Trusting Rachel with our wedding photography was one of, if not the best decision we made for our wedding. Considering we had the perfect day, that’s says a lot. We truly could not have had our day go as smooth as it did without Rachel. She is extremely easy to work with, incredibly organized, very professional, friendly, and accommodating, among many other great qualities. Rachel helped establish a wedding timeline so we could capture all of the photographs we wanted. The engagement shoot was a perfect practice run for the wedding so we knew what worked best the day of, we highly highly recommend doing this. This allowed Rachel to be extremely efficient on the wedding day. She didn’t waste anytime and knew how to direct our wedding party of 18 plus us. That’s right, Rachel directed 20 of us flawlessly. You’d think she’s been doing this for 30 years, I’m not kidding. She captured our perfect day so well this review won’t do it justice. Her website truly reflects the quality she delivers.

She knew exactly what to do to create the most amazing photographs and truly capture us. Coming from someone who doesn’t have a sliver of artistic knowledge, I didn’t know you could capture a couple’s love for one another in a picture. I don’t remember every second of our day, but looking at our photographs, I could see exactly what I was feeling in the moment she captured and I could feel it again. It was surreal to see that and experience that the first time. There will be so many spur of the moment organic moments that won’t be directed, Rachel is so quick, she will capture those for unforgettable moments that will be documented for a lifetime.

Most photographers will take pictures you will use to look back on your special day, like Facebook memories. Rachel will capture your special day and make you relive it with all the emotion. Lastly, I promise you even with how nice and professional she is in calls and emails, it’s nothing compared to her positive and friendly personality that you’ll see when you meet her. She made it incredibly fun to be professionally photographed - written by two introverted engineers, one not so photogenic husband that can’t stop looking at wedding pictures, and his beautiful newly wed wife.

My husband and I cannot speak highly enough about Rachel as a photographer! From our first meeting to the last pictures she took, the whole process was seamless and meticulously planned. Rachel took the time to get to know us as a couple through multiple calls, a survey, and discussion about our vision. She made sure to familiarize herself with our venue and integrated all of that into our vision for the day and the photographs.

We had an amazing engagement shoot with her which allowed us to get to know her and her style. Rachel has a way of making you feel relaxed and like yourself even if you are more nervous in front of the camera. She was organized and professional but had fun along with us during the shoot. Our friends and family were so excited to see the photos and it made us even more excited for our big day!

The day of the wedding Rachel and her assistant Nicole were timely and prepared with everything that they could need. They were a calming presence when the timeline fell a bit behind schedule and never made us feel rushed or stressed. Rachel’s attention to detail was evident in the way that she set up shots, read our cues, and communicated with us in the moment. Everything from the smallest details to the group photos were well planned and organized. She was kind to all of our friends and family as well as all of the event staff. She made sure to get all of the group and family photographs that we discussed within our outlined timeline. She went the extra mile to get beautiful shots throughout the entire day from start to finish. When we could not do sunset photographs due to rain, she suggested that my husband and I take photos in the rain. Those pictures turned out to be some of our favorites!

Our wedding album is everything that we could have wanted and more. Rachel’s style is soft and natural, and perfectly tied in with the beautiful scenery of the venue. We love the mixture of formal couples portraits with more natural moments and looks. Looking through the album is like reliving the day, she truly captured the emotions and memories perfectly.
