Mary, Julie, and Kim exceeded every expectation when planning and executing my wedding. I’ve heard from many guests that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. I wasn’t the easiest client, often changing my mind and struggling to share the vision in my head. Mary just understood what I gave her, understood the venue space and knew what to do to make my vision happen. I even miscalculated the number of boutonnières needed, leaving us one short — and I didn’t find out until the next day. Mary and her team had made one out of her own supplies and extra flowers, and no one could tell. I couldn’t imagine a better end result—if you want to have the perfect wedding (where you don’t know about the inevitable mishaps that occur) then you need a Mother of the Bride wedding planner!

Mary was a phenomenal. Many moons ago, I sent her an inquiry and she immediately called me by phone. It was clear she was on top of her business and her follow-up foreboded well for potential relationship we might have. We had a lovely chat and I felt comfortable securing her services immediately. She was always prepared for our conversations and always offered to schedule the "next" talk ahead of time, never leaving me to wonder whether it was appropriate to be in touch with her. By the time we secured her services, I had booked all my vendors, so instead of helping me find vendors, Mary helped me strategize final details. She repeatedly offered to make herself available to me for whatever I needed, even though I did not want to bug her more than necessary. She came to our rehearsal dinner, helped us write the processional/recessional, and helped trouble shoot various items of concern in the days leading up to the event. She made contact with all vendors to confirm their services a few months out and then again the week before, allaying my concerns about whether everyone would indeed remember to show up! On the day of the wedding, I don't remember having to think about vendors once--which is a true testament to her managing the logistics of the day with ease and grace. Everything went smoothly--and if it didn't, I had no idea, which is exactly the way one wants their wedding day to flow. I can't recommend her enough. Truly--Mary was delightful, kind, funny, organized, professional, and very, very, very capable!

We somehow managed to get married amidst many life changes, and I ended up planning our wedding first from the other side of the country, and later in the midst of a cross-country move while starting a new job and living in temporary housing. Through all of this, Mary was my lifeline. When I felt like I couldn't keep up with things, Mary was the first person I would call or text. She is extremely professional and always makes herself available. We hired her as a day-of coordinator, but she was involved in so much more than just the day of. I turned to her for advice, to help put out fires, and to just help keep me on track. She was such a pleasure to work with and I couldn't recommend her more highly!

Mary was such a pleasure to work with! We asked her to coordinate the day of the wedding in order to manage all the vendors, guests, and transportation on the big day. She was super organized, calm, responsive, and thoughtful - both in the lead-up to the wedding, and during the actual day. I felt very comfortable leaving everything in her hands - and everything ran so smoothly and without a hitch. Mary Karnes, AKA Mother of the Bride, is an awesome ALA Carte Wedding Planner. I'm writing this review, as I (MOB), along with the (MOG), was very much involved in the planning of our children's wedding.
The wedding venue chosen was Folly Farm, a gorgeous location, but one which required that we obtain all vendors (caterer, florist, tents, chairs, etc.) on our own. After we obtained the major "players", we realized that we needed someone to assist us in putting all of the pieces together to create a wonderful wedding. Mary turned out to be that "someone”!
Mary told us to contact her whenever we needed any suggestions, advice, or just needed someone to calm us and provide direction. She always responded almost immediately.
Mary established herself with our vendors as our liaison. She fielded all of the questions, concerns, etc. that the bride, groom and parents had and handled many of the questions raised by the vendors, thus alleviating the need for us to attend to every minor detail.
During the last days prior to the wedding, Mary created a detailed day of wedding timeline. She revised it numerous times and was instrumental in making valuable suggestions. Mary and her daughter Tess, her assistant, attended the rehearsal the evening before the wedding. They used that opportunity to get to know everyone involved, as well as to familiarize themselves with the layout of Folly Farm and the locations of each part of the wedding.
On the day of the wedding, Mary and Tess came to our home, where the bride and her bridesmaids were getting ready for the wedding. After delivering the groom's flowers to his home, Mary and Tess went to Folly Farm and "worked their magic" in overseeing that every detail was coordinated. Mary is a soft-spoken, knowledgeable, incredibly reliable and skilled Ala Carte Wedding Planner. With Mary's extensive assistance, the wedding flowed smoothly and was as close to perfection as it could have been!

Wow, Mary & Debbie went above and beyond to help make my day so very special! From answering every little question before the wedding in emails and texts, to listening to me vent about family members or problems, Mary & Debbie were there from the beginning to the end! Debbie worked with us on our wedding day and she went above and beyond to make sure we didn't have to think about a thing, but enjoying our day. They are a must have on your wedding day even if you just need them for the day of. I can not thank them enough!

Mary P. Karnes is a great listener and then get's to work on all the big and small details. She is organized and thinks of details anticipating things ahead of time. She is professional and courteous but will go to bat to right any wrongs along the way.
