When my husband and I got engaged, we knew immediately we wanted to get married in Charleston. Living in the Northern Virginia region, we weren't sure if we would find a local photographer to travel with us to Charleston, or hire a Charleston photographer. So, at first, we moved forward with hiring Rebekah for our engagement photos. My husband and I are not naturally comfortable in front of the camera, so we were both nervous going into our shoot. We quickly realized there was absolutely no need to be nervous - Rebekah made us feel comfortable from the first picture! Our shoot was in Old Town Alexandria and we thought we knew the area pretty well, but Rebekah found the perfect hidden gems to take our photos. We brought our nervous and energetic dog and Rebekah took her eccentricities in stride and we got some amazing photos with our pup that we were not expecting. When we got the final photos, we knew we had to find a way to get Rebekah to shoot our wedding. As luck would have it, we share a love for Charleston and Rebekah was on board!

On our wedding day, neither my husband nor I were nervous about the photos because we knew how comfortable and natural we felt when Rebekah took our engagement photos. Stop looking, you have found THE BEST! We chose Rebekah after interviewing 5 other popular and well-reviewed photographers in our area to photograph our wedding. From our first interaction Rebekah was nothing but kind, cheerful, responsive, and extremely helpful. We loved how her packages include “credits” that can be used for items of your choice. We chose to do the engagement shoot and could not recommend doing this more! It gave us a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera and for Rebekah to guide us through the pictures, which was SO helpful. I had a wonderful experience with Rebekah as our wedding photographer! As a photographer myself, I knew this was going to be the hardest, yet most important vendor I hired. I knew what I was looking for, so when I came upon Rebekah's portfolio, style and approach, I had a feeling she was the one! After a virtual meeting, it confirmed everything - she was professional, confident, easy to talk to and she knows her stuff! I knew that personality is just as important as talent, as your photographer is with you the entire day and interacting with all your guests. Rebekah was warm, genuine, calm and in control. She was flexible in our engagement location and was able to be with us the entire wedding weekend- Friday through Sunday. Her second shooter and assistant were equally as wonderful and professional, and she worked well with our videographer. She was able to get us previews the evening of each night (amazing) which satisfied the craving to see photos right away and gave me the patience to wait for the incredible full gallery, which we were blown away by. It felt like we didn't see her (in a good way), but yet she was everywhere- capturing every detail! She dealt with some crazy winds, golf carts and fussy toddlers like a champ. My husband is not "into photos," but even he raved about how wonderful she was and how comfortable he felt. You will not regret hiring Rebekah and it is SO important to invest in capturing these memories that go by so fast so you can relive them for years to come!

Rebekah was extremely professional and personable in all her communication with us, very flexible and easy to work with, and careful to make sure she didn't miss anything we wanted. She went above and beyond on the day of the wedding, and the pictures are absolutely beautiful! She made us feel much more comfortable in front of the camera than we expected, and she was really great about getting pictures of the groom and groomsmen and not just focusing on the bride and bridesmaids. Rebecca did an amazing job on our wedding! We loved all the pictures and she got every detail of the Indian/Hindu ceremony. She also did the usual photos you see at receptions of entrances and cake cuttings. She got some great shots of our venue. It was pouring rain when we got married, but from her pictures you wouldn't be able to tell at all! They were bright, airy, and very clear.

We just had Rebekah take our engagement photos and we are absolutely THRILLED with her work :) We were both nervous ahead of time about taking the photos and how they might turn out, and all I can say is WOW! Rebekah is the sweetest person I have ever met! My fiance and I had a facetime interview with Rebekah before booking with her. She made us feel instantly at ease asking us questions about how we met, what we like to do together and what we would like from our photographer. She is extraordinarily professional, organized and her special touches (like sending us an amazing gift box after booking) are all the icing on the cake of an incredibly talented photographer. The images she captures and her editing are perfect. She pays attention to all the details without overlooking the big picture.
