From day one Plum Point Lodge made us feel special. They were quick to respond back any time we had questions or concerns. They treated us and our wedding as if they were preparing it for a family member. We met with them several times before the wedding. Christina always had samples of local wines to try. They worked with us so that we could have the perfect day and still be in within our budget. We had the wedding right on the property at the pavilion by the water. The lodge made sure that it was set up exactly to our wishes and that there would be adequate parking and lodging for our guests. Our reception was in “The Winston”, the building behind the lodge. Christina and her crew set the tables and decorated it beautifully for us which took a lot off from our very long “to-do” list. Dennis, chef extraordinaire as I like to call him, is an amazing cook. He prepared the absolute most delicious meal on earth. We were very specific about what we wanted for our wedding dinner, and he went out of his way to make it happen. Not only that it exceeded our expectations, and our guests commented on how delicious the food was. Christina and her crew were awesome during the reception attending to every want and need of my guests. They also did the majority of cleanup of The Winston after the reception.
They went above and beyond for my guests that stayed at the lodge. A few of my guests had special needs and Mike made sure to put them accommodations that best met those needs. My husband and I stayed in the Bridal Suite. Let me tell you- the Bridal Suite was gorgeous!! The girls and I had a great time drinking wine and preparing for the ceremony. Christina in the meantime was connecting with all my vendors and showing them where to set up so that it was one less thing that I had to worry about.
Some extra special things that I think sets Plum Point Lodge apart from the rest. Most places you are just an event to them. You get married, they serve you good food, they collect your money and they move on to the next event. They did extra little things like someone would do for family. Christina gave my husband and I each a stone/crystal on our wedding day. I carry mine in my truck and my husband still carries his every day in his pocket. Those small gifts remind us every day of our wedding day and how we were treated at Plum Point Lodge. They also knew that I purposely scheduled my wedding to coincide with an event that takes place in that area yearly. When the date of that event was changed I was extremely upset and very disappointed. Mike drove over a 100 miles to make sure I had the same type of experience at the end of my wedding. We truly had the perfect day!
I will never think of Mike, Christina, Dennis, and Plum Point Lodge as the venue where I had my wedding and the people who work there.

Our wedding was a wonderful experience at this venue! Everything was set up beautifully and it was affordable for our budget. Alexandra was the lady we talked to and who helped us out with planning and the cleanup. There was a slight delay in communications often, but in the end everything worked out flawlessly and the ceremony went off without a hitch! It was a wonderful experience, but I wish the communication was a little better in order to work through any confusions and help us feel a little less stressed before our big day.
