Raelynn is great! As a mixed race bride who has multiple hair textures and curl patterns, I felt it was really difficult to find a hairstylist who actually knew how to work with my hair. I felt that out of all the stylists I reached out to, she was the only one that would work WITH me, tried to understand my hair, and made sure what she was doing was effective. She also did styles that felt more modern. I had another trial done before of the same style but she made me look too matronly and in reviewing her IG photos after the fact, that seemed to be her style regardless of feedback. However, Raelynn (as you can see from her portfolio) does numerous styles in numerous ways. I did a low bun with romantic tendrils and wave throughout my hair. The style held up all night even as I danced. My coordinator did take out my veil a bit roughly so the bottom tendrils she left in the bun gained a few extra but it still looked okay and held up.

Other plusses: a) She is also extremely cost effective. b) she came to my place all the way in West LA for a trial then my airbnb for the actual wedding hair in the OC. c) she’s super talkative, relatable, and funny, just a good time spent while having 3939583 pins stuck into your hair.

Looking and feeling your best on your big day is an absolute must, and I was in the best hands with Rae! I was having a hard time picking a hair and makeup artist; I wanted to look like I was wearing at least some makeup, while still being recognizable, and I originally wanted hair and makeup for myself only. Most HMUAs I inquired with did really heavy dramatic makeup, and would not do h&mu for only 1 person. My wonderful wedding planner connected me with Rae, who had the beautiful soft glam style that I was looking for, and was super flexible in allowing me to book her for myself only. She came to my house for the trial, and was super punctual. It was such a pleasure to work with her, we just laughed and chatted the whole time she worked because she's such a kind, warm person. The trial went by super fast and was easy because the look Rae showed me was exactly what I was looking for. Once my mom and sister saw my look and how professional Rae was, they immediately wanted to book her as well, and she was once again flexible and we added two more services. The day of my wedding, Rae was again super punctual (even though her car was in the shop and she took an Uber to get to us!) and we spent a very fun morning getting ready with her. My hair and makeup lasted the entire day and night and held up through many happy tears! I will definitely be booking Rae in the future for my special events, and can't wait to work with her again!

Raelynne was amazing!! Super professional and on time. All my girls looked amazing and she made me (the bride) feel like a million bucks! I absolutely loved my hair and makeup it was exactly what I was envisioning. What I loved the most is that I explained to her that I normally do not wear heavy amount of makeup on the daily so she knew exactly what to do so I was still in my comfort zone on my special day. My makeup was beautiful and light but stayed on all day!! Definitely recommend and I’m hoping to work with her again on any other special occasion.
