On May 2016 Life.Film team had a great chance to film a beautiful wedding at Neighborhood Church.

We were just amazed by the scene: the view is just breathtaking!

The venue is very well organized! It has a bridal room with amazing view from the front door.

The church inside is bright and cozy and has a beautiful organ as well!

After the ceremony we had a chance to take family photos by the altar- which is always a great memory!

The area around Is just an amazing place for both photos and videos. Our team had a great chance to film the couple even with the drone camera!

Breathtaking church for a wedding ceremony located on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Beautiful service full of warmth and individual attention to detail for the bride and groom.

The Neighborhood Church is the most amazing venue, the scenery is priceless. Our pictures came out so great with such a gorgeous backdrop!

This was the most beautiful wedding venue we could ask for - and well worth the cost (not very expensive compared to others in the area). Our pastor, Rev. Moorhead, was wonderful and our whole ceremony went off without a single hitch. The wedding coordinator for the church, Barbara Johnson, can be a little difficult to get a hold of (you won't see her until the night before your wedding at the rehearsal) so be sure to call her early on and make plans for how you envision your big day. You will have to complete marriage counseling (1 day = 6-7 hours) to be married in the church - but you can be any denomination - but only their Revs. can marry you. All in all, it was one of the most beautiful parts of our day, and we'd do it all over again at that church in a heartbeat!

We had our wedding ceremony at The Neighborhood Church...I don't believe you'll get a better view in the entire South Bay! The one thing I really love about this church is that it's tucked away from the main streets...hence the name "neighborhood church" because it's right in the middle of a neighborhood with breath-taking homes. They provided a coordinator for the ceremony, and music is available if you choose not to bring an outside musical group.
Although you can't beat the location, this venue has some very strict rules. You cannot put anything on the pews and you cannot have a runner down the aisle. There are also restrictions as to where your photographer & videographer can set-up. Other than that, we were very happy with the church.

Our reception was held at the Palos Verdes Country Club. From here, you can see downtown LA as well as the ocean! It's a beautiful course with a private pond area to take pictures. We were 100% happy with everything. The ballroom is amazing because it has large windows all around the room, so you can enjoy the beautiful view during the entire evening. The food was excellent, we couldn't have asked for more.

The Neighborhood Church is absolutely incredible! The beautiful ocean views were invaluable and made for an amazing ceremony. We had a great time working with everyone in the church who helped put our ceremony together. The only down side is they have strict regulations for decorations in the church and photographers/videographers are not allowed to move around throughout the ceremony. You do not really need many decorations with the amazing ocean view (it didn't really bother us). The minister was great and really took time to get to know us before he married us. I would not want to be married anywhere else and am so happy we chose The Neighborhood Church.

Let me start by saying, that this is literally the most beautiful wedding venue location I have ever seen in Southern California. For those of you looking at other more expensive locations in Palos Verdes, let me tell you this place is not as known but it is right on the water and you cannot beat the view. That being said, if I went just by the gorgeous venue and the officiant, this place would get a 5 hands down. Unfortunately my rating is affected by the general attitude of the wedding coordinator as well as the overly strict attitude this location has about photography during the ceremony.

The wedding coordinator was extremely slow at contacting me before the service. Luckily our ceremony was simple. Throughout the rehearsal as well as the day of she was not a pleasant person to deal with. Her general attitude is strict, moody, and inflexible. I think a wedding venue should make an effort to choose a wedding coordinator with a little bit more of a happy general attitude to deal with wedding couples. Also, this location has very strict rules about where a photographer can be and what he can do during the ceremony. I understood this fully going in and even warned my photographer, but it seemed inappropriate for the wedding coordinator to nearly start a fight with the photographer at the back of the church as the ceremony is in progress and bridesmaids are walking down the aisle.

This place is definitely not a cheap option for a wedding ceremony, especially considering the fact that it is ONLY a ceremony locaiton, and ONLY has ceremonies on Saturdays, but I still believe it is worth the money for the location and location is everything. I also must commend the Pastor who officiated, he was absolutely excellent. He was easy to talk to, flexible, fun and inquisitive. He was a pleasure to work with before and during the ceremony.

Great location, view & ambiance. The service was great, sermon was also nice, however, decoration of the church is very limited/quite restricted. I had to use fake petals (which i did not mind) and wanted a lot of petals on the aisles but the coordinator was jippy and only allowed for so much in my girls basket that whatever they dropped was so scant, it looked tacky. It is a little pricey to get married there but at least you get a couple of hours and the people at the Church is very organized.

If you are looking for a picturesque view and a quick and organized ceremony, the Neighborhood Church is for you. However, if you are looking for a leisurely wedding where you are in charge of what goes where in the church, you may want to look at another place. The Neighborhood Church is beautiful, well-run, and offers an excellent ceremony, but there is little to no flexibility.
