Rachel Perfectly Captures The Perfect Day
Trusting Rachel with our wedding photography was one of, if not the best decision we made for our wedding. Considering we had the perfect day, that’s says a lot. We truly could not have had our day go as smooth as it did without Rachel. She is extremely easy to work with, incredibly organized, very professional, friendly, and accommodating, among many other great qualities. Rachel helped establish a wedding timeline so we could capture all of the photographs we wanted. The engagement shoot was a perfect practice run for the wedding so we knew what worked best the day of, we highly highly recommend doing this. This allowed Rachel to be extremely efficient on the wedding day. She didn’t waste anytime and knew how to direct our wedding party of 18 plus us. That’s right, Rachel directed 20 of us flawlessly. You’d think she’s been doing this for 30 years, I’m not kidding. She captured our perfect day so well this review won’t do it justice. Her website truly reflects the quality she delivers.
She knew exactly what to do to create the most amazing photographs and truly capture us. Coming from someone who doesn’t have a sliver of artistic knowledge, I didn’t know you could capture a couple’s love for one another in a picture. I don’t remember every second of our day, but looking at our photographs, I could see exactly what I was feeling in the moment she captured and I could feel it again. It was surreal to see that and experience that the first time. There will be so many spur of the moment organic moments that won’t be directed, Rachel is so quick, she will capture those for unforgettable moments that will be documented for a lifetime.
Most photographers will take pictures you will use to look back on your special day, like Facebook memories. Rachel will capture your special day and make you relive it with all the emotion. Put your trust in Rachel so you can relive it instead of just looking back on it. Lastly, I promise you even with how nice and professional she is in calls and emails, it’s nothing compared to her positive and friendly personality that you’ll see when you meet her. She made it incredibly fun to be professionally photographed - written by two introverted engineers, one not so photogenic husband that can’t stop looking at wedding pictures, and his beautiful newly wed wife.

The BEST Photographer!
My husband and I cannot speak highly enough about Rachel as a photographer! From our first meeting to the last pictures she took, the whole process was seamless and meticulously planned. Rachel took the time to get to know us as a couple through multiple calls, a survey, and discussion about our vision. She made sure to familiarize herself with our venue and integrated all of that into our vision for the day and the photographs.
We had an amazing engagement shoot with her which allowed us to get to know her and her style. Rachel has a way of making you feel relaxed and like yourself even if you are more nervous in front of the camera. She was organized and professional but had fun along with us during the shoot. Our friends and family were so excited to see the photos and it made us even more excited for our big day!
The day of the wedding Rachel and her assistant Nicole were timely and prepared with everything that they could need. They were a calming presence when the timeline fell a bit behind schedule and never made us feel rushed or stressed. Rachel’s attention to detail was evident in the way that she set up shots, read our cues, and communicated with us in the moment. Everything from the smallest details to the group photos were well planned and organized. She was kind to all of our friends and family as well as all of the event staff. She made sure to get all of the group and family photographs that we discussed within our outlined timeline. She went the extra mile to get beautiful shots throughout the entire day from start to finish. When we could not do sunset photographs due to rain, she suggested that my husband and I take photos in the rain. Those pictures turned out to be some of our favorites!
Our wedding album is everything that we could have wanted and more. Rachel’s style is soft and natural, and perfectly tied in with the beautiful scenery of the venue. We love the mixture of formal couples portraits with more natural moments and looks. Looking through the album is like reliving the day, she truly captured the emotions and memories perfectly.
We would recommend Rachel Girouard Photography to anyone who needs a wedding photographer. You will be blown away by the quality of her work, her professionalism, and her uncanny ability to capture your day and all of its special moments!

Rachel photographed our rehearsal dinner and wedding day and I had an amazing experience working with her! Her work is incredible and she captured our memories beautifully. Her timeless, classic style is exactly what I envisioned. She made everyone feel so comfortable, she even learned the names of our immediate family members (my MIL still raves about how much she loves Rachel)! Rachel Girouard is an incredible photographer. I could not recommend her enough. Rachel captured my engagement, wedding, maternity and newborn photos. She has been documenting the most important family moments since the very beginning!
Her photos are stunning! They are light, airy and beautiful. She captures the candid moments, tiny details and everything in between. Rachel is not only extremely talented, but also kind, and professional. I was being extremely picky with a photographer for my wedding. I interviewed over 10 photographers and I know I made the right choice going with Rachel! Our wedding photos came out absolutely beautiful! Her turnaround time was fast, her photo skills are excellent, and I truly love her photography style being ‘light’ and ‘airy.’ We got married in Newport so this was the exact style I was looking for. She makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera, which my husband and I both were nervous about before our engagement photos (but even those came out stunning) so we had no fear for the wedding. Also, she gets shit done! For family portraits (we have a big family and people were missing) she made sure people were there. It also rained on our day and she had cute clear umbrellas for us to use. I 10/10 recommend Rachel not only for your wedding, but for any photography needs you may have!

