I hired Dottie to do the alterations on my wedding dress and she did a wonderful job!
While her space is a bit disorganized and could be overwhelming, Dottie’s sweet personality won me over.
Dottie did the alterations on my dress step by step which I really appreciated. She had me come in for multiple fittings and it was well worth it. By the time she finished my dress, it fit perfectly in every area.
The price estimate she gave me during our initial visit was a bit lower than what I actually paid, but because the dress was so well done, I didn’t mind paying more.
I visited a few other alteration shops before I decided to go with Dottie, and in the end, I’m glad that I used her. Even though her prices fluctuated slightly and her shop is a little chaotic, it’s obvious she really cares about her clients and she’s willing to go above and beyond to make sure they leave happy. I highly recommend visiting this shop if you’re in need of alterations.

I hired Dotti to do the beading and alterations on my wedding gown. I was immediately comfortable walking in to her studio. Dotti was busy up to her elbows with all of her projects, but still made time to talk to me and make me feel comfortable. She was incredibly flexible with her times; even meeting me there as late as 11:00pm on the days I had to work late. This was not something she had to do, she did it to help me. The quality of her workmanship was outstanding. I made my own dress, so I'm aware of the work that goes into it. I hired Dotti to do the beading, which was exquisite. My dress wouldn't have been the same without it. It fit so perfectly, that I never had to pull the gown up, which was strapless. My overall experience with them was incredible. I feel like I have a few new friends. I recommend them to anyone interested in using their services.

Dottie and her team make original designs, alterations, etc. I gave her an idea of the gown I wanted, she sketched it and made it beautifully. She can do pretty much everything including veils, and usually much cheaper than buying the designer gown through retail.

She did a wonderful job on my dress. My sister in-law went to see her and made her a whole new dress from her mothers old one and it was gorgeous! I myself had a very unique dress and she made it work perfect for me. She also made me a beautiful flower for my belt that went around my waist. She is truly an amazing designer!

Dottie is amazing! She made my custom wedding dress for my wedding this past weekend. I came to her with an unconventional idea, and not only did she draw up the design exactly how I wanted it, but her job on the creation of the dress was impeccable. Each fitting was a fantastic experience- she became almost like a part of my family. The experience itself was one of the highlights of the entire wedding planning process. The dress was absolutely beautiful, completed on time, and I couldn't be happier. If you need any sort of alterations done, or a completely custom creation do not hesitate to meet with Dottie- it will be an unforgettable experience with an absolutely fabulous result. She even ended up doing alterations on my Mom's dress for the wedding as well- also done on time and was beautiful.

Dottie and her daughter redesigned a gown that I bought too far in advance for my wedding. Over time I decided that it wasn't "the one." They took my ideas and ran with them. I loved that they were able to capture my vision and make it a reality. I got so many compliments on my gown- it was truly stunning. I felt like a million! They are very talented and great listeners.
However, I have a problem with their pricing. They give you their hourly rates but there is no real way of knowing for sure how many hours and how much of their money is put into the project. Also, you do not sign a contract- that was a bit unsettling. The end product was fantastic but I still kind of wonder how she came to that figure.
The storefront has a great, convenient location as well. But once you get inside it is pretty messy. I understand the nature of their services but I have stepped on pins in the floor- not too cool. Their floors are pretty dirty as well. I never walked very far in my gown when I was wearing it in fear of it grabbing dirt off the carpet.
Other than that- great experience. I would recommend them.

I spoke with the owner months before my wedding date to see if everything i wanted accomplished could be, and she assured me it could.
My dress needed several layers brought up, needed to be let out, as well as the armholes to be widened, so I expected it to cost a lot.
When I asked how much it would be, they couldn't give me a ballpark. They just requested a $60 deposit. When I came in for another fitting, I asked again how much we were looking at, and was given a run around ("maybe 8-12 hours of work; at $40/hr") Since my dress was in pieces, I had to continue.
I ended up picking up my dress 3 weeks after I was supposed to (my choice due to the flood) for our pre-wedding photo shoot, to find my dress still wasn't complete. I had requested (at final fitting 3 weeks earlier) for a new zipper (it was showing) & the zipper on the slip to be fixed, neither was done. I was also supposed to have sequins sewn into my veil, and when I opened it up to put it on, there was none. I also requested my balance, and she had no idea what it was. I was honest , and told her I knew I owed another $10, as well as the cost for the zipper (but it wasn't even completed) and she requested another $30 from me (for unfinished work!!)
Perhaps because I got my dress previous to the wedding date, they were relaxed about this transaction as we would have time to fix the bugs...but our photo shoot was gastly expensive, and equally as important as the wedding itself.
In all, I spent $490 on an unfinished dress and unfinished veil. Very disappointed. When confronted about the incomplete work, I was told "Sorry. Well have fun."
**EDIT** following the photo shoot, the dress still required the unfinished work to be completed, and there was no time. This $2000 dress is UNWEARABLE for the wedding with 2 weeks left before the day.
Broken promises. Rude behavior. Unprofessional. And left me without a wedding gown.
