The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa is an oceanfront wedding venue on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, offering newly-renovated guest rooms and suites with private balconies, five restaurants and bars, a full-service spa, three oceanfront pools, and stunning event spaces for both intimate and large wedding ceremonies and receptions.
Facilities and Capacity
This venue offers an array of stunning event spaces, many with ocean views.
The Grand Ocean Terrace is a 5,000-square-foot, climate-controlled space featuring elegant coastal accents and spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean. It has sliding-glass doors opening onto a full balcony overlooking the ocean, a stone patio with a fireplace, and convenient restrooms and a bridal suite.
The 13,200-square-foot Grand Ballroom is suited for large wedding celebrations and can accommodate up to 600 guests. Mitchellville is a private indoor space with views of the resort courtyard and the Atlantic Ocean, ideal for small, intimate weddings, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, or wedding brunches.
The Oceanfront Deck, located just steps away from the sand, is perfect for wedding ceremonies and outdoor cocktail receptions for groups of 50 to 250.
If barefoot in the sand is your wedding style, consider a beach ceremony on the pristine beaches of Hilton Head Island, followed by a cocktail hour and reception in one of our elegant venues.

Best Day of My Life
I saw the Westin's Grand Ocean terrace online when researching wedding reception venues in HHI, and I immediately fell in love! It was my dream wedding location and the most beautiful venue I'd seen.
We had our rehearsal dinner and welcome party in the Mitchelville Gazebo room which has an outdoor deck with views of the resort for guests that wanted to get some fresh air. The cocktail hour was on the Oceanfront deck which is surrounded by tall palm trees and a direct view of the ocean, and our reception was in the Grand Ocean Terrace which has huge, floor-to-ceiling windows facing the Ocean that can be opened to allow the ocean breeze inside.
The Westin was so accommodating and very responsive. The staff members were so patient with our many questions and numerous emails back and forth. They were willing to customize anything for us, from the drink menu to the main dishes served.
And not only was the venue PERFECT, but the FOOD was just as amazing! I had so many guests raving about the food--from the appetizers, to the main dish, to the dessert and even to the late night chicken fingers and tots! Everything was perfect! I wish I could do it all over again!

My Bride to Wifey Night
I stayed the weekend of my wedding in the Atlantic suite at the Westin. I have only positive things to say - the room was so magical getting ready in and not mention the photos looked amazing with the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the ocean. The suite was conveniently located next to all the amenities. The suite had a king bed, full kitchen and living room for all my girls to get ready in. I can’t thank the Westin enough for contributing to the best weekend of my life. Big shout out to Astrid Barth for making sure everything was special and perfect!

Beautiful Wedding Venue! Highly Recommend
The Westin is the perfect wedding venue on Hilton Head. We loved having cocktail hour on the Oceanfront deck and the reception in the Grand Ocean Terrace - our guests keep talking about how memorable the venue was. We were also very happy with the food - the chefs worked with us on our menu as we wanted to incorporate some Jamaican dishes for our families and it turned out delicious. The team (especially our event planner Marianna) at the Westin was wonderful and responsive and wanted to ensure that we had the most perfect day. We had a great experience at the Westin and highly recommend the venue for your wedding!

Beautiful farewell brunch!
We had our wedding farewell brunch in the Ocean Terrace room at the Westin and it was beautiful. Marianna from the Westin team was prompt and great to work with as we planned our brunch spread. I was able to customize the menu to exactly what we were looking for! The French toast addition to the buffet was a fan favorite, as was the omelet station.
The guests loved the food and the amazing ocean front views. The staff working the morning of the brunch were kind, patient, and helpful. Overall it was a lovely ending to our perfect wedding weekend.

A DREAM of a Venue
The Westin has it all - the dreamiest venue you can ask for in the low country.
The Grand Ocean Terrace is absolutely the most beautiful room for a reception and the Oceanfront Deck is the perfect coastal wedding venue without being too beachy (for a bride who didn't want sand in her toes).
Sonja was our coordinator and she did an incredible job of providing top quality service with class. She provided us with the information we needed in a timely manner and helped us stay on top of all the paperwork and decisions she needed as well. We had one minor hiccup at the wedding, and she handled it so beautifully and we are so thankful! She was a joy to work with (along with the entire service staff).
Also, the food. We still have guests telling us it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding (and some, ever!). I am 100% gluten free, and the chef modified the entire menu so I could eat everything at the wedding. HIGHLY recommend!
The ONLY thing I can think of that bothered me, is their chairs provided for the reception space are conference chairs (not the most beautiful), so you have to rent chairs or buy/rent chair covers as we did.
With no hesitations do I recommend the Westin for a coastal wedding venue. It really gave us the wedding of our dreams, and I am so thankful! Would do it over again if I could!

I wish we could submit 10 stars
It's hard to put into words how perfect this venue was for my daughter's wedding weekend. From the first point of contact, our experience was exceptional. We were looking for an upscale venue that would accommodate a 3 day wedding weekend without leaving the property, and we hit the jackpot. The Westin/Marriott property was the most beautiful one we'd previewed and they had us at Hello. The grounds were flawless and landscaped beautifully.
We were very impressed with the length of time their staff had been employed. It was evident by the service given. Heather and Hanna were very personable, communicative, flexible and true to their word with delivering. They referred excellent vendors to work with which made for the perfect team.
We busted our budget a bit, however it was worth every penny and all guests commented on the excellent wedding food menu.
They offered multiple spaces included shaded seating areas, outdoor ping pong and cornhole, sand volleyball, covered cabanas with tvs and fridge, and a beautiful spa that accommodated our entire wedding party.
Would 100% recommend!

Beautiful place for a wedding
The food and coordinators that the Westin provides are absolutely amazing! We loved our menu options and the coordinator it was extremely helpful at making everything go smoothly! Obviously Hilton head is a stunning place to get married, but having an indoor reception space at the Westin was the best part of our wedding! Their spaces are beautiful and they accommodated all of my family and friends! Loved our experience.

Coastal Wedding!!
I found the Westin & it had the coastal feel I was looking for on my wedding day! I wanted our ceremony on the Ocean Deck but unfortunately there was a storm coming thru so we had it in the Mitchellville room which kept the theme I was looking for even though we had to move the ceremony inside. We still had the view of the ocean with the coastal.feel. Our reception was in the Grand Ocean Terrace which is sooo beautiful I couldn't ask for anything more!! Even though there was a storm coming thankfully I did a first look & we were able to take all of our pics outside on the deck before the storm. I would recommend The Westin to anyone looking for an amazing day!!