Rachel Girouard is the photographer you want for your wedding. Rachel was a dream come true for me. Without being too cliche, when I first saw Rachel’s work, I was in awe. Then I had the opportunity to meet her, and it was like I was meeting a celebrity for the first time. I had followed her for so long, and never in a million years did I think I would meet her, never mind have her shoot my wedding.
Rachel’s photos are absolutely stunning. Of course, that is what you hire a wedding photographer for, but Rachel is so much more than that. She brings a sense of comfort, calm, and organization to what can be such a hectic day.
Being someone who has never loved being in front of the camera, pictures on my wedding day scared me. I had only spoken to Rachel a few times before my wedding, but on the day, I felt like we had been friends for years. I was so comfortable around her with her camera. I truly mean this in a positive light when I say it was almost as though her camera wasn’t there. Once we got the formalities out of the way, I felt like I never saw her again, yet she captured every moment I could hope for. She has an amazing ability to be everywhere at once but never take you out of the present moment.
Only the photos she delivered can describe Rachel and her team’s ability to capture our wedding. I love every single one. To say thank you is not enough for what Rachel has done. Perfection!
Exactly one year later and looking back on all of our beautiful pictures from our wedding day, it’s clear to us that Rachel has perfected her craft.
We met Rachel at a wedding expo hosted at The Wadsworth Mansion. From the very first moment we saw her work, we instantly knew that she was the one we wanted to capture our wedding day. During our first consultation, it was apparent that from Rachel’s professionalism, to her personality, to her visible passion for photography, we knew she could be trusted with the biggest, most important day of our lives.
Being the bride who was involved in every detail of our wedding (almost to a fault), I craved organization and frequent communication to ensure our big day would go as smoothly as possible, especially during these unprecedented times. Rachel did just that. Through it all, Rachel was completely patient, transparent, super communicative, and took the time to figure out exactly what we were looking for. She went the extra mile to make us both feel comfortable and confident well ahead of our wedding day.
For a couple that needed guidance on how to plan the day, it was apparent that solely through her experience, she was able to ask all the necessary questions and make suggestions to set realistic expectations for everyone.
She made it a point to keep everyone on the same page throughout the day and had no problem delegating the bridal party and guests when necessary. She laughed with us, was prepared with tissues for the VERY many tears that were shed yet still, above all, captured all the tender moments that we will surely cherish for a lifetime. Rachel did an impeccable job and we will without a doubt always give our highest recommendations to her.

Rachel Girouard Photography was the best decision we ever made with our vendors. From the moment we met her she felt like an old friend we knew forever. She is so kind and friendly, we just felt so comfortable with her which was important to us because we didn’t want to be awkward in front of the camera and our wedding photos meant so much to us. We would also be spending most of our wedding day with her and wanted someone we felt comfortable with. We had other meetings with other photographers lined up but after our meeting with Rachel we canceled those other meetings and knew we wanted her to be our photographer. Rachel communicated very well via email and she was even there for me when I was freaking out and didn’t know what to do throughout my wedding planning process. She hopped on the phone with me and gave great advice and always made me feel better. She really did become our friend leading up to the wedding and after. Rachel also did our engagement session and guided us through all the poses. She made us feel so comfortable and we had so much fun with her. Even though it was foggy and a little rainy that day she still took beautiful photos and literally had our album ready the next day! Leading up to the wedding she helped me with the day of wedding timeline which was very helpful to keep everything moving smoothly. Rachel has such a calming presence to her and took such beautiful photos on our wedding day. We received them in a timely manner as promised. Best decision we made for our wedding!
I was originally drawn to Rachel because of her beautiful portfolio, but the deal was sealed when we met for coffee and my husband and I had the chance to get to know her. When we were looking for a wedding photographer there was one thing that was especially important to us (other than taking beautiful photos!) - we wanted a photographer who we felt comfortable with. Someone who we would enjoy having around on the most important day of our lives, during getting ready photos with our wedding party, first looks, exchanging vows, first dances. Rachel captured all of these intimate moments and more with the most stunning photos and her sweet, calming presence made our day go so smoothly.
Rachel is a true professional. Not only is she a talented photographer and a pleasure to work with, but she kept us on track all day and night with the detailed timeline she put together in advance of our wedding day. Her and her second shooter Nicole put all of our friends and family at ease in front of the camera, and beautifully captured the love and happiness we were all feeling that day.

