About

Our best wedding clients want to throw an event. They know what they want (or what they don’t want) and are ready to dream big. In addition to rentals and event design services, we offer two planning packages.

Our full-service wedding production is for couples who want help planning everything. Our month-of package is for couples who want to plan themselves but need help leading up to the big day. We book a few couples per year for wedding planning. Our list is kept intentionally low so we can provide our clients with the attention they deserve.

Full-service wedding production (starting at $5,750)

Our full-service wedding planning package is built for couples who want someone to manage the major and minor details of their big day. This package includes the facilitation of vendor contracts, on-site visits at your venue, finding the best hotel rates for your guests, budget coaching, wedding day management, and more based on your particular needs.

Consultation meetings

We’ll work with you and around your schedule to keep planning moving. Our meetings can be held virtually, by phone, or in person. Here is a sample meeting schedule, but these can vary based on our clients’ needs.

  • Initial consultation: meet our team; discuss your initial vision

  • Budget meeting: discuss vendor referrals, venue, food, beverage, event design, rentals, invitations, accommodations, transportation, etc.
  • Design meeting: discuss overall design, rentals, and décor needs
  • Team meeting: bring all vendors together to align on needs
  • Logistics meeting #1: initial venue layout and supplier needs assessment
  • Final consultation: meet one month prior to your wedding at your venue to finalize:
    • Tent and rental placement
    • Ceremony layout
    • Design and logistical details
    • Load-in and tear down plan
    • Reception layout and flow of room(s)
    • Guest seating and food service
    • Electrical and lighting needs
    • Design and rental installation
    • Vendor access needs
    • And more…

  • Logistics meeting #2: finalize details of ceremony and run-of-show with client, venue, vendors

Vendor recommendations

Your wedding planner can also act as the main point of contact for all your vendors throughout the planning process. We can review contracts, negotiate rates, and ensure alignment on expectations, timing, and delivery.

Our network of vendors throughout the tri-state region covers décor, invitations, venues, photographers, stationary transportation services, and so much more. Once we understand your style, preferences, and budget, we can assemble the right vendor team to execute your vision.

Wedding tools for our full-service couples

We provide our couples with easy-to-use tools that we’ve built over our many years in the wedding industry. These tools can be used digitally or printed and placed in binders. And we’ll customize your roadmap to meet the unique needs of your wedding.

    • Wedding workbook: 60+ pages of planning resources, giving you a central location to record all the details
    • Roadmap: customized, prioritized timeline that outlines to-do items leading up to your wedding day
    • Week-of timeline: vendor logistics (who, what, when, where) shared with entire vendor team the week prior

Day-of wedding coordination

We want your wedding day to be carefree. With full-service, day-of coordination, we take care of everything from your rehearsal the day before to overseeing every detail on your big day.

Rehearsal

  • Up to one hour at ceremony site, typically the day before the wedding

Wedding day management

  • On-site coordination team that covers everything for your ceremony and reception, from initial vendor setup to send off (as agreed upon in your final consultation meeting)
  • Ceremony duties may include programs, unity candles, sand ceremony, light-weight rental setup, aisle runners, candle lighting, etc.
  • Reception duties may include oversight of vendor load-in, placement of escort cards, favors, photos, gift table, and additional items as outlined in wedding workbook
  • Wedding party management to keep wedding parties and vendors on an established timeline distributing flowers and bouquets, pinning corsages and boutonnieres as needed.
  • Point of contact for clients, vendors, and venues throughout the day. Can distribute outstanding vendor payments as supplied.
  • Teardown oversight when applicable

Month-of package (starting at $3,950)

Our month-of package is built for couples who have been actively planning but want to hand off the final details when the date gets closer. We take the reins in those final weeks for our month-of clients—managing the timeline, taking on vendor communication, and handling the overall wedding day production.

We created this program to ease the stress and streamline the final few weeks. This is a great option for couples who want to ensure no detail gets overlooked but would rather take those final weeks and focus on each other.

What you get

In our initial meeting, we’ll talk through your existing plan and identify what you need us to manage. From there, we’ll communicate mostly via email. Then, we’ll have one final meeting with you and one logistics meeting with your vendors to get everyone aligned for the wedding weekend.

You’ll also receive a variety of tools and resources to help along the way.

  • Wedding workbook: 60+ pages of planning resources, giving you a central location to record all the details
  • Week-of timeline: vendor logistics (who, what, when, where) shared with entire vendor team the week prior
  • Two hours final prep: rehearse ceremony and walk through venue to finalize the flow for the week of the wedding
  • Nine hours of wedding day management customized to your needs, which may include:
  • On-site coordination team that manages everything for your ceremony and reception, from initial vendor setup to send off (as agreed upon in your final consultation meeting)

Additional notes about wedding packages from POP Event Company

Our preferred method of contact is email. If you send us a planning inquiry, we will get back to you as soon as possible during office hours (Monday through Friday between 10am and 4pm Eastern). Please note that we do not communicate about our events via text message, unless initiated by your wedding planner or coordinator the week of your wedding.

All wedding packages include one lead planner. Additional assistants can be added to the team as needed. Rates for additional assistants (as well as coordination packages) can vary based on guest count, scope of work, and budget increases.

Weddings with multiple locations and/or outside of the immediate Johnson City, Tennessee area will incur additional travel and assistant fees.

Each month-of client will be assigned a staff coordinator one month out. If additional assistants are necessary, you will be billed at a rate of $75/hour, with a required three-hour minimum.

None of our wedding packages include setup for tables, chairs, pews, place settings, or furnishings. If you need these services, we can help you source additional resources for this. Please advise in our initial meeting.

For DIY Couples, we introduce our 70 page custom Wedding Workbook. Available as a spiral bound notebook (shipping can be added) or a printable version so you can print the pages you need as you need them! It is a wonderful resource in guiding you through the process and allowing you to keep all of your details in one place.

Spectacular

Brandi and The Positive Approach Team are absolutely amazing. My Husband and I did the One Month Package and we cannot say how worth it, it was. Brandi went above and beyond to help with any of our questions, would contact vendors and would be open for any resources or concerns we had while planning our wedding. We would have been lost on wedding day without her and her team and feel this was way worth the cost. Would highly recommended Positive Approach for any planning needs and know that you will get the best results and care.

POP Event Co. creates magical atmospheres!

POP Event Co. was truly a life saver. We hired them for lighting design for a June 22nd wedding at our venue. Travis was so incredibly helpful before and after the wedding. He was determined to make sure the lighting design was perfect, and he is EXTREMELY detail oriented. I cannot say this enough... They are 100% worth every single penny, and we will be using them every chance we get in the future. A lot of people think they can hang string lights up and call it a day. It isn't easy. Especially if you want it done right. POP Event Co. creates a lighting plan based on what you want your event to look and feel like, and they truly deliver. Travis, thank you so much for your hard work. I can't wait to work with you again for our next event!
