We couldn’t have made a better choice hiring Nic to be our wedding photographer! He is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about his work, patient, and more than willing to get into awkward positions to get the best shot. If you want someone who will capture the *feeling* and experience of your wedding and not just a whole bunch of posed family portraits, Nic is your guy! For our engagement photos, Nic followed us through a forest and climbed over big boulders in Lake Tahoe to capture the most amazing shots. He made us feel comfortable and the whole experience enjoyable, which is saying a lot considering how much we dislike having photos taken of us. On our wedding day, Nic was completely unphased by the indecisive weather—beautiful sunny weather with puffy clouds one minute, pouring rain the next—and didn’t skip a beat when it dumped throughout our entire ceremony and we had to transition to indoors at the last minute. He has a keen eye for unique shots and knows how to use the light to his advantage. We are so pleased with Nic’s work and will cherish the photos he took of our engagement and wedding day for a lifetime.

I’ve known Nic since high school and watched his photography for a few years through social media. When my husband and I planned our wedding, the first thing we booked was Nic. Nic and Taylor did an outstanding job, in the midst of crazy hurdles and last minute changes (e.g., venue closures due to wildfires, COVID issues, etc.). We hired them for the full day, including a morning photoshoot in Yosemite NP, and they were always on point. At the end of the evening they had gotten some amazing footage, and yet we barely noticed them sometimes, as they were getting the perfect vantage point! Highly recommended, you will be very happy with the results.

Nic was wonderful to work with. He knew every detail to capture, he had the timing down perfectly, and helped us with poses we didn’t even know we wanted!

I appreciated his obvious expertise. We met over the phone a couple of times and ironed out all of the details, from timing of pre-ceremony photos to sunset photos with my groom to the lists of various family shots I absolutely needed to have.

Where do I even begin with Nic... Simply put; Nic is amazing. He is professional, talented, accessible, down to earth, talented and made my wife and I feel at ease before, during and after our wedding. Nic has given us a gift that is priceless to us, incredible photographs and incredible experiences with him. From our very first interaction, I enjoyed Nic. His first question to us sought to understand what our dream photo of our wedding would be, one that we could envision framed over the fireplace. I really enjoyed this approach, because it showed he wanted to know what we wanted, not just showcase his talents (which are aplenty). Our wedding took many turns for the worse through the 2020 pandemic and we had to change our plans multiple times. Nic was never flustered by this and worked tirelessly to make sure our package was exactly what we wanted. Not only that, literally a week before our wedding we thought we might not even be able to hold the event due to the surge in California, but Nic worked with us to make sure we were covered. During our wedding day we had a little chat that I appreciated, he explained to me that he knew the times were rough and he wanted to do anything possible to be that ONE thing for us that would actually work out, since we were facing so many challenges. It was so sincere, this guy is a gem. Some couples may find the experience of being photographed to be a bit uncomfortable and uneasy but Nic was so easy to work with and prompted us in ways that were fun and approachable. All of these things are just experiences we have had, and I cannot say enough good things about this talented young guy. As far as the work goes; well, that speaks for itself. We are beyond satisfied and absolutely in love with the work Nic did for us. Not to mention, his price was beyond fair for the level of photos we got from him. To further speak of his accessibility; we reached out a day after the wedding for a quick sneak peak (because we had no pictures to make an announcement) and the guy worked on the fly and got us 5 beautiful pictures that we could use for our social media announcements. He did not need to do that and it left us hungry for more. Although he quotes a few weeks to get us the full picture set, he got it to us in a prompt manner and all his hard work shows in the absolute sheer beauty of his photographs.

We had a hard time narrowing our choice down to two photographers and are so glad we went with Nic. I appreciated his communication style leading up to the big day and enjoyed his energy at the wedding. Our photos came back shockingly fast and we were able to cry all over them while we were still on our honeymoon. The thing I thought Nic did best was helping us with a small problem with our photos. A small section of the overall collection just wasn't coming out right on our devices or when we printed them, we wrote to him for advice almost six months later and he seemed glad to have the chance to make us happy. He made a small change that day that made them as great as the rest of the collection and gave us suggestions for how/where to print them to make them really look great (matte print recommended). That sort of professionalism that doesn't get offended that we had a concern was the biggest reason I would recommend him for your wedding or event.

Nic was absolutely wonderful! I've always felt very awkward and unphotogenic when having my picture taken but Nic made everyone feel so comfortable. The pictures are beautiful, I have a hard time even picking a top ten because they're all so great. Thanks so much Nic!

Nic was a wonderful photographer!! We highly recommend him and his assistant Rikki! We absolutely love the quality of all of our photos. He was very good about returning my emails and text messages before and after the wedding. He was patient with me the days leading up to the wedding when I changed the first look location several times. Day of, he showed up on time, had great ideas for places and positions to take photos and put both my husband and I at ease, so the photos came out great! I really could see how he had an understanding of how to utilize the natural light, which was important since most of the pictures we wanted along with the ceremony were outside. We also liked how he was able to manage family photos and keep everyone on track (which wasn't easy with our families and the kids running around). One of my favorite memories from the day was when Nic and his assistant Rikki jumped in our car with us after the ceremony and drove to a spot where we had to hike up a hill for some great shots! Nic’s attitude was so positive and enthusiastic and those pictures are some of my favorites.
