About this venue
Located in Destrehan, Louisiana, Ormond Manor Restaurant is a venue, welcoming ceremonies and receptions, rehearsals and dinners, showers, bridal luncheons, and special occasions. An intimate elopement or a grand gala, we welcome the union of love at Ormond Manor. Ormond is conveniently located just minutes away from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and a short 25-minute drive from downtown New Orleans. The manor house was first built shortly before 1790 and has been extensively remodeled over the years. The main house is flanked by the newer addition of garconnieres, or wings, located on either side. The property is currently owned by a a wonderful life-long St. Charles Parish family.
Facilities and Capacity
Ormond can accommodate celebrations of up to 300 guests and has a range of spaces across the Manor, including the Carriage House, and the Grand Ballroom. The entrance to the estate is shadowed by the stately oaks that line the drive and grounds. Couples can say their vows in the courtyard or under these majestic oaks in various locations on the grounds, then dance the night away in the ballroom. There are five guest suites available in the venue’s bed and breakfast for those who wish to stay overnight. Ceremonies held here grant the couple access to a quaint, complimentary room for pre-wedding preparations, as well as space for a rehearsal. The house can be made available for wedding portraits and photos.
Services Offered
Our staff can assist the couple in their preparations for their special day. Our all-inclusive packages are a highlight at Ormond. Also, our Executive Chef is happy to customize menus for weddings held at the estate to help facilitate any preferences the couple or their guests may have. A bridal attendant is included to assist the bride and her family with the rehearsal, the ceremony, and the flow of the reception. The most comprehensive package grants the couple an overnight stay in the honeymoon suite, as well as an extensive range of dining options. Each package includes the following features as standard:
- Complimentary room for the bride to dress
- Wedding cake allowance
- Tables and Chiavari chairs
- Centerpieces on table
- Uniformed wait staff
- Tableware and linens
- Full access to grounds for photography
