I started working at Pelican Lakes in 2010 and I immediately fell in love with our Island venue. I mean where else in Colorado can you have a beach wedding? The best part about working as a coordinator is seeing everyone come together to make a wedding happen. From parents and friends to vendors and staff, there is so much love in the room. There is nothing like the feeling you get knowing that you helped make it all happen. In 2016 my husband and I hosted our wedding at Pelican and we cannot imagine doing it anywhere else.
Hi, my name is Lorna and I’ve been working in the Events Department at Pelican Lakes since 2015. I grew up in Maine and traveled to Crested Butte in 2001 and instantly knew Colorado was my new home. I started my event career working weddings at The Club at Crested Butte and instantly fell in love with events and weddings. Making your dream wedding come true, is what I like to do! Our private wedding island will give you a feel of the tropics with majestic views of the Rocky Mountains, and is truly your destination wedding right here in Colorado.
When I’m not at work, I like spending time in the mountains with my husband, friends and our two dogs. Sometimes you can find me enjoying a cold libation on a patio in Fort Collins.
