It ended up being so cold and rainy for our June wedding, and the ceremony was still breathtaking with the ocean as the backdrop. The last-minute transition to an indoor ceremony was seamless and our guests forgot all about the 20 mph winds once they stepped into the beautiful venue. The venue had plenty of space to hold both the ceremony AND reception for our wedding of 110 guests.

Clare was so easy to communicate with and the whole staff made sure our day went off without a hitch. By far the best value for any oceanfront venue in Maine. Convenient to our hotel block and the airport (we had a lot of out of town guests). Couldn’t have asked for a better venue! The bistro lights and uplighting provided were an excellent touch!

Beautiful, large, spacious event space with stunning views. Used the outdoor "garden" space on the water for the ceremony, large deck for cocktail hour, and the sunset was incredible through the many windows.

My husband and I originally were to be married in June of 2020. Due to Covid, we had to move our wedding 4 times. Clare from ocean gateway was so fantastic throughout the whole process. She was very responsive and organized, and was so very nice. As others noted, the venue is a blank canvas, but the backdrop of the water (which ironically was all fog the day of our wedding) is so beautiful. Our friends and family all commented on how cool it be venue was. Also there was plenty of room for our 185 person wedding which was a big plus. We did hire an event coordinator to help with our wedding, but honestly you could probably get away with just a day of coordinator to help organize vendors because Clare makes the ocean gateway side of things very easy.
