Phil Trau was an outstanding DJ at our wedding. We very very picky and prescriptive- had a definite vision for the music and needs at our wedding. It probably also doesn't help that I work in events, so have a bunch of experience working with great production vendors. Phil met and exceeded pretty much every one of my expectations.
Phil's website is on point- so easy to find and enter all of the songs you want him to play at your event, and rank them according to how much you want to hear them. The site is awesome. So well designed and helpful! You can keep coming back and adding to it as new requests or ideas come through, and he keeps everything organized and recorded so you never have to worry on the day of.
Phil is easy to work with, not intent on being too much of a presence if you don't want him to be. He kept the dance party going at our wedding, and didn't waste time with announcements or fillers- which was really important to us. He was very professional and- perhaps most importantly to me- he wasn't needy about details. We had two calls leading up to the wedding day and that, along with the schedule we worked out, was all he needed to ensure everyting went absolutely smoothly on the day of.

Simply fantastic. Pricing was extremely competitive, interactions were always cordial and easy to get a hold of, very accommodating with literally last second music requests. Photo booth is designed well and was obviously a big hit - big plus is presentation of props, they aren't just scattered everywhere. Extremely professional - wonderful emcee services. Pure Energy did a great job providing the DJ for our wedding. They did so mush more than just play music. They kept the event going from pre-wedding music through the ceremony, announcements, etc. Once we completed the dinner and it was time for dancing the DJ kept it going and feeding off the group energy so the dance floor was always going. We ended up extending the reception 2 extra hours because everyone was having a great time and nobody wanted go home.
I highly recommend them and plan to use them again in the future!

Great company to use for a wedding. We live in San Diego, but were always able to communicate with Phil and Natasha to see what we needed to do. Met with them two days before our wedding and provided us all the details and were able to come up with a finalized song list for the big day. Kenny was our DJ and did an outstanding job! Very easy to talk to and flexible on schedule changes.

Phil was fantastic day of event, and both he and Natasha were on spot with pre-planning! Phil kept the party going and knew how to mix the various music tempos to pace the reception dinner and night. He even told us how to cut the cake when the time came! ( little detail that we forgot ;) ) he made sure to keep us on schedule in a gental way - he'd ask if we were ready in 5-10 minutes to do this part or that part of the evening

Pure Energy was an incredible vendor providing DJ and lighting services for our event and they were. From the start they were always willing to help and fielded all of our questions. All of our guests loved the music and kept dancing until early in the morning. They also are an great value for the services they provide and you can fully customize your playlist. Phil and Natasha are great at what they do!
