The event coordinator, Jory went above and beyond for us! She gave great recommendations and was extremely helpful and was patient and friendly through the entire process. The food was outstanding! Chef Shawn created a custom menu for us and executed it perfectly. People are still talking about how good it was. I cannot say enough great things about this venue. It was literally perfect!

Dataw Island is beautiful! We got married in front of the Grand Oak Tree, which was just so picturesque even from unprofessional cameras! Abby, the event coordinator, was just a perfect gem. She made sure everything went smoothly, made sure the Bridal & Grooms party ate the day of, & made they day absolutely perfect! She helped us through the whole planning process & was very thorough when it came to day of details. Our wedding day was so much more than we could have ever dreamed of & we are so thankful to Dataw Island for hosting us!

There are so many great things to say about Palmetto Hall. Tiffany, the Catering & Sales Manager, was a dream to work with and plan our event. Honestly, she is the reason why we chose Palmetto Hall in the first place. The location is gorgeous and the beautiful southern-style clubhouse gives you numerous options for ceremony and/or reception set up. But we were most impressed with Tiffany’s organization, flexibility, idea suggestions and warm personality. She walked us through the entire planning process, and even helped recommend vendors on the island since we were out-of-towners. We were always given first class treatment and as I met other employees (Anne, Mr. Gore, etc.), I continued to feel blessed to have chosen Palmetto Hall. The grounds are always well maintained and the facilities are beautiful! Our tasting was lovely & they have an expansive menu that gave us many choices and the opportunity to totally personalize our dinner. Our wedding ceremony and reception were perfect! We have received so many compliments on the food, set-up and bar/wait staff hospitality. I felt so supported and taken care of on my big day – I didn’t have to worry about a thing! This is a beautiful, warm and organized venue that I would call “the total package”!

Moss Creek was AMAZING! I couldn't imagine a better place to get married. Jim and his staff were outstanding! They went above and beyond during the whole process and met all of our specifications to a "T". Jim was very easy to work with and even added in his own creativity to enhance the elegance of the night. (They accommodated cornhole outside during the cocktail hour and made mini palm trees out of pineapples! So cute!) Our guests complimented not only the food, but also the atmosphere and very friendly staff. Throughout the night they were attentive to our guests (very good at addressing guests by name) and made a few game-day decisions to make the reception so much more enjoyable. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a great wedding reception. Excellent shrimp grilled cheese :-)

Hampton Hall Club is a private golf community, where my parents are members. I have been dining at the Clubhouse since 2008, and I simply couldn’t imagine my wedding reception not being held there. EXCELLENT.

If you are looking for a venue in the lowcountry, stop your search and book Belfair. The Belfair team was kind and helpful from the start of the planning process. The venue offers incredible natural beauty, and the services provided onsite created a seamless planning process. Catering, beverages, tables and chairs, linen, silverware, glasses and dishes are all offered by the venue, allowing us to skip working with a separate rental company. Alyssa was a mastermind helping me work through details throughout the planning process and providing incredible day-of support and coordination. After researching and touring several locations in the area, there was just no comparison to the stunning setting, level of service and price offered at Belfair.

The Country Club of Hilton Head was perfect for my February wedding. The weather was beautiful which only enhanced the already beautiful venue. My ceremony was outside where the view was gorgeous. Guests sat behind the empty driving range and the greenery around the venue was perfect. The ceremony space had a grand staircase entrance which was perfect. The venue had a microphone and speaker for the officiant and organized entrance timing. Staff was supportive in keeping us on time, making sure the ceremony ran smoothly. Throughout the year prior to my wedding there was a lot of communication between me and my contact at the venue. While there were time where responses were limited or delayed, it was clear that my wedding was important to them and my questions were always answered. I would suggest being very clear with selections in terms of food and drinks. There were a few things that were missed but staff was quick to adjust and were accommodating. The most repeated comment I hear throughout the night was how great the food was. All of my guests commented on how delicious the food was. I had picked the venue's bruschetta, baked brie, and fruit for cocktail hour and the low country BBQ, shrimp and grits bar, and mashed potato bar for dinner. The stand out menu options were the baked brie and the mashed potato bar. I repeatedly had guests coming up to me and saying how good those options were. The standout to me as well as many gests were the shrimp and grits. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at the County Club of Hilton Head and wouldn't change a thing if I had to do it over. The staff was amazing, the venue beautiful even in February, and food perfect.

WOW! I don't have the words to express how amazing our entire wedding experience with Haig Point was. From the first inquiry email I sent in November 2021 to our dream wedding August 21, 2022, Courtney and the entire team at Haig point has been nothing short of phenomenal. Planning a wedding on an island with a ferry and golf cart transportation can be a little tricky and requires a few extra steps, but they made it seamless. You can tell they do a lot of events and seem to have it down to a science. I received prompt responses with every question and request. Their recommend vendor list was spot on. The pricing was fair and completely transparent. Every detail of the weekend was organized with precision and honestly went off without a hitch. Our wedding was small and intimate, with 30 of our closest friends and family staying on the island from Friday-Monday in the Strachan Mansion and nearby rental homes. It was everyone's first time to Daufuskie, and every single one of our guests has already talked about when we can plan another trip back. We've been told countless times that it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to. Beyond the gorgeous views, low-key laid back island lifestyle, delicious food, and great amenities(golf, beachfront pool, bar, etc) what really made it special for us was that it we were able to host a luxury destination wedding without the normal hassles of a "destination wedding". The Haig Point team, from the front desk staff, to bartenders (Loxley!), to our incredible event coordinator Courtney and her partner Alexandra, every single person politely, patiently, and proactively made the weekend absolutely perfect in every single way. No ask was too big or small. Food and alcohol options were very important to us and they offer a wide variety of high-quality alcohol as well as menu options. Food at both the Calibogue Club and the Haig Point golf club were outstanding and really exceeded our expectations. Even with unpredictable things like rain during the outdoor ceremony and then a "small"(BIG) storm temporarily knocked out the power during the reception, the whole team handled everything with professionalism and turned what could have been stressful issues into no big deal. As the bride and groom, we were able to relax and enjoy the weekend which in hindsight is a rarity when it comes to your own wedding! Without hesitation, we would book a future event here, re-do our wedding here, re-new our vows here. We already can't wait to go back. I really can't think of a single thing that we would change about our wedding on Daufuskie and cannot recommend Haig Point highly enough!