A true professional
We are much delayed in writing this review but we felt it was important to share how wonderful our wedding was because of Rachel. Where do I even begin? We booked with Rachel as the photographer for our wedding. We had already postponed 3 times due to the pandemic, but bringing Rachel on board changed everything for us. Talking to her was enjoyable and she made us begin to enjoy wedding planning again. She was flexible, kind, and was exactly the person we needed at such a difficult time. On the big day, she was organized and prompt and made our entire day flow smoothly. I didn't realize how important a photographer is when it comes to your wedding. They essentially control the entire day, so you want to make sure you're working with a true professional. Rachel was able to get every single photo we wanted taken, had everyone together, and was done before we were scheduled to be. This meant that we could go and enjoy our wedding! Rachel's second shooter, Nicole was phenomenal as well. Both were so kind and flexible and really made it a fun experience. Fast forward to our photos, let me just say they are beyond stunning. I look through our album multiple times a week since March. They were exactly what we wanted. We had all of our formal photos, family group photos, and candids from the day. There were black and whites too (which are my favorite!). So so many of our guests, kept asking about Rachel. Many had said that they wished they had her when their son/daughter/sister/brothers were married. They could not believe how organized, timely, professional, and fun she was. Her photos were so amazing, I didn't regret not booking a videographer. Our photos are something we will cherish for the rest of our lives, and all of that is because of Rachel. We cannot thank her enough. She turned the start of really stressful wedding planning, into something enjoyable and fun. If you are looking for a photographer, look no further. We love Rachel!
My husband and I met Rachel 3 years ago, and plan to keep her FOREVER! She is beyond professional, warm, kind and a dream to work with- especially through post-poning our wedding multiple times due to Covid. She handled the challenges of her job during covid with absolute strength and grace. She treated us with so much respect and pure kindness during that time. Her patience, understanding, and thoughtfulness every step of the way truly demonstrated that she deeply cares about her clients and whole heartedly loves her job. Her work ethic is incredible- we had two engagement sessions done with her prior to our wedding and received our photos well before we would have ever expected to receive them. Not to mention, the photos were PERFECT. Her work is stunning- if you love light, airy and natural photos, Rachel is your gal. We had the best experience with Rachel and I feel so fortunate that I came across her in my search for a photographer! She photographed heirloom items, our ceremony and reception. After we chose her, she left a lovely card and custom cookies in our mailbox. I explained that we weren’t the typical bride/groom and really just wanted to have a party, where we happen to get married. She was communicative and clear without being pushy or overbearing. On the actual day, she was on time, professional, kind, and everyone commented how nice it was to not have a photographer who rushed us. Great communication and stunning photos
We had a great experience with Rachel! She was super on top of everything and helped make our day possible. We were referred to her after we had to change our date and our original photographer wasn't available but I'm so glad that we had to switch to her. With all the stress of having a wedding during Covid, Rachel took care of everything for us and I didn't have to worry about all the details and I can't tell you how much I appreciated that. She was extremely knowledgeable and communicative and the photos came out amazing! They are absolutely stunning and we are thrilled!

10/10 would recommend!
We had a great experience working with Rachel. She shot our engagement photos back in April of 2019. Our wedding was planned for April of this year but unfortunately was postponed due to COVID restrictions. We ended up changing our venue and rescheduled for September. Rachel was very flexible with these changes and responsive to all of our calls and emails (even with a new baby!). She is great at giving direction and posing, which not only makes for great pictures but is so important for making sure the process moves along smoothly and we stick to our timeline of events! We received our wedding pictures in less than 6 weeks and she even walked us through the process of ordering prints. We are so happy with how our pictures came out! I would highly recommend Rachel to anyone!

