I can't say enough about Mia, Laron and their team. Of all my wedding vendors, they were my favorite (and easiest) to work with. They were very accessible and easy to reach; I could message my random thoughts and ideas at any hour and Mia would respond almost immediately. They work tirelessly around the clock to get things done so you aren't waiting to get your photos back; mine were sent to me the next day. They are open to suggestions and ideas; I had different visions for my engagement shoot and they were willing to do things out of the norm to make it work. Our photoshoots were fun and unique. I did a boudoir shoot with Mia and she made me feel very comfortable in an intimate setting and it was not awkward at all. Mia is your hype girl! I love their willingness to go with the flow while still getting things done. Mia and Laron complement each other very well. They have different perspective from one another so when they put their heads together, there is more opportunity for creativity, visually stunning work and a unique experience. Highly recommend PKA for any event. -

Love love loved working with PKA photo & Video! They were extremely professional and communicative throughout the entire process. My husband and I booked our elopement photoshoot with the PKA team and added on drone photography and officiant. They helped pick up my husband ahead of our first look and we switched locations one of the ceremony and one to capture footage for our videography. After the photoshoot they sent us our pictures and videos super quick for reviews. We'll be excited to book with PKA again!! -

Choosing Mia from PKA Photo for our elopement was one of the best decisions we made. The moment she arrived, she jumped right into action, immediately capturing the details of our setup and décor before the ceremony even began. She also worked seamlessly with our coordinator Isabel, which made the entire elopement flow effortlessly and stress-free. Mia brought such calm, warmth, and joy to our experience. She has an incredible eye for capturing genuine emotion and candid moments, and we felt completely comfortable the entire time. We had ten family members join us as guests, and Mia, along with her husband who came as an added bonus, made sure every single person felt included and special. LaRon is the True Wedding Pro
LaRon did our wedding photos for us and everything came out beautiful! We booked a 3-hour elopement style session for our courthouse wedding. LaRon arrived right on time at the county clerks office for our ceremony and captured a mix of posed photos with our family as well as some candid shots. After the ceremony, we traveled to Balboa Park where LaRon took more family photos and then led us around Balboa Park to capture gorgeous photos of me and my new husband. He knew exactly the right spots to capture the best photos. It was a hot day to he did his best to keep us shaded. Turn around time was so fast for both our raw images and edited photos. Overall great experience! -

400 Google 5-star reviews for a reason! I worked with Mia and LaRon for photography and officiant services. They are incredibly professional, kind and also fun! They are very responsive via email and zoom.
Mia did our engagement photo shoot in the pouring rain and got amazing shots of us - I knew afterwards that our wedding photos would be amazing and unique and they were! For our wedding, Mia was able to photograph us beautifully even in a difficult setting (Birch Aquarium is dark), and do an awesome job. She also got beautiful sunset photos of us. LaRon's officiant service was beautiful and everyone cried! Thank you both, you are awesome. -

Seamless Experience From Start to Finish
From booking the event until the final shot of the night, Mia and LaRon were amazing and the whole process couldn’t have been any smoother. They were extremely friendly and clear in helping us identify what our expectations and priorities were with our photos. They were even flexible enough to push back the intended starting time 30 minutes due to a miscommunication we had with the wedding venue, and also took time to take some extra shots for us even after our allotted time was up - they could have easily said no, so we really appreciated that.
Overall, I was satisfied in all aspects, including pricing, their engagement with not only us but with everyone else in our wedding party, the organization, and time management to get through the necessary groups and shots in time (we booked for 3hrs total).
We received the unedited photos literally on the same night as the wedding which was a delight. We cannot wait to see the finalized photos + video. Thank you PKA! -

