Because our wedding was in a remote location (Badger, CA), I chose not to hire hair and makeup and I wanted something I could do in Orange County that would last up until after the wedding. I decided to get lash extensions and gel nails and Akiko of Raffine was recommended to me by a friend.

What I liked about Raffine:

- clean, stark white interiors
- consultation prior to the lash extension treatment where length, thickness, allergies, etc were discussed
- private rooms for both lash extensions (bed, pillow under my head, a blanket and a pillow under my knees) and nail treatments (big cushy sofa, a pillow under my wrist while I got my nails done)
- beverage service
- quick yet quality work on both lashes and nails
- lush, dramatic yet realistic lashes (some people thought I was using Latisse) and strong yet pretty, glittery calgel nails (which lasted all the way till early October)
- great customer service from when I step into to the spa until I left
