This venue is perfectly adaptable to all weather issues you might imagine. It dropped 30 degrees and poured on my wedding day and still it was gorgeous. The venue allows for incredible flexibility and even though we had planned everything outside, the venue allows crazy awesome indoor options even at a moments notice. I cannot describe how beautiful the day was at Oldfield. It was amazing staying onsite at the rental houses. We married inside the River Club, ate on the River Club Porch, and had our live band in the Outfitters. Not what we initially thought we would do, but honestly it was even better than we planned! -

Guests at our wedding could not stop raving about the venue! Everything is so pretty, and the food is amazing. They were very flexible and easy to work with. -

Talley Sent on 03/23/2018Don’t even look any further!! Oldfield was everything I ever dreamed of and more. The venue is absolutely stunning!
We were married March 10th with right around 130 guests. Every single day since the wedding we get calls or texts about how perfect everything was. The food – OMG the food!! It was delicious!! All of our guests raved about everything from the food to the venue.
The girls rented Dogwood – right next to the River Club. The fellas rented a golf cottage. Others rented lock-off suites from other cottages. What a treat that was…they are gorgeous with Spanish moss coming down off the oak trees with water views from most rooms. Every room had a screened in porch. We got ready at the homes and it couldn’t have worked out better.
Now let’s talk about Danielle…I can’t even put into words how fantastic she was to work with. I felt like I left with a best friend. She is just that good!! We retained her to be our day of person and it was definitely the best money we spent. She is a Rockstar!!!!
The wedding was like an article out of Southern Living Magazine. Everything was so beautiful and perfect. You will be disappointed if you don’t choose to have your wedding here!!

Allison Sent on 05/11/2016I cannot say enough great things about Oldfield and especially Danielle! From start to finish, Oldfield and Danielle have exceeded my expectations. Adam and I fell in love with Oldfield the moment we drove onto the property. It truly gives you that "low country", out of a Nicholas Sparks movie (lol) feel! When we first visited we had the pleasure of meeting Danielle. She is the sweetest! She was very informative and answered all of our questions. She continued to do so via email and phone. She was a large part of why we chose Oldfield was our wedding venue. Its great to have a lovely venue but if you don't have an awesome event coordinator to go along with it, it could make or break it! Well, Danielle sealed the deal! We chose to have her as our day of coordinator. If you choose Oldfield as your venue, HIRE DANIELLE AS YOUR DAY OF COORDINATOR!!! She went above and beyond our expectations and made sure that every detail was attended too. They always say that at least one thing goes wrong on your wedding day and I didn't know that something had until after we got back from our honeymoon because of Danielle. We had an incident with our DJ/ lighting vendor. My mom said that Danielle handled the situation perfectly! I am glad that I didn't know about it until after because that was something I didn't need to stress out about! Thanks Danielle! :) I could go on and on about how lovely Oldfield and Danielle is but I'm not sure if I'd have enough room! The staff at Oldfield were the sweetest. They always made sure that Adam and I as well as our guests were enjoying ourselves and had what we needed. I wish I could relive that day over and over again. Thank you Oldfield and Danielle for making the best day of my life even better!!! -
User2434111 Sent on 11/19/2015If you are looking for laid back, southern charm with a little class--I would recommend Oldfield as the place to have the Wedding of your dreams. We got married on the lawn of the River House facing the water--the view is amazing and we got so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was. Our reception was at the Outfitter center --which is a cute screened in back porch on the water with fire pits and a deck with wrap around seating and rockers surrounded by a lot of docks for everyone to walk down and look at the beautiful views. I'm not sure where to even start on how great everything was--but the real reason our wedding day and reception was so great and stress free is because of Danielle. She is the Coordinator for Oldfield--and she is awesome at what she does. She takes care of everything and really makes the day go as smooth and stress free as possible. For our reception we had mingling stations for dinner--there was a chicken and waffles station, Risotto station (guest favorite), Beef tenderloin carving station (also a guest favorite), and a macaroni and cheese bar. All of our guest said the food was Amazing--and we thought so too. The staff was amazing!!!! They got our plates (Bride and groom) ready for us--so that we could continue to mingle with the guests for as long as possible. The entire staff was really attentive and we have not one complaint on how well they took care of our guests and us. Also, I recommend staying in one of the cottages or the houses. It makes getting to and from the wedding/reception so much easier--and they are very reasonably priced. Overall--every person we have talked to that attended our wedding--has said they had the best time ever and it was the best wedding they have ever been too!! -

