We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Paul Robert Berman. From our very first phone call, we knew he would be a perfect fit for us — and he absolutely delivered.
Paul is the definition of a professional. He was organized, efficient, and clearly experienced, but what stood out most was his calming presence. Weddings can feel overwhelming at times, and he had this steady, reassuring energy that instantly soothed any anxieties we had. We felt completely at ease in his hands.
He has an incredible eye for what works visually and knew exactly how to position us and our families to get the best shots. When it came time for family photos, he took charge and confidently wrangled everyone together, keeping things moving smoothly without making it feel rushed. At the same time, he was intentional about creating space for just the two of us to share special moments throughout the day. Our first look was beautiful and intimate, just what we wanted it to be. Those quiet, genuine interactions resulted in photos that truly captured who we are and the heart of our relationship.
The final gallery was absolutely gorgeous — better than we could have imagined. Every image felt natural, emotional, and beautifully composed. Throughout the editing process, Paul was communicative and transparent about timing, keeping us updated on when to expect our photos.
We would recommend him to any couple, any day. Choosing Paul was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and I can only hope we have the opportunity to work with him again in the future!!!

As far as the photos themselves, the documentary-style Paul does is so beautiful. The more "portrait" style photos turned out really beautiful as well, but all the candids he took of our friends, family, and us throughout the day were amazing. Paul really knows how to capture the perfect moments and in all the pictures, we're really able to see ourselves and our loved ones exactly as we are. We love how our photos turned out and would recommend Paul to anyone else planning their wedding photography. :)

Paul was the best investment I could have made for the wedding. Paul is easy and effortless to work with. He is intentional and a true artist. Like all artists, Paul was constantly finding new ways to be inspired by the venue, by what was happening in the moment, and how to use the most of the lighting. It made the day of the wedding vibrant, exciting, and stress-free. He made sure that my husband and I could be as present as possible during all parts of the wedding, which is not what traditional photographers do. He also is just a great human, so we felt lucky to be spending so much time with him.

It is not an exaggeration to say that his photos for my wedding (and the work I have seen for others) are on par if not better than what is published in high society magazines like Vogue and Vanity Fair. Paul gives people the gift of wedding photos that make them look and feel like celebrities, models, and royalty. That is the gift that he gave my husband and me. He will give you that gift too, if you work with him.

From the first time I spoke with him on the phone, I knew I wanted Paul to capture our wedding day. The energy he brought on the day of made both my husband and I feel so calm and relaxed. The way he works allowed us to focus on being present and enjoying every moment, which took so much pressure off of us. He captured our day so beautifully - his photos go beyond wedding photography and are truly works of art.

Beyond being a world class photographer, Paul is also a really great human. We ended up having to postpone our wedding at the last minute due to a family emergency, and Paul went above and beyond what I would expect from a wedding vendor. He showed us incredible kindness during what was an extremely difficult time for our family.

Put simply: Paul is the best. Not only are you going to receive beautiful photos capturing your wedding, you are going to get to spend the day with a cool, fun, kind person. Run don’t walk to hire Paul!!!

Paul is the absolute best. His work is phenomenal - he has such a unique eye, his use of light is masterful, and his photos look like works of art. But not only that, he is a genuinely wonderful human being. My husband and I booked him for our wedding day and did an engagement shoot with him. He made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and we are obsessed with the photos. He brought the best energy to our wedding day and we couldn't imagine anyone else capturing such an important day of our lives. Thank you doesn't seem like quite enough! So much gratitude!

My wedding had to be rescheduled twice because of Covid. The ONLY vendor who I really cared about making sure could make it was Paul. His work is absolutely gorgeous and is, in my opinion, so unique and beautiful, particularly in the wedding space. If you want photos that are actual art, and not just cheesy pics of you and your friends smiling, he is your man! Not only is the finished product amazing, but he is a JOY to work with. Very easy going and super professional. Photos are such an important part of you wedding and Paul is the BEST!!

Reading all these reviews, I’m not sure Paul needs another one about his work itself. And honestly, my words couldn’t do it justice. It’s beautiful, emotional and something we have treasured since the first day we got our pictures back. If you haven’t already, do yourself a favor and visit his website or Instagram – his pictures speak for themselves and then some.
So instead I’m going to write this review for anyone that is worried they don’t have what it takes to be photographed by someone as cool as Paul. Trust me, I’ve been in your shoes! My husband and I are awkward goofballs who couldn’t look less natural in front of a camera if we tried. We’re the people who are always blinking or turning our heads at the worst moment…
That said, I can 100% confirm all the comments here that Paul is one of the best people we’ve ever met. He is kind, funny and makes you feel like you’ve known him for years after just one call. He will make you feel and look natural without you even realizing it. Our engagement shoot fell on our daughters first birthday and Paul took amazing pictures of her that still make us tear up (she was so small!). Most couples reading this probably won’t have children, but the fact that Paul managed a wedding day with a rambunctious 18-month-old thrown in the mix makes it clear how good he is at his job. If you’ve got a wild card in your wedding party – Paul’s got your back!
With the world the way it is these days, weddings may be smaller and more intimate. Having Paul at your ceremony will truly be like having another close friend there. One who just happens to be hugely, unbelievably talented. We truly cannot recommend him enough.

Can’t say enough about Paul! He was extraordinarily professional but knew exactly how to personalize the day to get us feeling comfortable in front of the camera.

When my husband and I met Paul for our “engagement shoot,” it felt like we were getting together with an old friend even though we were meeting him for the first time. He’s a genuine, great guy and not only did we walk away with magazine worthy photos (seriously... amazing), but we were stoked to have made the friendship.

Frankly, Paul is the best of the best – not just an MVP wedding vendor or an unreasonably talented photographer – he is just an excellent guy. His talent speaks for itself on his website/blog/Instagram. He does not shoot in a typical canned shot list or “now let’s get the wedding party sticking out their tongues and jumping!” kind of way; his style is moody and striking, but also completely reflects the people and places he’s shooting. Our photos were so specifically US (just like, 1000x more attractive than real life!)

We picked Paul because his work is indisputably gorgeous – and when we met him for our engagement shoot, we felt so good about his vibe and the way he works that we trusted him implicitly to do his thing. He showed up on our wedding day and effortlessly fit in to the one million different dynamics at work – he was able to pinpoint what moments and which people were important and somehow captured them all. I honestly don’t know how he covered so much ground – he was a part of the party at times, but somehow also completely behind the scenes.

Paul told us that his work tells a story, and that’s SO true. Our photos are obviously stunning, but I can’t say enough about how it feels to look at them in order. Sounds cheesy, but I can’t lie – it’s really like reliving the entire experience. Nothing is posed (except for some badass portraits that shockingly make us look both cool and chill, which is no easy feat!) and the happiness is palpable.

I can’t find the link to our photos on his blog so, honestly, just look at anyone’s and hire Paul if you want Vogue-level photography and a lovely new friend. Thanks, pal!!

Paul fucking killed it. Master of light, contrast, and of being a genuine fantastic dude. He made our wedding day feel easy and elevated at the same time and I am now delighted to call him my friend.

If you’ve discovered Paul based on his stunning (seriously how do you do it?) photos, good on you, but what you probably missed is the experience he creates while working with his clients. On our wedding day, engagement shoot, and months leading up he curated an experience that led us to confidence, comfortability, and laughter. He hustles on every front and every detail.