Beyond impressed with Rachel's photography & professionalism
Rachel photographed my micro-wedding this year and she was extremely flexible and responsive as my husband and I adapted our plans from what we envisioned pre-COVID. We are truly thankful for Rachel's support and understanding, she has a wonderful, calming presence and all of our family members who were able to join our small ceremony told us how impressed they were with Rachel. Everyone noted how easy Rachel was to work with, how friendly and kind she is, and that they really admired her keen eye for every photo! Rachel is very organized and professional and guided each photo and shepherded us along with tips on how to pose that resulted in beautiful photos. I will also say she does a flawless job working in natural light and paying close attention to how light falls on everyone to avoid splotchy-effects from the sun.
Rachel worked quickly to edit our photos and get them to us super-fast. Her online galleries are also very easy to use. We haven't been able to stop looking at Rachel's photos from our wedding day or sharing them with friends and family who couldn't be with us this year. We highly recommend Rachel to anyone looking for classic, stunning wedding day photos!

Best Wedding Photographer Out There
Rachel is absolutely amazing! From the minute we met with her, we knew she would do a wonderful job shooting our wedding, and she did not disappoint. She's so easy to work with, and answered all of the questions we had, starting from what to wear to our engagement shoot. She made taking photos the day of our wedding so much fun, and frankly it was one of my favorite parts of the day. She was able to deliver our pictures to us in less than 8 weeks (even during the craziness of holiday season) and we have been THRILLED with the pictures. They are absolutely beautiful. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer for our day, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding photographer.

Truly an amazing photographer!
Rachel is an amazing photographer and we highly recommend her to capture your precious moments that will last a lifetime through her beautiful photography. My husband and I both love photography so we were really picky with our pictures and probably sent Rachel a million emails with questions. She was so good with responding and answering all our questions and putting our minds at ease. She took both our stunning engagement and wedding photos. We were both so nervous and had no idea what to expect being in front of the camera, but Rachel guided us through the process and told us exactly what to do and made the entire process so much fun!
For our wedding day, she created a timeline for us ensuring that we had enough time to capture each of our photos, which ended up being spot on, on the big day! In addition, she had a list with her of all the pictures we wanted to capture that she used as her guide to verify no photos were missed. We were really impressed by her professionalism. She even made sure we stayed hydrated during our photo session. We received several compliments from our guests on how both Rachel and her second shooter, Lilly, handled our pictures as we asked her to take several large group photos. She’s really good in capturing individual shots as well as large groups, including all of our wedding guests in one photo!! She’s also really great in capturing candid shots for those special treasured moments. After reviewing all our photos, I was so surprised that she was able to capture the 2 second moment of me showing off my wedding ring to my husband, or the moment of me laughing and my mother in tears.
Working with Rachel was a great pleasure, she constantly kept us updated on the process of our photos and is full of surprises along the way. I would tell you what they were, but I don’t want to spoil the surprise 😉 Guess you will have to find out yourself. I suggest you start off by viewing her beautiful work on her Instagram account and shoot her email. In a few days, you might find yourself having coffee with her, discussing your photo contract, and then months later after your wedding still keeping in touch talking about your honeymoon 😊 Thank you Rachel, we are so happy that we chose you to be part of our special day!

