Teaching seventh grade and high school for thirty years in the same community, and creating the Jewish Student Union, students grew into brides and grooms. They all wanted their childhood rabbi to officiate. That's how Rabbi Sherbill came to be under the chuppah with over 500 couples.

Rabbi Sherbill has popularized customs and traditions as a context for joyous celebration. He has brought meaning and a glimpse into the keyhole of eternity through his wedding ceremonies. Officiating at over 500 weddings, spanning the globe from Jerusalem to Jamaica, he has popularized the pre-nuptial ceremonies of the tisch, tannaim, bedekan, ketuva and bedeken.

Ordained by Jerusalem's two chief Rabbis, he rose to be a member of Council Of Religious Leaders of Metropolitan Chicago. Rabbi Sherbill has served as spiritual leader of conservative, traditional and orthodox congregations and havurot.
