Southern Oaks

Southern Oaks is a stunning mansion wedding venue located in New Orleans, Louisiana, nine miles northeast of the French Quarter. It's just 19 miles from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, and close to numerous attractions such as museums, aquariums, and parks. Hosting weddings since 1987, owners Bobby and Sue Asaro pride themselves on the impeccable customer service that has made their venue a success.

Facilities and Capacity
Southern Oaks can host up to 400 guests for ceremonies and receptions, providing exclusive access to the entire estate. Couples can hold their ceremonies on the front lawn under beautiful live oaks covered with Spanish moss. Receptions can be held in the bright and airy ballroom, which features light wood floors and crystal chandeliers. There is also a private bar that the wedding party can use.

Services Offered
The professional event coordinator works closely with couples to ensure that the event is personalized to their liking and that no small detail is overlooked. The venue can provide Chiavari chairs, tables, linens, china, and glassware, as well as décor items such as candlelit centerpieces. They can also help with entertainment, offering a sound system and a DJ along with a wireless microphone for officiants. The reception package can include an open bar with house beer, liquor, wine, and signature drinks. Southern Oaks can even provide special enhancements such as a fireworks display, a horse-drawn carriage, or a New Orleans jazz band.
