We talked to probably 15 different photographers and didn't really feel like anyone was the right fit until Nathan. After we got off of the phone with him we immediately knew he was what we were looking for. He is so kind and also listens to everything you are looking for. We were set on not doing a first look and many photographers tried to sway our opinion. Nathan did the opposite and not only never tried to sway us but said it would be no problem and he could easily get us to cocktail hour in time after the ceremony (which he did!). Our whole wedding party and family knew him by name and brought up how great he and his second photographer were. He is not only a calming presence on your wedding day but is very organized and efficient in the way that you don't feel like you are taking photos all day. Having flexibility with timing and not a super strict number of hours was also so refreshing. Our wedding was in shock when Nathan edited pictures during dinner and displayed them that same night on the DJ booth. I cannot recommend Nathan enough and am so glad we found him for our wedding it couldn't have gone better and I can't imagine having anyone else.

Nathan is absolutely amazing. I was a wedding planner for a number of years & the first time that I worked with him I told him "I don't know who the groom will be, but I know you are the photographer!" Six years later, almost to the date! he photographed my wedding & he was PHENOMENAL!!!! Nathan is so creative & kind. He comes up with the best ideas and the shots come out so good. He does such a good job with all the personalities that come with weddings, families & bridal parties and he was such a fun edition to add to our group. He doesn't waste time and does a great job at getting the group going. Having Nathan photograph my wedding was even better than I thought it would be & it was the best decision I made!!

My first experience with Nathan was in 2016. He photographed my daughter's wedding- the pictures are incredible! I still feel the he emotion of the day when I look at them. The pictures are magazine-worthy. Nathan is patient, kind, funny and extremely talented. His gift is taking snapshots that do not appear posed or contrived. He has a knack of making his subjects feel relaxed and helping them "enjoy the day"- and each other. He has a calming effect on his subjects. My other daughter married in 2020. She booked her wedding date only after she confirmed Nathan was available to photograph the wedding. Nathan did 2 weddings for her- a small "covid" wedding and a large wedding after the quarantine was over in 2021. The pictures are amazing - he captured the beautiful moments for infinity. My son is recently engaged - his fiancée has seen my daughters' wedding photos (she is a professional event planner). She has asked me to give her Nathan's contact information. She thinks my daughters' wedding portfolios are the nicest she has ever seen. I agree!

Nathan English is amazing! Most people will agree the one of the most significant expenditures of any big life event is the pictures. Pictures are a physical manifestation of the memories we make. To us, photography and finding the right photographer was one of the most important choices of planning our wedding. We had met with a few photographers, but since we were planning our wedding from across the country, it was hard to get the right “vibe”. Until we met Nathan English. From the moment we met Nate (via Zoom) we could feel his energy and we clicked, we knew we wanted to work with him, and after looking at his portfolio we were sold. Fast forward to the wedding day, Nate showed up early to scope out locations, and without ever having met him in person, I felt like I had known him for years. Nate blended into all the festivities like family, he made everyone he came across feel comfortable and relaxed, but most of all, his talent is so great that his photographs truly capture the feeling of the day. Nate will forever be remembered by our family not just because of the truly amazing talent he shared with us, but because he was also one of the most incredible people we have ever met.

I am writing this review before we have even received our full album of pictures. Nathan went above and beyond for our wedding day, he even pinned some flowers on our guests in order to make our timing we had planned out. We had an original plan to take pictures at certain locations but the weather went from sunny to pouring rain and he took over and gave us some ideas on where to take pictures and we literally just told him "Do what you think is best". We had no worries at all! He ended up sending us around 45 pictures the next day and made a slide show within two days. The pictures are AMAZING. He captures the moments that are real and authentic which is what we were looking for. WE LOVED WORKING WITH YOU AND YOUR TEAM!!!! If anyone is looking for a photographer, this is your guy! Thank you for being a part of our wedding and capturing our memories that we will forever have because of you!

NATHAN ENGLISH is AMAZing! We hired him as our photographer and for videography.

If you're looking for "just a photographer", then he's not your dude! If you're looking for someone that just shows up on the day of with a fancy camera, then Nathan is not your dude.
Now...If you're looking for someone that is passionate for the art of photography and videography, makes it a point to understand the couple well before the wedding, is 100% present on your day, then Nathan is your person. He is willing to play so many roles for you! (coordinator/time manager, the bride's right hand man, the groom's wedding interpretor, the bridal party's favorite person) He, with my wedding planner (love greyson events), created a foolproof schedule that had 2 plans depending on weather and tons of cushion to allow for anything. He was there from the start to end and sneaked us out for the most amazing sunset pictures at the lake. Again, we are so appreciative for him and his team for their confidence and expertise. We didn't give him a lot of requirements because we trusted him fully and knew he would capture us and the day perfectly. He did just that.....way beyond our expectations! So thankful!

Nathan is absolutely amazing. His personality was fun and laid back. His photos are amazing! Very natural but gorgeous. We loved having him be a part of our special day.

You will not regret working with Nathan! We did a skype interview before choosing him because we were getting married remotely and loved his enthusiasm and energy right away. We ended up electing to do engagement photos though originally had not intended to and he offered to come out to Boston, as this was a city with more memories for the both of us. We were touched at his flexibility and the photos turned great. On the day of our wedding, he was very attentive and in the end we got some outstanding photos. We love him and hope to work with him again in the future!

My husband and I are so happy with Nathan. He's flexible, very professional, and so much fun to work with! Being a photographer myself, it was so important to me to find the right person to photograph my wedding. Nathan and I have worked together before, and I knew I wanted him when my husband and I got engaged. Nathan made me feel comfortable in front of the camera (something I'm not used to!) and the photos are absolutely stunning. We have received so many compliments on them. He traveled to Mt. Charleston, NV from Grand Rapids, Michigan at a very reasonable rate. Highly recommend!

I can't say enough good things about Nathan. Being a photographer and blogger, wedding photography was really important to me. Nathan went above and beyond to not only serve us like a friend on our wedding day (he helped my groom pin his boutineer, carried my things around all day, and basically acted as a second coordinator when the actual coordinator was busy with something) but also worked hard to accomodate our specific style and taste in photography (which was slightly outside of his usual work but he completely nailed it!). He captured the beauty and the beautiful moments of our day so perfectly and I'd recommend him a million times over!

Nathan is a professional through and through but he's also a friend and makes your wedding day a million times better -- which is super unusual with a photographer. His personality, servant's heart, hard work ethic, and simple humor as well as his artistic photography skills make him hard not to love.
