I can't say enough about Mia, Laron and their team. Of all my wedding vendors, they were my favorite (and easiest) to work with. They were very accessible and easy to reach; I could message my random thoughts and ideas at any hour and Mia would respond almost immediately. They work tirelessly around the clock to get things done so you aren't waiting to get your photos back; mine were sent to me the next day. They are open to suggestions and ideas; I had different visions for my engagement shoot and they were willing to do things out of the norm to make it work. Our photoshoots were fun and unique. I did a boudoir shoot with Mia and she made me feel very comfortable in an intimate setting and it was not awkward at all. Mia is your hype girl! I love their willingness to go with the flow while still getting things done. Mia and Laron complement each other very well. Our wedding was at the Courthouse and the best part is that she knows all the sweet spots in that place, also has perfect communication with the staff and guides you in every step. So you really feel an added value because it is not only making pictures but also gently providing guidance and advice.
We had the first sessions at the Courthouse and the second one was going to be at Balboa Park but due to a local Festival she recommended us to search for plan B (Sunset Cliffs, or Shelter Island) The pics of the sunset were amazing. Mia out did herself. I went from switching up our wedding in Barbados to a courthouse wedding in San Diego w/ about 4 days to plan. PKA Photo had the only website where I can view the calendar and check their availability immediately AND BOOK their service all w/o waiting for a response from the photographer to see if their available, which can take hours or days, time I didn’t have to waste. Another plus is their incredible work. I loved the style they have. And that last quality that sold me was the price. Convince, style and price are all reasons to use PKA photo. My husband and I booked our elopement photoshoot with the PKA team and added on drone photography and officiant. They helped pick up my husband ahead of our first look and we switched locations one of the ceremony and one to capture footage for our videography. LaRon did our wedding photos for us and everything came out beautiful! We booked a 3-hour elopement style session for our courthouse wedding. LaRon arrived right on time at the county clerks office for our ceremony and captured a mix of posed photos with our family as well as some candid shots. After the ceremony, we traveled to Balboa Park where LaRon took more family photos and then led us around Balboa Park to capture gorgeous photos of me and my new husband. He knew exactly the right spots to capture the best photos. It was a hot day to he did his best to keep us shaded. Turn around time was so fast for both our raw images and edited photos. Overall great experience!
