Moxy Brooklyn Williamsburg

We hosted our wedding welcome drinks at Bar Bedford Garden at Moxy Williamsburg the night before our wedding. About fifty people at the peak of it, and the tented area was more than enough for that; we never needed to spill out into the garden itself.

We were late. Our rehearsal dinner in Manhattan ran long, and we arrived close to an hour after our guests started turning up. Sierra emailed partway through to say a few people had arrived and to check everything was alright, which was exactly the right thing to do. Sydney and Sierra ran the first stretch of our own party without us, and by the time we walked in there was nothing left to fix. Our numbers landed under what we had booked as well. Late flights and a busy weekend meant a few guests skipped this one, far too late for us to change anything, and they took that in stride.

We did a package bar and chose two signature drinks from their list. The bartenders were quick and friendly, and the drinks were good. Their DJ played the playlist we had supplied and did so well. The passed bites were good, there was plenty of seating, and they set up a welcome sign we had dropped off earlier.

We had a guest room block here as well. Setting it up was simple on our side, and a good number of our guests stayed at the hotel over the weekend. Booking and contracting the event were straightforward too; they were patient while we went back and forth about whether to do food at all, and they took the playlist without any fuss. For a relaxed night before the wedding, it was exactly the right room and exactly the right amount of formality.

We decided to host our civil wedding ceremony along with a dinner at the Moxy I know it was probably one of the best decisions that we made. My husbands dad unexpectedly passed away a month before our wedding so we had to majorly downscale everything. Truly the best support team we could’ve asked for. From the servers, to the bartenders to the wait staff, everyone was on the same page and we didnt have to worry about a thing. The ceremony was beautiful, respectful, and full of emotions. Cannot recommend this team enough.

Great venue for a unique wedding that isn’t cookie cutter ballroom. Sydney was super flexible and helpful every step of the way. We had an awesome night and couldn’t be more pleased!

They handled every detail—including last-minute changes—with calm confidence and genuine care, which provided us comfort during this crazy time.

One of the standout features of the venue is the rooftop space. The indoor/outdoor atmosphere with panoramic views of the city created a stunning backdrop for our celebration and gave our guests a truly memorable experience. We held our ceremony outside, cocktail hour inside, and then opened up the entire space for dinner and dancing. The flip outside from ceremony to dinner was quick and efficient.

Our guests also couldn’t stop talking about the food—everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented family-style. The menu was a hit across the board with highlights including the tuna tartare, falafel, octopus, and the best cheesecake I've ever had!