BEST Decision Ever!!!
We couldn’t be happier with our decision to hire Mia and LaRon for our engagement shoot and wedding day! From our first meeting to the final gallery, they were professional, friendly, and incredibly talented. They made us feel completely at ease in front of the camera, captured every moment beautifully, and somehow managed to be everywhere without being intrusive.
The photos came out absolutely stunning! Our friends and family haven’t stopped talking about how amazing the pictures turned out. Mia has an incredible eye for detail and storytelling, and we’ll treasure these photos forever. Also, shout out to Nafas! She's an amazing photographer as well and made sure to capture the best angles.
Even after the wedding, they've been extremely helpful with making sure every detail is perfected and that we are absolutely happy with the outcome. Mia and LaRon from PKA Photo & Video were an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! From our very first Zoom meeting with Mia, we instantly knew they were the right fit for us. Their warm personalities, professionalism, and creative energy made the entire process feel so seamless and exciting.
What really drew us in was their photography style, vibrant, rich in color, and full of life. We didn’t want muted tones, and their work beautifully highlighted all the colors and emotions of our day.
Before the wedding, Mia stayed in touch with regular check-ins and had us complete a detailed form to make sure they captured the moments most important to us. On the big day, both Mia and LaRon were incredibly kind and professional as they introduced themselves in the bridal and groom suites and got to work capturing everything with ease and care.
One of the most memorable moments was our first look, Mia gave me three creative options, and I went with the most fun one: a cheeky slap on Dustin’s butt, which they captured perfectly. It still makes me laugh!
Throughout the day, they took advantage of every little moment and detail to capture meaningful, candid, and artistic shots, not just of us, but of our loved ones too. Their attention to detail and ability to tell a story through their lens is truly next-level.
The communication didn’t stop after the wedding either. That same night, we received a link to our photo gallery, including all the raw images. We got to choose 40 images for retouching as part of our album and opted to pay a bit more for 300 additional edited shots, it was 100% worth it. We also received a beautiful wedding album video, a highlight reel, and our full wedding video, all of which captured the magic of the day perfectly.
Mia and LaRon are a power couple, amazingly talented, incredibly easy to work with, and just wonderful people. You honestly can’t go wrong with them. If you’re looking for photographers who will go above and beyond to capture the heart of your wedding, look no further! -

We are so happy with the work Mia and LeRon provided for us for both our engagement shoot and our wedding! Out of most of our vendors, they were some of the easiest and most flexible to work with. And when it comes to value for money, they are incredible compared to many other photographers quotes or packages we received. Mia and LeRon made us feel super comfortable in all of the different shots. They have a great sense of humor, so it was genuinely a good time getting to know them, and then have them at our wedding itself!
The whole process was straightforward, and I really appreciate how clear their intake system was. Overall their communication was timely and clear, so we really had no issues on that end at all. We got so much footage and it has been really nice to keep going back through it.

PKA Photography (specifically, Mia, LaRon, Nafas, and David) were wonderful photographers and videographers at our secular and Indian traditional wedding. They were so welcoming, kind, and accommodating of our desires and delivery. We went all out and got the L'Amour package and we have absolutely no regrets!
Before any photo/video sessions, Mia took a Zoom call with us to get to know us, our needs, and what we were hoping for when creating these lifelong memories.
Mia did our engagement photoshoot and she really went above and beyond: To give you some idea, we actually chose TWO locations for this and Mia came to both locations AND it was high tide at our beach location and Mia STILL navigated around the difficult terrain so we could get the perfect pictures.
Before the wedding events, we had a call with both Mia and LaRon and walked through what the wedding would look like, linked them with our other vendors, and finalized with them what photos were non-negotiable (e.g., group photos with friends and family, cultural elements) and what videos were important for us to have (e.g., the first dance). They were incredibly knowledgeable and provided us with the appropriate plans, details, and advance notice for us keep in mind.
On the actual day-of, their photography and videography team were excellent at being behind the scenes, yet they were able to capture all the details that made our day wonderful. Even though we faced some time issues, Mia, LaRon, and their team easily maneuvered around this and provided us with prompt suggestions to ensure our day and photos/videos were not totally interrupted.
The team was also really good at taking us to the side at the right time (think peak Golden Hour!) and getting amazing shots and videos of us. The team hyped us up and kept us energized despite all the happenings of the wedding (fun but tiring for sure!). Outside of this, the team also got amazing shots of our decor, food, and guests which we are so thankful for and happy to see in our album and videos! When it came to the Indian traditional event, the team was also very meticulous in ensuring the special cultural elements were photographed and video taped well which added to the unique memory of our event.
After the weddings themselves, Mia and LaRon were very good in keeping in contact with us and communicated with us on everything--from getting our confirmation on which photos went into our albums to what editing style we liked to letting us know of shipping delays! Their patience and prompt communication with us was definitely a highlight of our experience with PKA.
When it came time to collect our USB and photo albums, we could not stop smiling looking back at our memories. We were also so happy to receive the livestreams of our events which friends and family now have access to in case they missed the even day-of.
Overall, we would recommend PKA 1000 times over. Mia and LaRon are an amazing, dedicated, and kind duo. Their media team added to the happiness and memory of our weddings and we highly recommend them for any of your special events! -