Rachel was an absolute pleasure to work with! We were so lucky to have her photograph our engagement photos and our wedding photos! Rachel went ABOVE & Beyond to make sure our day went perfect; from answering all of our questions quickly and effectively to assisting in scheduling our day, Rachel really made our day run smoothly. Throughout the whole wedding process and everything that a bride has to worry about, I never had to worry about Rachel or our photos!
As for our photos, they came out BEAUTIFUL! Rachel is an incredibly talented photographer. Coming from a family who hates getting their photos taken, Rachel did a wonderful job making the process fun, making everyone feel comfortable and getting the photos taken quickly, while capturing every shot that we wanted! Truly an overall amazing experience!
There are truly not enough amazing things that I could say about Rachel. She is so down to earth and easy going, and truly puts 110% into each and every wedding and photo shoot she does. From the first moment I met with her, I knew she was the photographer I wanted for our wedding. She worked with our budget and was also very laid back with a payment plan that would work best for us. Rachel made us feel so comfortable taking pictures and that truly shows in her work, they are so natural and effortless. Rachel makes you feel as if you're not just another client to her, but that you are a friend. She works so hard to get sneak peaks within a few days and all of your images back to you as soon as possible. We received an online gallery within 6 weeks of our wedding with more images than I could have ever dreamed possible, I felt as if I was reliving our wedding day all over again! Photo Pampering by Rachel
Rachel was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning process. Right from the start, she made us feel at ease - which is important for two people who don't love to have their photo taken! Included in our package was an engagement photo shoot. This practice run showed us that we made the right choice - every single photo was beautiful. Leading up to our wedding, Rachel was communicative and attentive to our needs, asking us specifically what we wanted photos of. While Rachel did get all the shots we wanted, she went above and beyond capturing details we hadn't even thought of. We are so lucky to have had such amazing photos taken - we will treasure them forever! After our wedding, Rachel continued to keep in touch. She sent us gifts, including a massive canvas print of one of our favorite wedding photos. We can't wait for a reason to use her again!!

Gorgeous photos, very professional!
My husband and I got engaged in March 2018 and we wanted to try to make a summer wedding that same year happen. I was nervous that some vendors may not be available with such short notice but I knew I would not compromise on the quality of our photographer. I kept saying to my husband “the photos are what we will have to hold on to forever”. Since we were planning to get married at our house we knew the venue was available but I was willing to push our wedding date out if needed to get a fantastic photographer. Luckily we were able to book a Rachel for our August wedding. It was important for me to feel comfortable with her because I wanted us to look our best in our photos. Rachel offered an engagement session as part of the package and it was great to be able to get to know her a bit during that time. I cannot say enough about Rachel’s professionalism, friendly and supportive personality, and of course her beautiful photos. All I wanted was “a few good ones” and we ended up with over 2000 between the engagement and the wedding. We received the full set of images about 2 months after our wedding. We will cherish these photos for the rest of our lives! She really captured us and our guests so well and she and her second photographer, Kate, were a pleasure to have at our wedding. Best decision we made for our wedding!
Rachel was absolutely amazing before, during and after our wedding and we couldn't have asked for a better photographer to be part of our wedding day! She graciously traveled to NYC for our engagement shoot, was always so timely in all of her responses leading up to the wedding, and made the whole planning process stress-free with the timing and day-of schedule that we came up with together. The day of our wedding, I felt completely at ease in her hands knowing that she would take care of everything and get everyone where they were supposed to be for all the photos we wanted to capture. She even got our photos back to us before the original timeline, even during the busiest wedding season! And all of the photos were perfect as we expected. Rachel is the best! We had a wonderful experience with Rachel. From the first meeting, we were very comfortable with Rachel. Her style matched up perfectly to our classic and understated approach. On the wedding day, she and her 2nd shooter went above and beyond to capture memories with different approaches, plenty of natural direction and easy interaction between the different groups of the wedding party, family and guests.
The detail shots that Rachel captured during the preparation / dressing / first look and the rest of the wedding were above and beyond. Sharp shots done very quickly allowed for a fluid experience for everyone involved. We would absolutely recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a very easy-going experience that yields incredible results. From the moment I met Rachel to interview her as our possible wedding photographer, we clicked! She saw my vision despite my inability to express what I was looking for in artistic terms. She photographed our engagement photos and wedding day. She was very easy going for the engagement photos, giving us ample direction with how to pose. She was VERY patient with our puppy who came along for some of the photos. Her delivery of the engagement photos was prompt and easy for us to access.
As for our wedding day, Rachel and her second shooter, Amber Jones, did an incredible job. Amber helped my groom feel more comfortable in front of the camera. Rachel came to me (the bride) and made sure all of my must have photos were done prior to my first look with my future husband. We were so pleased with how effortlessly the first look and pre-wedding photos with our bridal party and families went. She also made sure to get all of our musts throughout the night. Photography is something so personal and poetic. It is truly rare when a persons pasion totally transcends into their profession. Rachel’s work is exceptional, and truly speaks for itself. Not only is her work amazing but she will make you feel extremely comfortable. I was very nervous to be in front of the camera and she made me feel so at ease. Our session was done on one of the coldest days of the year and she showed up ready to go with such enthusiasm! We were all so cold and she without hesitation did her thing. We hired Rachel before we were even engaged! We knew we wanted her for our wedding based off all the beautiful work in her portfolio, after sitting down with her we knew we made the right choice. We have 3 kids and she was amazing with them. Our engagement pics were perfect, our wedding pics were flawless. We just hired her again to do family and maternity photos for us! We received so many compliments from friends and family on how wonderful out photos turned out. I cannot say enough great things about Rachel. Her pictures are gorgeous and she is an absolute pleasure to work with. She is incredibly responsive and personable. I had many of my bridesmaids come up to me afternoon to comment on her kind yet effective management. When you have 20 people in your wedding party who have already had 2 glasses of champagne, you need organization and efficiency. From our first meeting, Rachel impressed me with her professionalism, organization and passion for her work which was obvious by the way she spoke about her career and her heart-felt photography. Rachel was also very straight-forward about her fees so I knew exactly what was expected for payment and when. I had three weeks to plan this wedding with both the bride and groom living out of state. From the time the bridal couple interviewed Rachel over the phone and I signed the contract, I didn't for one minute have to worry about whether or not the photographer would be doing her job. She had a very full questionnaire for the bride and groom and spent time discussing with them what they wanted out of the wedding photography. Rachel fit in. I have a horror of photographers who dress poorly and are in the way at the most important points in the ceremony. Rachel was well dressed and subtle; my daughters, the bride and matron of honor were completely comfortable having Rachel around when we were getting ready. We particularly wanted good shots of the children in the wedding and there were beautiful pictures that resulted. Our guests responded to Rachel's warmth so we have wonderful pictures from the reception. We all felt Rachel was our guest and not just there for a job. She picked some great pictures for our 'sneak peak" that left us dying to see the full portfolio. Everyone of the families were impressed by Rachel and her wonderful work.

