Pure North Photography was born out of my love for Northern Michigan and the "pure" untouched beauty I am priveleged to be surrounded by every day. I have always been fascinated by the human face. I love all the different moods, expressions and moments I can capture with my camera and I love that those portraits become a visual history by which families can chronicle their lives. This is not just my hobby. It is my career and lifelong passion. I have a degree in portrait photography and worked for one of Metro Detroit's premier studios for over 13 years before opening Pure North in 2012. I know how to use posing and lighting to create flattering angles for every face and body type. I love people and help put my subjects at ease for a relaxed vibe during our time together. I work within the natural environment indoors and out with natural and strobe lighting to create portraits to last a lifetime. I love traveling for destination weddings and am available for weddings and portrait or commercial work throughout Northern Michigan and beyond!
