Ruth was recommended to me by a friend. She has worked in beauty industry for a very long time. We set up a trial session and she came to my house. She was very professional and had everything she needed with her. My fiance came home just in time to "approve" my makeup because he wanted me to look like a bride but he didn't want me looking too over done and Ruth found the perfect middle.
The day of the wedding Ruth arrived with 2 assistance. I had specified that I wanted all of my girls to chose themselves how they wanted their hair and makeup done (they had also picked out their own style of dressed because I wanted all of their personalities to stand out). I didn't even get to see my makeup or hair done before I was rushed out for the ceremony. I had complete faith in Ruth that she had did a wonderful job.
I must say, the day of our wedding was the most beautiful and sunniest day at Koolau I have ever seen. Standing in the sun taking pictures my, makeup did not run or smudge at ALL. In fact, people were so impressed that I didn't even look like the sun phased me. I got totally sunburn on my chest and arms, but my face stayed absolutely perfect.
I also did a post wedding shoot/trash the dress and Ruth came over to my house again to do my makeup and hair. The photographer had asked for a more smokey look which Ruth did.
I absolutely love Ruth and how she was able to do exactly what I wanted with my makeup and hair. Absolutely no complaints and absolutely perfect! I wish I could stick Ruth in my pocket and bring her everywhere with me when I need my hair and makeup done!!
