Paula and her assistant was referred to us by a friend and when we first met with her we thought maybe it was a little out of our budget since we were a DIY couple who wanted to really keep our budget under control. However, after meeting with her and spending an hour chatting about our venue location and the alternative in case of rain, etc., I realized she was a must to have on hand for our special day. She was very professional, warm, and honest. Some of the pointers she gave us before the wedding I would have never thought of until the last minute so I am very thankful to her for that. Facts: Paula and her assistant were professional; was on time as promised; lended a helping hand when someone else didn't show on time; my wedding party loved her; and she eazed my little flower girl's shyness by really interacting with her; they did an amazing job with our guest and the photo booth she sat up was a hit! We were so excited and very pleased with our decision to let her choose our location to shoot our formal portraits. Again, we never would have thought of such a romantic place. Paula hand delivered our package when promised to my front door in the pouring rain. Even though I didn't order an album initially we have decided to allow her to design it due to the trust and experience we saw in her. Highly recommend!

I hired this photographer originally just for my wedding then at the last minute decided that I wanted my engagments photos re-taken by her to that the style would match her work after the wedding. Both of our schedules were busy and hectic, but she made it happen. I have used photographers in the past and I do have to say she was very easy to work with and she met our needs right on. Our wedding was a theme wedding planned outside and she actually helped with the alternatives since we had not planned for rain. You can't even tell that the seating arrangements were completly changed at last minute. What a relief that was for me. We recieved all of our requested poses and then some. However, I wished I would have allowed for more time for our formals and she even insisted that I wouldn't be disappointed, but we just couldn't with our budget. We feel she did a great job for the amount of time we allowed her to capture our special day. Her second shooter was a student and we did not pay for her services but the awesome thing was she gave us all the images she had taken on our wedding day so we ended up with double the photos we paid for. It did take about 6-8 weeks for our CD, photos to arrive, but that was appropriate timing considering these were my wedding photographs. Overall pleased and she will be photographing my BF wedding soon.

Paula Paiva was absolutely outstanding. If I could have rated her higher than 5/5 I would have. She did the photography for our engagement photos and our wedding day and we couldn't be happier with the results. Paula has made an art out of what she does and the photos are magazine-quality and gorgeous. She was also friendly, professional and extremely easy to work with. She is very personable, warm and inviting, which gave us the most intimate and warm photos we have ever had done professionally. I could never use another photographer after working with Paula. She is amazing!!!

She did an amazing job the entire 8 hour long, but wonderful hours we celebrated our big day. Her assistant was funny and actually saved my day with a safety pin, lol. I really stress easy and Paula and her assistant made me feel at ease by putting down their camera's while I was having a dress malfunction. Now that I look back they were probably the only ones calm. We loved her style from the very beginning and knew she was the one just by her easy going personality. Paula captured our day just how we remember it and the family enjoyed them just as much. She offered multi packages that worked well with our budget. From our engagment photos to our wedding portraits we are very satisfied. Some of my photos look like magazine stuff which I would never think I could pull such off, but she did. Paula even went a step further by sending me links to have my favorite print from the wedding applied to wooden canvas for our parents as a gift. Paula even helped with a special backdrop and photo booth we requested kind of late and well after we signed our contract with her. Hopefully, she will be photographing our family as it grows. I am not really good at long writing, but will try to do my best. This was a second wedding for both us, but we didn't want it to be any less. We did choose to plan for a smaller celebration and mid week ceremony. Our needs were for 5.5 hours however Paula and her helper stayed longer because of last minute fun and dance that was going on and she caught some amazing photos of my grandparents dancing along with my parents. three generations on the dance floor! We paid for a large package and knew exactly what we wanted upfront. Being a second wedding for both us we wanted smaller albums to share. And we wanted Art work for our new home to display. All I can say is she rocked it! We even did a boudoir session in our home a week later for romantic art for our room. The most important thing to us was the end result and we wanted art not photos that would be put away in a closet or a box. We learned from the past. Privacy was a big issue for the line of work we do as well. She had no problems signing a confidentiality agreement. The only reason I gave her a 4 is because it was a little hard getting a hold of her but she did tell us that she works alone and returns her own email and phone calls. Paula is her helper were wonderful and I will use her again.

We still did not receive them. Finally two weeks past we received them. Blurry, taken at a distance, and not the quality of a professional who had a second camera rolling. Enough said we do not nor will ever recommend this photographer.

Paula was our photographer for our wedding day as well as our engagement session. Just a few things to share to help you understand what horrific struggles we have had with this photographer. When we first met paula she was such a sweet, down to earth woman who we were comfortable with and were ecstatic to have her as our photographer due to pictures we seen her take. We first had our engagement session, this went fine, a bit difficult to get considering we wanted snow and that was the winter it refused to do just that where we live. We got our photos back everything looked good. However we got our pictures a week later then she had promised. As months went by we tried to keep in contact updating her as needed and so forth many times we never heard back from her I had to double send messages and then call just to get a response. Then came our wedding day, excited as can be with a no worry face on quickly turned upside down in a matter of hours. We took pictures before hand at a local church, perfect. Our ceremony came and went (I wasn't paying any attention to her taking pictures at this time). Then it was time to take pictures after the ceremony, This was HORRIBLE... first we didn't have too much time between this and getting to the reception site so to speed things up... She lost BOTH copies of 2 papers I had given her one with details of the wedding day and one with pictures my husband and I would like to have taken with family and groups. Im not sure how you do that when you consider yourself a professional photographer? (BTW: she had a HELPER the entire time who still could not keep up) We then went to the reception we were enjoying life. Paula then walked up to me and said " I don't think we got very many photos of you and your husband, would you be willing to do this again one day?" My jaw literally dropped.. I was speechless. It came time for our pictures to be IN HAND we did not have them a week went by I called and the response was another few days and
