First call to make

In preparation for my son's wedding, one of my very first calls was to Pat Blackwell, owner of the Redcoat Ladies. I knew that in order to truly enjoy the day, we needed someone to ensure every detail was handled — and Pat and her team did exactly that.

From the moment we connected, they took charge with professionalism and care. Jenna began assisting several days before the wedding, making sure everything we needed made it to the venue. On the day of the event, she and her team were absolutely invaluable. Pat herself even showed up to lend an extra hand.

From set-up to supporting the bride and groom, their presence was seamless and reassuring. They coordinated flawlessly with all vendors — from the photographer and videographer to the band, the hotel caterer, and the venue staff. If anything went wrong, I had no idea — which is exactly how it should be!

Because of the Redcoat Ladies, I was able to be fully present and enjoy every moment of this once-in-a-lifetime day. Their goal was simple: to let us focus on the joy of the occasion while they handled everything else — and they succeeded beyond measure.

If you're planning a wedding, party, or Bar/Bat Mitzvah, your first call (after securing the date) should be to the Redcoat Ladies. Trust me — they are extraordinary, and they will ensure your event is as stress-free and joyful as possible.

Amazing to work with!

The Red Coat Ladies were amazing during our wedding planning process and the weekend of our wedding. My friends had used them for their weddings in Michigan so I knew they would be just what we were looking for! They came to Chicago and helped us at our rehearsal dinner, wedding and the morning of our brunch. My husband and I didn't have to worry or think about anything all weekend because they kept track of the timeline and our belongings. We definitely needed them to help make sure the weekend went smoothly. During the wedding planning process they helped us to think of questions to ask our vendors and completed our timeline. Would recommend them to anyone looking for "weekend of" or "day of" help!

You need the Red Coat Ladies

As a professional event planner myself, I’m just a little bit picky when it comes to working with other event professionals. I only wanted the best - and these ladies are it. They steamed dresses, helped me with my veil, coordinated other vendors, put on boutonnières, set up, cleaned up, you name it. I will never do another lifecycle event without them!

Pat Blackwell is an absolute legend!

My mom and I had been handling nearly all of the coordination and planning for our big day and truly thought we had it handled. Someone recommended we look into Party Assurance for a bit of extra support and we are so happy that we did - Pat had a massive list of questions & forms that reminded us of so many things we'd overlooked! She helped us form our timeline, and think about small details and logistics we would have otherwise ignored that made our day what it was.

Day of, Pat & team were absolutely amazing - from making sure every vendor was on top of their responsibilities and timeline to literally tying my wedding shoes on her lap, everything ran smoothly because of the Red Coat Ladies!! They even dropped off all of our leftover decorations, flowers, etc. at my Mom's house at 2am - sorry again Pat for giving you the wrong garage code!!

We cannot recommend the Red Coat Ladies/Party Assurance enough!!

Bravado!!!

Pat Blackwell and Jenna Beagan were absolutely perfect in helping with planning for my daughters wedding recently. Pat & Jenna were hands on the day of and helped to make the day much more enjoyable because they helped take the edge off.
I would recommend The Red Coat Ladies for any event you are planning.

Unreal help for a wedding at our house!

RED COAT LADIES are awesome! We recently hosted a wedding at our home and hired RCL to assist. Jenna showed up and instantly became everyone's friend. She was everywhere before, during, and after the ceremony - steaming dresses, putting on corsages, making sure groom and team were ready, taking care of elderly guests during dinner, chatting with everyone and ensuring all had a wonderful time. She even took time to take a few dozen tremendous photos for folks. Over the next few days, we had several guests ask: "Who was that wonderful person in the Red Coat?" If anyone asks me about RCL, I would start singing that Tina Turner song-"Simply the Best"!

I could not have had the magical wedding I had without Pat and her team. From start to finish she was professional, responsive, and accommodating. I had been planning my wedding by myself, and used her to coordinate it all together. She brought up things I would have missed, and made sure that EVERYTHING was taken care of. She was there through most of the event, helped me troubleshoot, and made excellent recommendations. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a day of coordinator.

The absolute best decision we made was to hire Pat Blackwell as our day of coordinator. Pat was fantastic to work with and her team really delivered the day of the wedding - I didn't have to worry about a thing and felt so great to leave things in their hands. I am a control freak so that says a lot! Pat is super organized, thoughtful, and responsive. She really helped us throughout the planning to organize our timeline and ceremony, to answer all sorts of random questions, and to ensure we had thought of everything. Her checklists were so helpful too - there are all kinds of little things you don't think about that end up being important on that day (i.e. - having bottled water and snacks for wedding party on site, bringing a duffel bag for the cards and gifts). She even delivered our centerpieces to the hotel for our brunch after the wedding. I highly recommend!!!

Pat and her assistants were awesome. they handled every last detail for us, and the wedding planning was easy and the wedding day was free of stress. pat is worth her weight in gold. do not plan a big wedding without her!
