Receptions by Design TN is a wedding floral design and event coordination company based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Owner Donna Ames has over 15 years of wedding decor experience and prides herself on creating the perfect look for your special day. The floral design at Receptions by Design TN can be customized to your unique taste. We also know how stressful planning a wedding can be, so we offer coordination to help you make difficult decisions.

Services Offered
Whether you are looking for a traditional and classic arrangement or a modern and rustic one, Receptions by Design will create it for you. We offer a variety of options for the design of their pieces. In order to find your perfect pick, we arrange a consultation with each couple, as well as a venue visit if needed. We handle all delivery, set up, and clean up, and will provide decor for each part of the wedding. Our floral options include:

More than a day-of coordinator

I hired Donna as my day-of coordinator and florist, and I could not recommend her enough!! She was very responsive to all of the questions I had for her in the months leading up to the wedding. She did a great job of informing me of things I wouldn't have normally thought about. Her experience in the wedding industry was very apparent. Regarding florals, I originally showed her inspiration pictures and she was very flexible in creating my floral quote based on my budget without sacrificing the vision I had. The day of the wedding, she and her assistant set up all of our "from home" decorations exactly how we wanted them to be set up. And I was absolutely blown away by my flowers and her centerpiece designs she created! Thank you Donna and Team for making our day unforgettable!

Above & Beyond Bouquets!

Donna is talented, professional, and so very kind. She was our florist for our wedding earlier this month (October 2023). The bouquets, boutonnières, and corsages that she created were all perfect and exactly what I had envisioned. I also loved how Donna crafted the corsages into pearl-like bracelets with the sunflower (our main flower choice) attached to it. We definitely recommend Donna for anyone’s floral needs! 🌻🤍💐♥️

Vow Renewal Ceremony/October 15,2022

Donna was so wonderful to work with. She brings talent, expertise, professionalism and is full of fresh ideas that made our vow renewal perfect! She coordinated with vendors, handled decorations, and put us at ease for our ceremony. She and her husband make a perfect team and work so well together. We will definitely look to Donna for future events.

Above and Beyond!

Donna and her assistant Arika are amazing and worth every penny! Donna handled all of the planning details, our floral arrangements, and made sure the wedding day ran smoothly. She is detailed oriented, knowledgeable, kind, warm, and patient. Leading up to the wedding, she answered my endless list of questions with a smile every time. Both Donna and Arika are true professionals. They listened to what we wanted and handled a few last minute changes with a smile. The final result was an amazing and magical evening! Many of our guests commented on how beautiful everything was and how smoothly the evening ran. Having Donna allowed us to enjoy the day without any of the worries or stress. I can't say thank you enough!

The wisest choice which made our day run smoothly.

The owner, Donna, was very warm and personable but extremely organized. We just let go and put our complete trust in her expertise. The whole wedding day ran smoothly and Donna and Erica had everything under control. We also used her flower design service. The most beautiful arrangements set off the whole decor - simply overwhelming! Thanks so much for making the day so easy and fun for us!

Perfect wedding day!

Do not hesitate for one second to hire Donna. Without her, I can't imagine what our wedding day would have been. She went above and beyond in every aspect - she communicated with the vendors, coordinated their arrival, set up the table setting, set up all the things I bought for decor, signage etc. Her attention to detail was top notch. She made sure everything was perfect.

In addition to all that, she was our florist and the flowers were beautiful. Everyone complimented them. She is hands the best at what she does. I can't imagine our day being any better.

Donna is amazing

Donna is hands down the best. She is an amazing florist and coordinator - our flowers were a dream. We had the most fantastic wedding day thanks to Donna and Arika. Their attention to detail and expertise made for a seamless day. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

Look no further!!

I wish I could give ten stars! Donna was worth every penny! She was organized, in charge, friendly and sweet, knowledgeable, professional and unbelievably helpful! She took our wishes and turned them into an even more beautiful wedding than we could have imagined, and she was fast and thorough. Her floral arrangements were exquisite and elegant, top-notch. To have the coordination and decor of our big day in Donna’s hands was the biggest relief because we knew no matter what needed to be done, Donna would handle it however we wanted or better. If you want your own wedding wizard to turn your dream event into a reality, look no further!

Flowers and coordination

Donna and Arika were wonderful! They made my wedding day stress free and took care of all of the little details I had no idea about. My flowers were gorgeous. I wanted pretty, rustic, and simple and that’s exactly what we had. Donna also helped with a family issue and made things so much better!