Rachel was so calming and confident, she helped us know how to pose/where to stand. She had great ideas about where to take pictures in between the Ceremony and Reception. Because she was so down to earth, we felt really comfortable and that showed in all of the beautiful pictures she took.
We had a pretty long list of family photos we needed to get through, and she was very good at herding people and managing to get great shots of everyone. Now that we have our pictures, I can truly say that I am so glad I went with her. The images are amazing and not a person was left out.
From a business perspective, she was very responsive and organized and she even sent personalized notes/gifts throughout the year and after the Wedding.
On your Wedding day, it's so important to have a photographer who not only knows what she's doing, but also knows how to make YOU feel relaxed and stress-free. I can't imagine there is any other photographer that is the perfect mix of organized/detail-oriented and down to earth / comfortable.

Rachel is an amazing wedding photographer, and was so wonderful throughout both planning and day-of for our August 2016 wedding. From the start, she was so friendly and thoughtful during our conversations – taking us out for coffee, making suggestions on the flow of the reception and what she has seen work best (since we were planning without a coordinator), and being a positive, calming presence throughout. She even sent sweet care packages to get us pumped for the big day itself. And when that big day arrived, Rachel went above and beyond to deliver! Our couples portraits and bridal party photos were so fun to shoot – it really felt like we had a friend by our side taking care of everything. And, most importantly, the photos are AMAZING! We have a great mix of posed shots and in-the-moment candids, perfectly capturing the mood of the day. By the time we got back from our honeymoon, Rachel had a teaser blog ready for us, and even sent us a welcome home package with some of her favorites. In terms of service, friendliness, and talent, we cannot recommend Rachel enough.

Rachel was amazing! From our very first meeting I loved how she was just as excited about my wedding as I was. She was extremely helpful during the planning process, offering suggestions and expertise as needed, and was very responsive to emails. On the day of our wedding she kept everyone organized and on time (at some times even early and with time to spare!). She made sure to capture all of the moments during our day that we had requested, and then some. Our wedding photos are absolutely beautiful! They are a perfect mix of posed and candid shots. We are able to relieve every moment of our wedding through our photos, and we could not be happier!

