had a destination wedding in Key West, we didn't have a lot of time to sit down and chat, but he made the most of the time we did have. He tailored our ceremony to our wishes and made sure both me and my husband were comfortable with it. We live in a different part of Florida and decided to get our license there instead of Monroe county, and he still took care of the after-ceremony paperwork for us. I've seen a lot of reviews saying that Steve does a good job with religious ceremonies, but our ceremony was mostly secular and he did a great job with that too! On time for everything and very friendly and professional.
