Philip Kent was extremely professional, providing "old school" photography and we were extremely happy with the results.

Philip Kent Studios worked with my fiance and myself prior to the wedding to ensure that we would get the shots we wanted from before the wedding, during the wedding and at the reception. Philip Kent Studio does some amazing work with color and balck and white photographs. Philip Kent Studios also offered photograph viewing online as well as printed copies prior to ordering our final album. Philip was a pleasure to do business with and was very professional during our event.

If you are getting married in the Washington DC area, you should look into this photographer. Not only is he professional with decades of experience but his quality is far superior to others we looked at prior to our decision. Also, if you're shopping prices, save some time because Philip Kent's package price beats any in town!

Philip Kent is excellent! Not only is he truly gifted as an exceptional photographer, but he is so personable and genuinely engaged in the planning of your special event that he almiost seems like a member of the family. In a very private and professional office setting, he easily explains the range of services available from the actual logistics of the event and video options, to the types of albums and creative styles available. His experience is essential for covering the details you never thought of before you stepped into his studio. And once the planning is set, he reassures you with phone calls and time frames that everything is "in motion" and "on track" as scheduled. Philip Kent is totally reliable and his work is exquisite. You can relax...he will be there when you get there...he's got you covered! He has been and will forever be our personal Family Phtographer. When you have the Best, you don't need the rest.

Philip Kent was a fantastic photographer - especially when working with both our large families - over 150 people in total for family photos - turned out GREAT!

We just got our pictures back about three weeks after the wedding and they have turned out wonderful! Philip Kent already had a wedding scheduled for our day so a photographer he works with, Larry, had taken the pictures. I choosed Philip Kent because I knew him and his partners were familiar with our venue. Larry was not intrusive at all. He took pictures that we didnt even know he took. Did we get 500 pictures? No. Honestly though it would be a bit overwhelming if we were to get 500 pictures to go through and pick which ones we wanted. I rather have 300 really good pictures then 500+ medicore pictures. The only small itsy bitsy complaint had nothing to do with the quality of work. In the contract it said we would provide food for the photographer which was no problem. We encouraged Larry plenty of times to take a break and eat something since he was running around so much and he said he usually doesnt eat at weddings. So unfortuantly we lost the money that went towards his food. Again, it didnt take from the quality of work and maybe we got wonderful pictures we wouldnt have gotten if he had eaten lol.

The primary reason that we chose Phillip Kent was that his studio is one of the few that provides actual photos to review and choose from rather than DVD only. He also provided the choice of on-line ordering for our guests. The photos were great - so many to choose from - and the quality was super.
Our meetings prior to the wedding and after were professional and all of our questions were answered to our satisfaction.
The photographer was great - from pre-wedding at the hotel and chapel, to the ceremony, pre-reception (he knew the right places in DC to get the great photos, and through the reception. He seemed to get pictures of all of the guests in the many photos that he took.
The final albums - wedding and parents' - will be cherished for many years to come. We had the choice of using the photos or digitized pages and chose the traditional photo option. The final product exceed our expectations.
We have already recommended Mr. Kent to some of our friends who will be married in the near future.

Philip Kent Photography is the best! Joanna, my photographer at the wedding was so sweet and professional. A couple hours before your wedding can be a very stressful time for a bride and when she arrived she was so personable and nice that it made it easy. It started raining right as the ceremony began and it was outside, she assured me that the pictures would still be good and she was right. They turned out amazing!! Pictures and memories are all you have once the day is over and I am so lucky to have such wonderful photographs and a beautiful album. Philip was great as well. He was so flexible with my schedule and great to work with!
My oldest sister used Philip Kent back in the early nineties for her wedding and he did an amazing job then so I had no doubts. That was the essiest decision I had in my wedding planning.
