This venue is perfectly adaptable to all weather issues you might imagine. It dropped 30 degrees and poured on my wedding day and still it was gorgeous. The venue allows for incredible flexibility and even though we had planned everything outside, the venue allows crazy awesome indoor options even at a moments notice. I cannot describe how beautiful the day was at Oldfield. It was amazing staying onsite at the rental houses. We married inside the River Club, ate on the River Club Porch, and had our live band in the Outfitters. Not what we initially thought we would do, but honestly it was even better than we planned!

Guests at our wedding could not stop raving about the venue! Everything is so pretty, and the food is amazing. They were very flexible and easy to work with.

Don’t even look any further!! Oldfield was everything I ever dreamed of and more. The venue is absolutely stunning!
We were married March 10th with right around 130 guests. Every single day since the wedding we get calls or texts about how perfect everything was. The food – OMG the food!! It was delicious!! All of our guests raved about everything from the food to the venue.

The girls rented Dogwood – right next to the River Club. The fellas rented a golf cottage. Others rented lock-off suites from other cottages. What a treat that was…they are gorgeous with Spanish moss coming down off the oak trees with water views from most rooms. Every room had a screened in porch. We got ready at the homes and it couldn’t have worked out better.

Now let’s talk about Danielle…I can’t even put into words how fantastic she was to work with. I felt like I left with a best friend. She is just that good!! We retained her to be our day of person and it was definitely the best money we spent. She is a Rockstar!!!!

The wedding was like an article out of Southern Living Magazine. Everything was so beautiful and perfect. You will be disappointed if you don’t choose to have your wedding here!!

Oldfield hosted my dream wedding two weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. The River Club was the perfect location, and Danielle was a pleasure to work with. She was responsive, accommodating, and professional. Our wedding party loved staying in the cottages next door, and they were the perfect place to spend time with our friends leading up to the wedding. I would highly recommend Oldfield and wish we could get married there again!

We LOVED Oldfield for our wedding. We chose to have our ceremony in front of the River Club and rented a clear tent for the back side of the club, along the river. We had a harvest moon, and with the lights in the tent, the sky was beyond gorgeous. We couldn't have chosen a more beautiful, southern, peaceful, private, and romantic venue. We had 84 guests, almost everyone flew in for the occasion as my husband and I live in Chicago, and everyone was stunned by the beauty. The service was impeccable. Our guests have raved that Oldfield served the best wedding food they have ever had. I'm partial, of course, but the food was amazing. The chef worked with us to create a few special items, but we pretty much ordered from the catering guide. It was better than we could have expected. We had a full service wedding planner, but we still had the pleasure of working with Danielle, who is just amazing. She responds to emails within minutes (during work hours). Everyone at Oldfield worked very hard to ensure our wedding day was seamless and one to remember, we can't thank them enough! Also, a bonus is staying at the beautiful cottages before and after the wedding. My husband and were able to walk 50 feet to our cottage after saying goodnight to our guests, which was such a treat because we were exhausted! My husband and I can't wait to go back for our anniversary!

Oldfield Club is absolutely gorgeous, hopelessly romantic, and the natural beauty was an amazing backdrop to our unforgettable wedding weekend. Working with Danielle at Oldfield made the whole experience so enjoyable, she offered great suggestions, was responsive to all my questions and the day of the wedding made the bridal party and all our guests feel like VIP. It was the little things that they were prepared for that made all the difference - such as having a fan ready to go for me when I came in from the scorching heat after taking photos, servers ready to serve the bridal party drinks and appetizers immediately following the ceremony and a personal server just for me to help throughout the evening. We also really enjoyed working with the Chef, he meticulously made each dish to perfection and our guests raved that it was the best food they'd ever had. Oldfield was the perfect venue for our wedding weekend from the service to the food. Thank you Danielle and the entire Oldfield staff for making our wedding weekend an incredible experience!

Advice for couples wanting to book this venue would be to know going in that Oldfield is going to take care of your every need. Although it can add up very quickly, it is so well worth it knowing that the food will be delicious, venue breathtaking and the customer service outstanding.

I cannot say enough great things about Oldfield and especially Danielle! From start to finish, Oldfield and Danielle have exceeded my expectations. Adam and I fell in love with Oldfield the moment we drove onto the property. It truly gives you that "low country", out of a Nicholas Sparks movie (lol) feel! When we first visited we had the pleasure of meeting Danielle. She is the sweetest! She was very informative and answered all of our questions. She continued to do so via email and phone. She was a large part of why we chose Oldfield was our wedding venue. Its great to have a lovely venue but if you don't have an awesome event coordinator to go along with it, it could make or break it! Well, Danielle sealed the deal! We chose to have her as our day of coordinator. If you choose Oldfield as your venue, HIRE DANIELLE AS YOUR DAY OF COORDINATOR!!! She went above and beyond our expectations and made sure that every detail was attended too. They always say that at least one thing goes wrong on your wedding day and I didn't know that something had until after we got back from our honeymoon because of Danielle. We had an incident with our DJ/ lighting vendor. My mom said that Danielle handled the situation perfectly! I am glad that I didn't know about it until after because that was something I didn't need to stress out about! Thanks Danielle! :) I could go on and on about how lovely Oldfield and Danielle is but I'm not sure if I'd have enough room! The staff at Oldfield were the sweetest. They always made sure that Adam and I as well as our guests were enjoying ourselves and had what we needed. I wish I could relive that day over and over again. Thank you Oldfield and Danielle for making the best day of my life even better!!!

There are not enough words to express my love for Oldfield. My husband and I had our reception at the River Club and it was all that I dreamed of and more. We were looking for a classic Southern plantation style venue and we certainly found that with Oldfield.

Not only are the grounds STUNNING and private to your wedding, but the food is delicious, the staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is super welcoming.

And then there is Danielle, Oldfield's Director of Events. She is BY FAR the best part about Oldfield. As soon as I chatted with her on the phone, I knew I wanted to book the venue. She was super fast at responding to all of my emails (and there were a lot), she had never ending energy and was beyond thoughtful on every element of my wedding. Even on my actual wedding day when the temperamental weather changed some of our plans, she was so flexible and accommodating. She truly went above and beyond in every aspect to make sure we had the wedding of our dreams.

Oldfield exceeded our expectations in every way. If you are looking for a beautiful venue with great service - this is your place!!

Everything about Oldfield met my "Must Have" list and even exceeded my expectations! I wanted a beautiful place in the low country on the river/marsh/estuary that had a plantation "feel" to it, but with a reasonable price. The second we met with Danielle, the event coordinator at Oldfield, I knew we had found our venue for ceremony & reception! She was so friendly that day! She walked us around the properties available for our date, answered a TON of super detailed questions from my mother, and was able to answer every question thoroughly with a smile!
We ended up enlisting as much of our wedding as we possibly could with Oldfield! Ceremony, Reception, Catering, Beverages, Day-Of Co-Ordination, and Lodging! Even some family is staying on property in the rental cottages!
As an out-of-town bride, Danielle was BEYOND AMAZING in making recommendations for vendors who are knowledgeable about the property. It also helped that she personally was getting married at Oldfield in a few months and was able to tell us in her honest opinion, based on our budget priorities, who would be a good top 3 to contact for quotes. She takes all of the worry of planning an out-of-town wedding away (or at least minimizes it! :P)
You will not regret going with Oldfield! It is simply a lowcountry dream come true!
