Tim Coy from California DJs was absolutely amazing at our Aquarium wedding. He MCs everything, has a great way to get to know your personal music style, and just makes every event run smoothly. This last part is critical as you need fun and mature people at each event to recognize when other vendors might need help and to step in. Tim grabbed the mic and helped our photographers coordinate a mass staircase picture photo in a short time window. It wasn't part of his role there but he stepped up with his funny and friendly natural style and really got everyone motivated to work together to make this shot turn out great. His wife is also a great personality to have on the team and they plus their lighting/setup team work amazingly well to pull off your event. Nothing but talent and experience and delivers more than he promises at every turn. Awesome job Tim!!! We met Tim at my brother and sister-in-laws wedding a year ago. When it was time to hire a DJ for our wedding we knew we wanted Tim to be our guy. He is professional and very flexible with all of the date changes we had due to Covid. Although we did not have a traditional reception due to the Covid restrictions in California, Tim did provide all of the music for our ceremony and our first dance which took place immediately after the ceremony. He even found an “off the beaten path” song I wanted for our unity ceremony. A few weeks after our wedding we had a backyard reception for our family & friends that could not attend the ceremony. We hired one of Tim’s guys, Shawn to DJ our party. He did a great job as well. He was super fun and our party went 2 hours longer than we had expected and Shawn stayed and DJ’d the whole time.

Wow, Tim is awesome! We met him at our venue tasting and spent about 30 minutes talking about his experiences as a DJ and from that point on, I realized just how important the DJ is to the entire wedding and experience. They set the tone (figuratively and literally) for the entire event. They set the mood, they keep the time, they keep the vendors up to speed, they watch over the whole event and adjust accordingly. And then after and while they are doing all that, they play the tunes you make memories with. Tim did all of this for us and more for our ceremony and reception. His online planning tool, which is a lot of info and decisions to make, was an absolute blessing. I didn’t even realize half the decisions I needed to make about songs and timing until I worked with him on filling it out. He answered all our questions and gave us advice based on his experiences. We paid a little more than we budgeted for, but well worth it. Tim is awesome!

We booked Tim for uplighting and DJ services. He exceeded our expectations. Our wedding was at the Aquarium of the Pacific and vendors are given 1 hr to set everything up. He had everything done and was dressed wedding appropriate. He acted as a MC and kept the entire reception moving. We did a special first dance where we surprised our guests by fighting with light sabers and Tim was totally down for it. We gave him the music and a cue and he did the rest. It was so much fun and a surprise for the guests. I would highly recommend him for any event.

My partner and I coordinated an evening gala for our executives in the hills of Hacienda Heights recently, and Tim from Pacific Events was our DJ. He arrived early and we showed him where to set up. As the guests arrived he greeted them with a nice mix of music during the cocktail hour and throughout dinner. Afterwards he livened up the party and got everyone on the dance floor. I've hosted several corporate parties for our big wigs, and they never end up dancing. I was surprised how easily he engaged the crowd and got everyone to let their hair down. My partner and I were so busy making sure all the other vendors were doing what they were supposed to do, we left Tim work his craft. It goes without saying that Tim is an expert at what he does. He took little to no direction, and the evening went extremely smooth. I will definitely hire him again! 5 Stars all the way!

Pacific events entertainment, and Tim Could in particular just help us make our special day the most memorable day of our life on the Queen Mary. With a little under two hours to set up full lighting for a 350 person wedding including a massive star lighting on the ceiling of the grand salon, colored lighting on all the pilars and tables, a personalized insignia on the dance floor and so much more, Tim and his crew finished early and made the whole room look a billion times better than what we had imagined. Not only was the lighting amazing but Tims booming voice announcing our entrance as Mr. And Mrs. Alex Scheibe is something I will never forget. The music that was played was spot on the whole night, which isn't easy considering it was a mix between afghan dance music and new age 50's theme music. Tim met with us multiple times to get all of our music down and on their website you can go through and select all the music you love and hate including must play songs. It's like a Spotify for your wedding. Everyone raves about Tim the DJ and also owner of this wonderful entertainer group and asked us for his information to use him for their events. I could not imagine a more perfect company for lighting music and all entertainment needs. We will be using them for the rest of our events including my companies events. If you need a great entertainment group for your wedding and are worried about anything, put your mind at ease and go with Pacific Entertainment Group because you will worry about nothing and receive everything you ask for and more, and not to mention a breathtaking wedding.

Okay so we hired Tim to DJ and do lightning for our ceremony at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, a venue that he said he was very experienced with...

....and boy was he right! We changed from a DJ set list to a LIVE BAND with a lightshow and ridiculousness about 2 weeks before the ceremony. He coordinated with them for all of it and kept my work to nearly zero. The venue was lit beautifully - completely different feel to it than when I had visited during business hours. We used his fantastic and easy web interface for song selection for our cocktail hour - AND gave him super weird curveball custom tracks for our ceremony songs. I think I linked him a youtube video and said "so do this part from timestamp 1:10 to timestamp 2:40" or something absolutely insane like that. And he did it all! Was great for guiding traffic during the ceremony and keeping things moving along. I was super impressed with his ability to pull it all off, especially since we were not the easiest clients. Would definitely use again and recommend to others.

DJ Tim was probably the best decision we made for our wedding. He worked with us on cost and was extremely reasonable. We had a few special requests that required some research on his part and he came back with some great stuff! He made the Aquarium look beautiful with the lighting and made the event run so smoothly. He and all of his staff were so professional and nice. We would definitely recommend DJ Tim and Pacific Events to anyone for any event.

We were referred to DJ Tim by our wedding coordinator since he has worked at our venue (Aquarium of the Pacific) several times before. Now, the Aquarium of the Pacific is a very special venue because as a vendor, you only have one hour from the closing of the Aquarium to the public and the start of your reception.

Pacific Events has an online form where you can specify what kind of music you want for cocktail hour, dinner and must-have songs for the dance floor. It was super easy to use and there wasn't a song I wanted that I couldn't find. For cocktail hour, I put "Music like: Stevie Wonder, the Temptations, etc." and DJ Tim was able to put together a playlist that was exactly what I wanted. He was also able to create a great playlist for dinner when I said "90s slow jams like Usher." My guests loved all of the songs and I took all of the credit, haha!

Tim was a great emcee and DJ. He has a great voice and was able to keep our program on time. He was also flexible when we needed to make last minute changes and very great with making announcements.

And OH MY GOD! The uplifting looked so great! My guests said, "I didn't know that the Aquarium could look like this!"
