Ryan Mckenzie, owner of Music Makes You Move, has been DJ’ing since 2003. He made his start by DJ’ing local family weddings, parties and events for the local high schools in L.A. He then got the opportunity to be a DJ at one of L.A.’s largest DJ companies for three years. After gaining much knowledge and experience, Ryan then started his own DJ company.

A graduate himself, all of his DJ’s attended Scratch DJ Academy Los Angeles. Scratch L.A. is one of the world’s most prestigious DJ training institutions and all the students are trained by L.A.’s top radio Disc Jockeys. The instructors are employed by radio stations such as Power106, 102.7 KIIS fm, and 93.5 AMP radio.

Ryan and his team have entertained at many different events ranging from small, intimate weddings, fun high school proms, momentous New Years Eve Galas and luxury cruise ships carrying 3,500 passengers. Music Makes You Move has provided the Princess Cruises fleet with resident DJ’s spinning musical entertainment all over the world. The list includes; The Ruby Princess on the Mediterranean, The Golden Princess in Alaska, Canada and Hawaii and The Sapphire Princess on the Mexican Riviera.

We specialize in Disc Jockeys and have grown to provide other memorable elements of a successful event such as; Dance lighting/Ambient event lighting, Photo Booths, Videographers and Photographers.

All of our equipment is top of the line, and is the same equipment used in today’s most modern dance clubs.

For your assurance we have back up systems and music libraries for every event in the case of an unforeseen issue and we also carry LIABILITY INSURANCE at all of our events.