Rachel is a wonderful person who truly felt like she was apart of our family. She made us feel very comfortable throughout this whole process. From beginning to the end she's always stayed in contact and always made herself available for any questions we had. We didn't hire a videographer because I didn't want to hire someone for somthing I know how to do. That being said Rachel and her assistant did a fantastic job capturing the day, so looking back at the pictures its like watching a video. Very happy that my wife found Rachel to capture our day. Rachel is an amazing and talented photographer! Having a background in photography, I was very selective in style, wanting a mix of both artistic and photojournalistic images. I loved everything she shot, from our portraits to all the photos throughout the reception. She captured our emotions that day perfectly -- just pure joy in every image. I think every moment of our entire wedding was captured and I barely noticed so many shots being taken. She is easy to work with, professional, and made anyone, even the most camera shy person, feel comfortable getting their photo taken.
She also shot our engagement photos and I highly recommend doing that. We got a chance to work with her before the wedding and get to know her. Having already viewed samples in her portfolio, I knew she was talented but after working with her and seeing the results of our engagement session, I had complete confidence she would do an amazing job our wedding day!

I did a mini bourdior shoot with Rachel about 2 weeks ago. The session included hair and make-up. At first I was nervous about getting pictures done like this, but she made me feel very comfortable! I would recommend Rachel Girouard Photography to everyone and have recommended her to several friends already! I had a boudoir photo shoot with Rachel and she was professional but made me feel like we were friends doing a fun photo shoot (with hair and makeup!). During the photo shoot, Rachel directed me and also went with ideas that I had for posing, etc. Before and after the shoot, she was quick to respond to any questions I had. Rachel is such a spunky fun genuine person and clearly knows how to do her job and do it beyond well. She was very attentive to what we wanted/expected and always punctual. I first met Rachel when she photographed my daughter Regans senior photos three years ago this was followed by my second daughter Kyle senior pictures and then followed up with my wedding last August. Right from the start, Rachel provided everything we asked for in our wedding photography and more! She put together a package that met our needs and budget. All of her packages include an engagement session which she was able to schedule around our busy lives and that fact that we live on the opposite side of the country from where the wedding took place. On the day of the engagement shoot and our wedding, Rachel made us feel extremely comfortable and told us exactly what to do to get the best shots. She was open to hearing our ideas for where we wanted to take pictures on the property and was full of surprises along the way. She emailed us sneak peaks after the engagement shoot and the wedding before the pictures were done being edited. She even showed up the day of our wedding with a canvas from our engagement session! Rachel's second photographer was absolutely amazing as well and did a wonderful job of capturing the angles and parts of the ceremony that simply can't be captured by one person alone. When our wedding pictures were ready, Rachel provided us with a username and password to log on and view the pictures online and also mailed us a customized USB drive with the pictures as well. I would recommend Rachel to anyone who is looking to truly capture their important moments wedding or otherwise! Rachel really went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations for wonderful photography!

I couldn't be happier with Rachel! My sister got married last May and I was her maid of honor. I was with her for a few of the different meetings she had. Rachel was always very polite and made us feel like she was as excited for the wedding as we were. Rachel calmed all of the bride's worries and we knew that everything would be ok. The day of the wedding was everything my sister wanted. Rachel went above and beyond keeping composure even when the flower girl had a melt down. It takes a very special person to be able to handle my family as well as Rachel did and we could not thank her enough for it!

We were so overjoyed when we saw our wedding photos. Rachel did such a beautiful job. Not only did she capture every beautiful moment of our outdoor ceremony, she did it in 100 degree weather at 10 in the morning. The sun was gleaming so bright and it was so hot and sweaty, but you'd never know by the photos. She is so friendly and sweet we have definitely made her our go to girl for photos!

I had SO much on my mind planning my wedding, the last thing I wanted to worry about was a photographer. I sat down with Rachel Girouard and she put my mind to ease. We can't say enough about Rachel Girouard and the wonderful job she did photographing our wedding on Oct 4th 2014. Rachel is a true professional with an extremely friendly demeanor that makes you feel so absolutely special even before your big day! She feels like one of the family with the little things she does right from the start. She sent us a lovely welcome package including a special delectable treat! Rachel was is constant touch with me (the bride) to insure all my questions were met and reviewed our needs as well. She helped me with the time line for the wedding and family photos that we needed. She assured us that dispute the rain (yes it did rain on our wedding day!) that everything would be fine. I found out later that Rachel also helped set up in the venue some of the decorations while photographing prior to the ceremony, to just add that special touch. We feel so fortunate to have had such a wonderful person working with us and we know that our pictures will be just exquisite! We highly recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a skilled photographer with an eye for the natural beauty in life!
