We got very lucky with nearly all of our wedding vendors - but Saskia was truly above and beyond. From my very first communication with her (a phone call scheduled for 30 minutes that went more like 90!), her warmth and curiosity and passion for this work were clear - it was a no-brainer to hire her. (Bear in mind, this was in January of 2020, when we had no idea of all the craziness that was to come!) Yes, she helped us when we decided to reschedule due to COVID, but honestly, she helped us at every step of the way, even those I would have thought I had covered. I consider myself very detail-oriented, but she asked questions and raised suggestions I never even *thought* of (we wanted a family-style meal - but were the rectangular tables actually enough to hold platters of food without getting in people's way? as it turns out, no!). And she came up with so many great ideas for the craft party (highly recommend that add-on!) and really helped me bring our visions to life. We'd attended a wedding once with personalized notes in each escort card, and we really wanted to do that, but just assumed they'd be resting on tables - she and her wonderful day-of assistant, Melissa, somehow managed to display them in the most stunning way by spraying hula hoops gold and hanging them from velvet ribbon. Who thinks like that?! Saskia and MOOI.

If I shared every amazing thing, it would take all day. Suffice it to say, Saskia is the greatest. You'd be lucky to get to work with her!

Mara did an exemplary job as our wedding coordinator for our wedding day. She made sure all the details were discussed and a plan was in motion for our day-of details.

She helped us problem solve how to get our reception decor to the wedding venue since the venue could not store our decor in advance. She went above and beyond to make sure that part of our wedding day was a no fuss part. I appreciated that she advocated on our behalf with our vendors and made sure to chime in whenever there was a vendor waiting for a reply.

She remained poised and professional when dealing with our other vendors and the church coordinator. She made us feel valued and cared for us as if it was her own family member getting married. Her assistant Jenna was very friendly hand helpful along the way making sure I got to the church front door area safely and ready for grand entrance. She did a fantastic job setting up our reception entrance tables and favors, plus packed everything up nicely in their individual protective packing materials.

I was so happy to special note from Mara and Jenna with our to-go box of our wedding cupcakes. Sad the planning journey is over with them, but glad it went so smoothly thanks to all their help along the way and the month and day of.

We reached out to Mooi after a friend recommended them to us. We were looking for the month of coordination help rather than full wedding planning, and Mooi offered services for exactly what we needed. We worked with Linda for our 10/2023 wedding and she was excellent! She was exceptionally organized and gave us great feedback and very detailed timeline and checklists for vendors and family. Our wedding was at one of the East Bay regional parks, which came with some challenges and limitations that come with getting married in a public space. Linda + Saskia were super helpful in working through those challenges and making sure the day of our wedding went as smoothly as possible and stayed on schedule. They were also extremely helpful in finding great vendors and extra help for us. I was especially grateful when we had one vendor drop off on us last minute and Saskia was able to find a replacement just a few days before the wedding. Would highly recommend using both Mooi and Linda, they were such a delight to work with!

We reached out to Mooi for month-of-coordination for our wedding at OVY Camp, who listed them as a recommended vendor. We're so glad we did. Saskia was thorough, attentive, and communicative leading up to the event to best understand the vision and materials we'd planned for the weekend. Her input was invaluable due to Mooi's familiarity with OVY Camp, and in identifying the areas of preparation that we'd overlooked. Saskia's recommendations and coordination on the day of made all the difference. It allowed us (and our parents!) to be present and fully enjoy our wedding day we spent so much time planning for. We can't thank Saskia and her staff enough for helping to create a day we'll remember for the rest of our lives.

The Mooi team helped us find a few additional team members. They recommended a bartender, Kaitlin, who was fantastic, and were able to find additional staff to support with some of our logistics. They also have a rental catalogue, which came in handy for a few last minute items (card box, frames for bar menus, etc.).

Everything ran so smoothly on the day of the wedding (at least from our perspective)! We didn't have to worry about anything and were able to be fully present and enjoy the time with our friends and family.

We hired MOOI weddings for our September 2023 wedding in San Francisco and had a great experience. Saskia had so much insight and thought of many things I hadn’t considered - so valuable! Saskia’s expertise helped to reduce the stress that comes with wedding planning. I especially appreciated the month-of venue walk-throughs; those made me feel much more prepared and at ease. Saskia was also a wonderful partner to our other vendors and everyone felt good about where they needed to be and when.
The day-of, Saskia was punctual, organized and a calming presence. I was so grateful to have her there. Our wedding day felt perfect, flowing exactly, if not better, than we imagined. I was super appreciative and impressed by Saskia’s ability to perfectly bustle my dress, despite the complicated French bustle. I honestly feel emotional writing this review because Saskia and the MOOI team made our wedding preparation smooth and the day itself absolutely magical. We hired Saskia to help us with our wedding at Stern Grove on October 15th, 2022. My partner and I were very nervous about pulling off a wedding and we literally could not have done it without Saskia and her team. Stern Grove has a lot of particulars that Saskia is very familiar with which we wouldn't have been able to understand or navigate without her.

We went for the Full Design package as well as Month of Coordination and it was sooooo worth it! Our wedding was totally our style, and Saskia was so helpful in both honoring our vision and giving great advice. She helped us navigate many different vendors and helped us save so much money by working with her community and connections! Need a bartender? She's got it! Need a designer? She's got it! Need a super cute bohemian couch situation? She's got it!!

Throughout the entire planning process when we felt stressed out about something, my partner and I could send Saskia a quick text or have a phone call and she would help us make the right decisions. Leading up to the wedding and the day itself, I had full trust in MOOI so I could truly relax and enjoy this big day!!

We were lucky enough to find Mooi and have Christine be our day of wedding coordinator. Christine was friendly, patient and so incredibly helpful in making sure our day went perfectly. The checklist that Mooi uses to make sure that everything is ready was very helpful, and Christine's willingness to answer any and all questions was a dream! When Christine took over for us, we were so thankful for her attention to detail and ability to make sure that we were as stress free as possible on our perfect day. She was able to coordinate all of the vendors, handle all of the set up, and take down and keep us on time effortlessly, and we can not thank her, or Mooi enough for all of their hard work!

Saskia and her team were absolutely incredible! We hired her for month-of coordination and design consultation for our wedding, as well as full planning services for our rehearsal dinner and day-after picnic. We had to change our wedding venue with 29 days to go due to the infamous flooding at Stern Grove. Saskia stepped up, and was amazingly supportive in helping us find our new ceremony and reception site. She was there with us, and was truly empathetic as we navigated what could have been a disastrous situation. The day of the wedding went smoothly despite all of the re-planning, thanks mostly to her and her team. This all shows how caring and adaptable the Mooi team are!

The rehearsal dinner and picnic also went off without a hitch. Saskia's eye for design and attention to detail were really on display for those two events. Overall, we loved working with Saskia and the entire Mooi team, and could not recommend them highly enough for all of your wedding/event planning needs!

After the pandemic delayed what was supposed to be our May 2020 wedding, we were understandably apprehensive about whether we were actually going to be able to pull off our early August 2021 wedding. Enter the incomparable Maya Hann-Bird: from the first moment we met her, she was on it. She radiates calm and competence and is an absolute badass at getting stuff done. When we had to make some major last minute adjustments to the reception concept in order to stay in line with evolving COVID regulations, she nailed it. When, on the Wednesday before the wedding, our venue warned us they may cancel on us—she stayed calm and made sure the wedding happened. 1000 stars out of 10, we can’t possibly recommend her more highly.
