Nena did alterations for my daughters dress and stemed mine as well. She was such a sweetheart and her prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend anyone needing sewing services to visit her you will be very happy you did!!!

Nena's Needle was like finding a needle in a haystack. Without much time before the wedding (8 weeks) Nena was able to transform the dress I had into the dress I had dreamed of. When I took her the dress to ask how she could alter it she said, "it's a blank slate and we can do anything." She offered several creative ideas and made several adjustments to the design until we got it just right. The transition was like night and day. I am so grateful to have worked with Nena. If there were an option to rate her professional and skilled services at 10 stars I would.

Nena was a lifesaver! Something was wrong with my dress but I couldn't figure out what so with 3 1/2 weeks to go before the wedding I took it to another seamstress. I left a message at Nena's and she got back so quickly I got my dress in that day. Well...we figured out what the first seamstress did wrong! I had halter straps added to my dress and the first seamstress said she had the material to make them, well she didn't make them...she cut from the back of my dress!! So instead of having a small modesty panel to make the size 12 dress fit my size 14 body there was a HUGE modesty panel the width of my back...no wonder it wouldn't lay flat.

Anywho, back to Nena...after scratching her brain and at one point thinking I'd need another dress she finally came up with an idea. She just tore the modesty panel out and fixed the dress enough so that I could wear it with just a lace up back and was essentially bare back. It ended up looking phenominal and I got so many compliments on my dress! My biggest thing was that I finally felt pretty in my dress like I was suppose to feel in the beginning because it was a really great dress...I just let the wrong person work on it. So I would recommend Nena in a heart beat and if I ever have another need for a seamstress I'm heading to her place!!!

Nena handled the alterations needed for my bridesmaid's dress. After dropping it off I hadn't heard from her and called her on a Monday to find out when I could pick it up, she said it should be ready that Friday but never called me. I then called her late Friday afternoon to check and she said "Oh, I didn't call you?"

When I finally went to pick it up she had swapped my dress with one of the other bridesmaid's in the same wedding (although she admitted she at first thought she might have given it to a bridesmaid in a completely DIFFERENT wedding!!)

I had to be the one to go to the other bridesmaid and get MY dress, which due to the mishap hadn't been altered the way I'd requested. Nena didn't call to make sure that bridesmaid had MY dress, she didn't offer any help, nor did she discount my purchase. Nothing about the transaction was right!

She kept complaining about how busy she'd been and I tried to stay calm about the dress situation but her actions and the entire mishap were just so extremely unprofessional I could NEVER refer someone to her. Her handiwork was good and the dress fit perfectly (except for the alterations I needed that she did to the mixed up bridesmaid's dress!)
