Owner Jake McDonald has worked as a professional videographer and photographer for over 15 years. He formed Moonlit Weddings with the goal of creating a personalized wedding videography experience and artistic, whimsical wedding films for couples on their big day.

Absolutely Stunning Wedding Videos – Jake is a Pro!

Jake at Moonlit Weddings was an absolute dream to work with! From start to finish, Jake made the entire process incredibly easy—he was organized, communicative, and brought such a great energy to our wedding day. He truly listened to our vision and executed it flawlessly.

The final videos were nothing short of stunning. We asked for a Wes Anderson-style aesthetic, and Jake delivered in every way—perfect framing, thoughtful details, and a beautifully artistic touch. It felt like a true cinematic masterpiece. We couldn’t be happier with the experience and the final product, and we’d work with Jake again in a heartbeat!

Make the wedding day last for years to come...

My husband and I knew we wanted a videographer to record all the life and motion of our wedding day. We chose Jake at Moonlit because we loved his authentic style. He was also incredibly straightforward and easy to work with throughout our planning process. But WOW - we were blown away by our wedding videos when we got them back! My husband said: "I feel like we're stars of a movie, this is Hollywood production quality!" We plan to look back on our video at each anniversary, and are happy we made the choice to go with Moonlit so we can relive each moment of the wedding day for years to come. Awesome Videographer!

I was on the fence about whether or not to hire a videographer, but I am so glad I did! Jake is responsive, friendly and great to work with. He had very creative ideas on the wedding day, and I can't wait to see the final result once it's ready! I wanted a videographer who wasn't too "in your face" and captured more candid moments, and Jake did just that. Thank you Jake!

Best Decision We Made!

After Covid took away so much of my daughter’s wedding plans, we decided to add Moonlit to record the ceremony and celebration for all those who couldn’t attend. We are SO glad we did. Jake’s films are top notch. He is professional and qualified. And barely knew he was filming. It was the best decision we made! We can’t wait to see the final product!

Absolutely blew us away!!

Jake McDonald and his team FAR exceeded our expectations!! They captured so much more than I thought on our wedding day and the end result was so heartfelt and touching. Every time I watch the video, I'm brought back to our wedding day and it's even more magical through the MoonLit Weddings lens :) Thank you, Jake!!

This man knows what he’s doing!

Jake was exceptionally kind with taking up our wedding at the last minute! We booked him only a month away from the wedding, and he jumped in to save the day.
He was really quick and easy to work with to get the shots he needed. We took photos before our ceremony, and even through everything feeling a little hectic, he knew exactly what to ask for making our time with him effortless.
We have not received our video back just yet, but we're so exceptionally excited based on how professional he is and his previous work.

Amazing videos!

Jake with MoonLit Weddings did an amazing job covering our wedding! Jake was quick to respond to emails whenever I reached out to him from start to end. The pricing is fair for the quality work he did. He captured so many beautiful moments throughout the day. The process of getting us to look natural came through the videos - nothing looked forced! We received our video within the time he gave us. I would highly recommend Moonlit for your wedding, you won't regret it! I only wish I got the Documentary package - it was so nice to re-watch our ceremony and highlight videos but we wanted more!

Amazing videographer, amazing work

There are no words that I can describe the way that Jake captures the moment. The way they were able to film certain details of our wedding was just amazing. I would hire Jake and his team over and over and over again! I HIGHLY recommend Moonlit Weddings!

Jake and his team at MoonLit were not only great during communications leading up to our wedding day, but they were on point and captured the best moments and details on the day of our wedding.
