Port Royal Club House - Hilton Head Island Weddings

My husband and I got married at Port Royal in Hilton Head 12/06/2025. I remember being so torn on choosing a venue before we officially decided to choose Port Royal and I literally think other than marrying my husband, it was the best decision I have ever made! From the initial meeting with Sydney to tour the venue through the end of the wedding weekend, she was so kind, down to earth, responsive, knowledgeable, and professional. When we would meet with her, it felt like talking to a good friend who truly wanted the best for me on our wedding day. She also has a LOVELY assistant Bianca who I can say all of the same about. We had 100% rain on our wedding day, and I was just so devastated leading up to the wedding because I had dreamt all year for it to be on the putting green and the lawn, but I think it was also supposed to play out this way. Sydney knew exactly what I had envisioned and turned the patio into the most magical and warm place and more beautiful than I ever could've imagined. Despite the rain, we had plenty of space for 110 people on the patio/front dining room. We also had plenty of places for photo opportunity that were covered. It rained for days and my dress was nearly in perfect condition because a lot of areas for photos are covered. I received comments from guests about how kind the staff was. We had our rehearsal dinner here as well the night before and I definitely recommend that as well. The food is incredible. We had a pasta bar for the wedding made fresh to order, and for the rehearsal I got to choose my favorite meal and the chef made that happen. You would be extremely wise to choose Port Royal as your venue. I would say the price is fair. We were between one other venue and Port Royal and Port Royal was significantly more affordable but I think the level of service, professionalism, and delivery that we experienced was worth far greater than what we paid - just truly exceptional and I can't say enough. Thank you Sydney, Bianca, Jean for helping us organize golf throughout the week/weekend, and all of the Port Royal staff for the best weekend of our lives.

As the mother of the bride, I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect venue than Port Royal Golf & Racquet Club at Hilton Head Island for my daughter’s wedding. Every space throughout the day felt magical — from the putting green ceremony with its breathtaking backdrop, to a relaxed and elegant cocktail hour, to the stunning dinner reception and lively dancing that carried us into the night.

The food was simply exceptional and far exceeded typical “wedding food.” Guests are still raving that it was the best they’ve ever had at a wedding. The filet of beef, salmon, and chicken entrées were cooked to perfection, the shrimp and grits appetizers and mac and cheese bites were huge hits, and the late-night pretzels with beer cheese were such a fun (and delicious!) touch. The fact that it was a true sit-down dinner with each course beautifully plated and even the cake served individually to each guest made the experience feel especially thoughtful and elevated.

The venue itself looked gorgeous, with linens and décor that were absolutely beautiful, but what truly made the day flawless was the team. Sydney, the coordinator, was nothing short of amazing. She handled everything with grace and precision, even orchestrating a last-minute move of the ceremony from indoors to outdoors when the rain stopped — making my daughter’s dream of being married on the putting green a reality. The staff executed every detail seamlessly, creating a day that was joyful, stress-free, and unforgettable.

As a mother, seeing my daughter’s dream wedding come to life so beautifully was incredibly special. This venue delivered on every level — atmosphere, food, service, and execution. I can’t recommend Port Royal Golf & Racquet Club highly enough!

We go to Hilton Head a few times a year and wanted to show our wedding guests the quiet, natural beauty of the island. Port Royal Golf Club was the private, welcoming setting we were looking for. The value was better than many other venues on the island and it was a perfect canvas to make our wedding vision come to life.

Sydney and the entire Port Royal team were attentive, kind, and helpful from the start. We booked the venue about 16 months before our wedding and Sydney made the process relaxed and comfortable when we later determined the details of the day. The food was all delicious with good size portions to satiate our guests. We loved picking signature cocktail options, too! The service was prompt and organized. We were blessed with perfect weather on June 1 and we all had a joyful and unforgettable time.

If you are looking for a private, cozy time with loved ones, I would highly recommend Port Royal as your wedding venue.

We got married at Port Royal on the putting green and had our reception in the clubhouse. The entire experience was seamless, and we had a PERFECT weekend thanks to Sydney, Rob, and the entire staff at Port Royal!! Sydney is so cool calm and collected, and has great attention to details. We also got married in the midst of a hurricane so we had to make multiple back-up plans around the weather. We loved every minute of planning our wedding, and the ceremony and reception were perfect. Our guests are still raving about the food and the bartenders! 10/10 recommend!

Sydney, co-ordinator, helped to make our entire event seamless and special. She was hands on at the event to make sure the staff was doing ok, and to assist with flow of the party.

Our daughter wanted a destination wedding and we settled on Hilton Head for many reasons, but mostly because it has been a vacation landing for our family for most of her life. We decided on Port Royal Golf Club as the venue. We could not have made a better decision. Sydney Segars and her staff did a wonderful job. She had the rooms set up for both the bride and groom for them to get ready. Her actual wedding was held at Steam Gun Park. Our wedding party and guests were seamlessly shuttled to and from the park efficiently and with no issues. After pictures at the beach the bride and groom had a room to refresh before joining our guest in the reception area, including appetizers and cocktails. We had a made to order pasta bar, that I was concerned with, much to my surprise the two chefs executed quickly and efficiently. And the food was outstanding, from the appetizers to the pasta bar everything was perfectly presented and served. As the evening unfolded Sydney’s staff kept the event on point and seamless. I would highly recommend using Royal Golf Club as the venue for your next event. Sydney and her staff are attentive, courteous, friendly and easy to work with.

Nothing but great things to say about Port Royal and our wedding here. We worked with Sydney who responded quickly to emails and made our dream wedding a reality. The food was excellent and they were very understanding of our guests with food allergies and made sure everyone was well taken care of. Steam Gun Beach was an absolute dream location to get married and the golf club was the perfect reception place. Highly recommend!!

Sydney Segars, the event manager was professional, organized, enthusiastic, and so much FUN!! Port Royal was a stunning venue , the staff was incredible, the food amazing… all of which provided for the most magical wedding reception! Not a single detail was missed, and as the MOB, I got to relax and enjoy the entire evening!
If you are looking for a stunningly beautiful wedding venue… Look no further! Port Royal Club was fabulous!!!

Sydney, the Event Coordinator for Port Royal Club was a dream to work with. Incredibly helpful, responsive and thoughtful. The space is very flexible and we had an 11 piece band and dance floor out on the patio and overlooking the lovely gardens. Great venue for photographs and making special memories.

What an amazing and stressless wedding from start to finish! From visiting the venue initially to scheduling tastings and week of walk throughs Samantha Clark and the Port Royal staff made the planning and day of events stressless. The Club House is the perfect inside/outside reception feel, with a grand inside foyer and elegantly decorated dinning area. The covered patio attached to the inside dinning area allowed for our guest tables to flow outside without feeling cut off from the inside tables. The outside fire place and grand outside staircase allowed for a special addition for guests to enjoy and perfect photo backdrops. Couldn't have found a better place to celebrate with family and friends!