She understood everything I wanted and I felt relaxed knowing she would take care of it. The whole day went extremely smooth with no issues and the setup was perfect!! We received so many compliments about how beautiful Oldfield and the Outfitters Center was. It is the perfect location for a low country wedding which is exactly what we wanted! Thank you so much for making our day magical!! -

Jessica Sent on 05/31/2014Oldfield was the PERFECT setting for our May wedding, and we absolutely could not have been happier. Danielle is a dream to work with, and one of the big reasons we booked in the first place, as I immediately appreciated her responsiveness, professionalism, and willingness to accommodate most any request (I'm a venue coordinator myself). She was consistently helpful and patient through our entire long distance planning process, and was more than willing to meet with our planner and other family members as they assisted us. The community itself is jaw-droppingly beautiful, and our guests could not stop gushing about what an amazing venue it was. It had exactly the right vibe for our celebration: elegant but not fussy, laid back but not too casual. We hosted our ceremony on the River Club lawn with the clubhouse as our backdrop, and our family-style dinner in the Outfitter's Center. Being on the river was great, and my husband kept saying all night that it was so perfect (music to my ears!). He especially enjoyed the boat send-off at the end of the night. The food was one of the most important things for us, and we were not disappointed. Everyone said it was some of the best food they'd ever eaten, especially at a wedding. Again, upscale and elegant without being fussy. The service was also top notch, friendly and attentive. We were really made to feel like family. All in all, Oldfield is an amazing venue and an amazing value. I would recommend it to anyone! -

The facilities were gorgeous and we loved everything about the River House and Outfitters Club (which we used for the rehearsal dinner.) We had a buffet style dinner that was really out of this world!!! Great value for the price!!! Seriously, the food was fantastic and our guests raved about it! Preceding the wedding, it was often times tough to get ahold of the event planning staff. I was fortunate enough to have a wedding planner who did most of the back-and-forth, however emails were not always answered promptly. Biggest snafu of the weekend is that one of the houses my family booked to rent for the weekend had somehow not been booked properly... and they did not find out until days before the wedding that nothing was available for them. After some rearranging, Oldfield was able to provide accommodations, however they had to split up- and it was less than ideal. Needless to say, they were disappointed- and nothing was done to compensate this mix-up. Aside from that incident, were pleased overall with the service, especially from the food and beverage staff! -
User2180323 Sent on 06/15/2015Overall, we loved Oldfield. We recently moved from up North & wanted a venue that would show our guests why we loved the low country so much; OF is it! The only issues we had were with coordination of our event. Many of the things we were told during the planning process ended up not being the way it really was. Only few examples....we were told we could set aside a certain amount of $ for the open bar & the coordinator could let us know when we got close to our budget night of; not true. We didn't find this out until the final walk through. We were also told we could set up the venue Friday night (day before) and that was changed to Saturday at 8 (at final walk through). When we went to set up, there was an event taking place at our reception site until 12 noon (on the day of our wedding!) and no one told us. Our dance floor was moved without notice--so our grand entrance was a little awkward bc we didn't know where to go. The candles we brought for decor--no one even tried to keep them lit. We ordered fans from amazing rentals & when asked if we could bring them out to the dance floor, the bartenders placed the fans on themselves. We have also heard from some of our guest and two of our vendors, the coordinator was very rude to them. She also left at 830pm (which was planned)--our grand exit had to be coordinated by our photographer (was supposed to be set up b/t coordinator & DJ)....these are only a few of the things that happened. It was mostly behind the scenes problems but we paid the coordinator an extra fee to handle these situations. OF venue itself is amazing; just wish our coordinator would have communicated with us a little more effectively so our big day would have been a little less stressful.