Prior to contacting PKA, I'd cast a wide search throughout SoCal for the best photographers to work with and the reviews spoke for themselves. I'd highly recommend booking with this fantastic company. Mia and LaRon both made this a remarkable experience that we'll always cherish. From the very beginning with our video conference with LaRon. He explained the entire process to us in great detail. We noticed how passionate, honest and transparent LaRon came off. Which was a great plus choosing to book with PKA. At the time we both appreciated the suggestions LaRon offered to us during our meeting that we hadn't considered. We aren't from the San Diego area and his expertise of the area helped out tremendously. Once the day of our appointment came and ended we walked away loving the images that were captured by Mia. One thing I can say about Mia is that she loves what she does and her energy is infectious. I appreciated how she made my fiancée feel comfortable, empowered and especially how caring she was toward the friends who also took part in making our photoshoot a day to remember. Overall, there's so much more I could divulge about our experience and how delightful it was working with Mia, LaRon and their entire team. Working with Mia and LaRon has truly been one of the best parts of our wedding planning journey. I say “working” because being around them feels more like spending time with friends—it’s just that much fun. From the very beginning, they made us feel completely at ease. We met Mia and LaRon at a Bridal Show, and while there were many photographers and videographers there, Mia’s photography immediately stood out to us with its vibrant, sharp colors and stunning, unique angles that captured moments in ways we never would have thought to see. We knew right away that they would bring that same energy and artistry to our wedding photos in San Diego, and they delivered beyond our expectations! Our wedding photos are some of the most beautiful images we’ve ever seen; each one feels like a piece of art.
I’ll admit I experienced some initial sticker shock when we received the wedding package quote, but after discussing our budget with Mia and LaRon, it became clear that booking with them was the best decision we could make. Not only did we get incredible photos and videos, but we also felt like we got so much more in return—their time, dedication, and genuine care. They spent countless hours on our engagement shoot, kept in touch with us throughout our planning process, met us at our venue for a walk-through, and even surprised us with a boudoir shoot. Dream Come True - Highly Recommended!
Our wedding day was truly a dream come true, thanks to PKA Photography. From the moment we connected, they were responsive and attentive to our vision, ensuring that every detail was captured flawlessly. Despite our initial reservations about using a different bridal shop, the gowns provided by PKA Photography were absolutely perfect and added an extra touch of elegance to our special day.
Although there were a couple of minor details that were not explicitly mentioned up front, PKA Photography addressed them promptly and professionally, ensuring that everything ran smoothly on the day. This level of adaptability and reliability made us feel truly cared for and allowed us to relax and enjoy the moment without any worries. We were pleasantly surprised by the extra effort they put into ensuring our comfort and happiness.
One aspect that could have been improved upon was the timeliness of receiving the final edited photos. While we understood that quality takes time, a clearer timeline would have eased our anticipation. However, when we finally received the photos, we were beyond impressed with the stunning results and grateful for the timeless memories they captured.

