Moxie did an amazing job catering our wedding. Jill was so easy to work with and set everything up beautifully. Loved the food and restaurant.

Jill and her team made our reception the most delicious ever! They even accomodated my weird food aversions... like olives. They made our reception dinner absolutely perfect.

What a great choice. As we were in the early stages of wedding planning, we kept hearing whisperings about how great the food is at Moxie. After a while, we knew we had to meet with them. What made us choose Moxie, other than all the recommendations we'd already received, was their willingness to help with dietary restrictions. We had wedding guests with a variety of food restrictions (no dairy, gluten-free, no beef, vegetarian, vegan). Moxie didn't give us just a boring dish of plain pasta with veggies as our vegan option - they offered an amazing curried vegetable korma over basmati rice. And it was GOOD! Our friends and family were so touched - and also just blown away by the flavor. My husband and I consider ourselves to be foodies, so the food was one of the more important parts of our reception. I certainly wouldn't say that Moxie is inexpensive, but for us, it was absolutely worth the price. If you want food that your guests will remember, think of Moxie.

Moxie Catering is unique. When my husband and I met with Jill for our initial meeting, we started to talk about what foods we like (and didn't like) and what we were thinking of having for our reception. They didn't make us choose from a menu, instead they custom built a menu for us based on our culinary conversation! When we received the first draft of the menu a few weeks after our meeting, it was spot on. Jill and Wes managed to pull out a perfect selection of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. They even through in a tray of mac and cheese at no charge for the kids. Jill also worked with us and provided the china, wine glasses, and even ice buckets for the tables. We received so many compliments on the food, and thoroughly enjoyed it ourselves. We highly recommend Moxie!!!

Wow! We are still getting compliments about our great wedding food. After doing some catering research, we were tired of the standard, "wedding chicken" and were refreshed to stumble across Jill and Wes for our catering. After Jill and I's first meeting, I immediately called my fiance and told him we would be booking them. She blew me away with their creativity and easy going attitude. Our tasting was amazing, and the food on our big day was even better. We cannot thank them enough for providing some of the best mac and cheese I've ever had. Thank you Jill and Wes!

Moxie was amazing. The communication was great. The tasting was AMAZING, it was in a cool restaurant and stuffed us all!! The food and service at the reception was unmatched. The servers constantly walking around helping out. By the end of the night everything was cleared off the tables so we could really enjoy our centerpieces all night. The food Moxie served us was so tasty. I am so happy we chose Moxie and highly recommend them to anyone. I know Moxie will have future customers because of people that attended my wedding.

Moxie is simply the best in town. Their menu and food selections are simply superb. At our tasting, we were able to try everything off of our menu and it was absolutely delicious. Throughout the reception, we heard nothing but amazing things about how everyone loved the food. We also used Moxie for our bar staff and the plates. We used their "vintage" plates collection which was such a unique look for our wedding - I highly recommend it. All of the items they prepared for us were perfect for the winter (butternut squash risotto, kale salad, etc) and I wish I had leftovers! Good thing we can go to their great restaurant to get more of their food!

We knew finding a caterer would be one of the most important decisions - and possibly the most difficult - for our wedding because we needed to serve zabihah meat (similar to kosher) for all of our Muslim guests. From day one talking to Moxie, they were willing to work with us to make sure everything was served according to religious guidelines, all without sacrificing any quality or changing our vision. They came up with an AMAZING Indian-Thai fusion menu and blew us out of the water at the tasting and, of course, the wedding.

Jill helped every step of the way, from linen and tableware selections to roughing out table rentals we would need from the venue, working with our coordinator and the venue staff to load in and set up on the big day. We didn't have to worry about a thing; everything felt seamless. And delicious! And in budget! Cannot recommend Moxie enough.

Moxie is the best catering co. in Kansas City. We choose Moxie to be our catering company for our wedding. It was one of the easiest decisions we've ever made. The food is delicious, the presentation spectacular, and Jill is a true gem! Jill is incredibly creative and at the same time amazingly detail oriented. Jill's knowledge and experience with menu and decor ideas, and of the venues logistics (the placing of the bar/food/tables, the lighting in specific areas, traffic flow, etc) was so helpful. She gave me great ideas and wonderful recommendations for other aspects of the wedding (cake, flowers, plate rentals). I trusted her completely which made my experience so much easier and and less stressful. I corresponded with Jill so that's why I focused so much on her in the review, but Wes is a really awesome cook! Jill & Wes make a great team and do top-notch work!
