I knew the owner personally and that is why it’s taken me a while to decide to write this, but I’m just so disappointed with the experience.

We booked New Boyz 12 months in advance. A few weeks before our wedding we met up to go over my song choices.

Chris told me that he wouldn’t be DJing because he had been nominated for an award , but he would get me a replacement DJ. A few days before I asked him if he found anyone and turns out it was a co worker of his at his normal job. We met the day before the wedding and I told him what I wanted. His girlfriend who came with him to the appointment told me to send them a Spotify link to every one of the songs we needed (first dance, aisle, etc.). I did that. On my wedding day , my grandmother comes to walk down the aisle and he plays the song from YOUTUBE. She’s halfway down the aisle and a youtube ad started playing. Throughout the night we were so disappointed . My wedding coordinator had to go find him smoking outside FOUR times!! My husband was so irritated with him that he got our coordinator to do our shoe game questions instead of him because he didn’t want him to screw it up. Before our private dance (last dance), the DJ came up and said “I hope I did okay, it’s been a while since I’ve done this.” I’m almost positive he’s never DJ’ed in his life. It was an awful experience. I cut my husband off because I didn’t want an argument on our wedding day and told him it was fine, and to play our private dance song. I had multiple people ask me who we hired and that they were terrible. Very rarely did people dance , because his song choices were awful too.

I have given Chris a chance to reach out and see how his replacement did , but he has still NEVER checked on us! It’s been 4 months. All in all I was super disappointed with the entire experience. It’s really hard for me to write this, as I am a business owner too & I know bad reviews can suck, but I have to let my experience be known, especially since he didn’t even check to make sure we were happy.