PKA Photography were incredible for our wedding! We had a very last minute elopement, so we were honestly just hoping for basic services. But happy to say we got exceptional instead. Mia and LaRon helped us go through the ceremony timeline, what vibe we were looking for, and some simple directions that would improve photo quality (like going slow and enjoying the moment!!).
Any special request we hit them with was well received and accommodated for. Communication was quick and transparent. The price was highly competitive compared to other photographers we talked to and we actually got even more services than expected in the end. And the end results were spectacular—they really captured the magic of the day.
It was difficult to pick our 20 favorites to get retouched out of all the beautiful photos, and we particularly loved the video edit. The editing process took a few rounds to get what we were going for, but they were patient throughout the process and helped achieve our vision. The only minor "critique" I can think of was that it was sometimes hard to follow the photographers' direction on the day of, but it was at Sunset Cliffs on a loud windy day, so not on them at all.
I would wholeheartedly recommend PKA be it wedding photos or otherwise

WOW! Where do we begin, PKA photography made our experience extraordinary and so dreamy. We chose to elope last minute and happened to stumble across Mia! She was so easy to talk to and was very communicative leading up to our special day. Mia arrived at our destination (Windansea Beach, CA) extra early to scope out the best spots for soft lighting! Our pictures came out amazing, we were thrilled to show them to our friends and family. After sharing our vows, we had a lux picnic set up that we wanted captured. Mia did such a great job at capturing the real life moments -- she just let us do our thing and encouraged us to be in the present in the moment! We spent a total of 4 hours together -- two hours of portraits and two hours of capturing our lux picnic. Thank you PKA photography for making our elopement so special and memorable!

PKA photography was the best choice my husband and I made for our wedding day. From the beginning, communcation flowed, we understood timelines (and they were very understanding when we had to adjust them last minute), and everyone was incredibly supportive and helpful the whole time. We had Nafas with the bride before the ceremony, and she took gorgeous getting ready photos, even though the house was chaos, she was incredibly patient and understanding! Mia and LaRon met us at the church for more photo coverage as well as video, and they did an absolutely amazing job. The photos came out beautifully, and the mic was hidden so well on the groom that the bride didn't know until the ceremony had ended! They took great care in capturing the ceremony from every angle, and it came out amazingly. We then went to take photos in Balboa Park's cactus garden, and Nafas and LaRon took beautiful photos, were super considerate and very patient with posing and guidance, and made us feel very comfortable! The photos came out amazing, and we are so excited for the video! And the reception. oh my gosh the reception. LaRon and Mia were somehow everywhere at all times and took awesome photos of so many things we didn't get to witness ourselves! They were thorough, they were kind, and they were EVERYWHERE. They took such care in getting the photos done and we could not appreciate them more. Turnaround time for our photos was also very quick! We had the unedited photos available to us within two days, and our first round of edited photos less than two weeks after. They have been so so amazing, from beginning to end, for any events or moments we want photographed, we will be coming to PKA. -

Wow! I started by reaching out to PKA and speaking with Mia. Mia is the kindest, sweetest person you will ever meet. She let my then fiancé, his mom, and I come over to meet her and her husband LaRon and see some of their work in person. They even offered additional services like helping to find a wedding dress or officiate! We had our engagement photo shoot with the two of them. I just had to be difficult. They strongly suggested at least two photographers to be able to cover my >100 guest wedding. I said no, I only wanted one. I wanted minimal interference in my ceremony, I wanted to enjoy the moments in my wedding without worrying about how well I was posing or guests being distracted by too many photographers or not being able to see because there videographer was trying to get a good close up shot. I didn’t want a videographer, and I didn’t want to pay extra for a million retouched photos. I really mostly wanted the raw images of candid photos. With PKA Photography I was able to choose exactly what I wanted and could tailor the package down to it without any guilt or overselling. My photographer, Mia, was WORKING! She had an unending amount of energy it seemed, she caught all the special moments, she was flexible with us as we are a chaotic couple, and she made it work! I love my wedding photos so much, I often find myself looking through them and feeling like I’ll start crying. She knew who my family members were, she knew who to capture. She quickly assessed my personality as a bride and fulfilled my expectations of my wedding photographer perfectly. Wow! Mia is amazing! We hired Mia to do our engagement photoshoot and we were beyond happy with the photos! She was so helpful in explaining her process and suggesting different spots for our photoshoot. My fiance is not a huge fan of taking photos, but she made us feel so comfortable and gave us tips to make everything look great. Mia got us the raw photos super quickly and was really flexible with us when we needed more time to select our favorites (so difficult because we LOVED every one!). Every time a friend sees my photos, they always stop me because they can't believe how incredible the photos are!
