We got very lucky with nearly all of our wedding vendors - but Saskia was truly above and beyond. From my very first communication with her (a phone call scheduled for 30 minutes that went more like 90!), her warmth and curiosity and passion for this work were clear - it was a no-brainer to hire her. (Bear in mind, this was in January of 2020, when we had no idea of all the craziness that was to come!) Yes, she helped us when we decided to reschedule due to COVID, but honestly, she helped us at every step of the way, even those I would have thought I had covered. I consider myself very detail-oriented, but she asked questions and raised suggestions I never even *thought* of (we wanted a family-style meal - but were the rectangular tables actually enough to hold platters of food without getting in people's way? as it turns out, no!). And she came up with so many great ideas for the craft party (highly recommend that add-on!) and really helped me bring our visions to life. We'd attended a wedding once with personalized notes in each escort card, and we really wanted to do that, but just assumed they'd be resting on tables - she and her wonderful day-of assistant, Melissa, somehow managed to display them in the most stunning way by spraying hula hoops gold and hanging them from velvet ribbon. Who thinks like that?! Saskia and MOOI.
If I shared every amazing thing, it would take all day. Suffice it to say, Saskia is the greatest. You'd be lucky to get to work with her! -

Working with MOOI Weddings was a game-changer for me. As a former exhibit/event designer, I wanted to help my niece with certain aspects of their wedding. Saskia was able to weave the couples vision and my elements for a cohesive look. Saskia communication style is refreshingly straightforward—they kept everyone in the loop with clear updates and stayed focused on what actually mattered for the day. What impressed me most was how conscientious they were about the details; nothing fell through the cracks despite the complexity of our setup. They were genuinely resourceful when it came to collaborating with me, making sure all creative visions aligned seamlessly. MOOI Weddings didn't just check boxes—they invested in understanding the overall aesthetic and made it happen flawlessly. I'd absolutely recommend them to any couple looking for planners who truly care about getting it right. -

Mara did an exemplary job as our wedding coordinator for our wedding day. She made sure all the details were discussed and a plan was in motion for our day-of details.
She helped us problem solve how to get our reception decor to the wedding venue since the venue could not store our decor in advance. She went above and beyond to make sure that part of our wedding day was a no fuss part. I appreciated that she advocated on our behalf with our vendors and made sure to chime in whenever there was a vendor waiting for a reply.
She remained poised and professional when dealing with our other vendors and the church coordinator. She made us feel valued and cared for us as if it was her own family member getting married. Her assistant Jenna was very friendly hand helpful along the way making sure I got to the church front door area safely and ready for grand entrance. She did a fantastic job setting up our reception entrance tables and favors, plus packed everything up nicely in their individual protective packing materials.
I was so happy to special note from Mara and Jenna with our to-go box of our wedding cupcakes. Sad the planning journey is over with them, but glad it went so smoothly thanks to all their help along the way and the month and day of. -

We are SO appreciative of the Mooi team for all of their hard work in making our wedding day run as perfectly as it did.
We were lucky to work with Mara, who is absolutely the best. Throughout the planning process Mara went above and beyond. She is supportive, calm, and super responsive. Our families were blown away by her thorough timelines and attention to detail. She patiently helped us understand the logistics and double checked everything to ensured there were no holes in our planning. Thank you!!!! It feels weird that we won't be in touch with Mara every day anymore, haha. We miss her already!
The Mooi team helped us find a few additional team members. They recommended a bartender, Kaitlin, who was fantastic, and were able to find additional staff to support with some of our logistics. They also have a rental catalogue, which came in handy for a few last minute items (card box, frames for bar menus, etc.).
Everything ran so smoothly on the day of the wedding (at least from our perspective)! We didn't have to worry about anything and were able to be fully present and enjoy the time with our friends and family.
We're so appreciative of the Mooi team. -

I honestly feel emotional writing this review because Saskia and the MOOI team made our wedding preparation smooth and the day itself absolutely magical. We hired Saskia to help us with our wedding at Stern Grove on October 15th, 2022. My partner and I were very nervous about pulling off a wedding and we literally could not have done it without Saskia and her team. Stern Grove has a lot of particulars that Saskia is very familiar with which we wouldn't have been able to understand or navigate without her.
We went for the Full Design package as well as Month of Coordination and it was sooooo worth it! Our wedding was totally our style, and Saskia was so helpful in both honoring our vision and giving great advice. She helped us navigate many different vendors and helped us save so much money by working with her community and connections! Need a bartender? She's got it! Need a designer? She's got it! Need a super cute bohemian couch situation? She's got it!!
Throughout the entire planning process when we felt stressed out about something, my partner and I could send Saskia a quick text or have a phone call and she would help us make the right decisions. Leading up to the wedding and the day itself, I had full trust in MOOI so I could truly relax and enjoy this big day!!
Look no further for an amazing wedding coordinator and her team. You won't be disappointed! -

We were lucky enough to find Mooi and have Christine be our day of wedding coordinator. Christine was friendly, patient and so incredibly helpful in making sure our day went perfectly. The checklist that Mooi uses to make sure that everything is ready was very helpful, and Christine's willingness to answer any and all questions was a dream! When Christine took over for us, we were so thankful for her attention to detail and ability to make sure that we were as stress free as possible on our perfect day. She was able to coordinate all of the vendors, handle all of the set up, and take down and keep us on time effortlessly, and we can not thank her, or Mooi enough for all of their hard work! -

Maya Hann-Bird makes it happen!
After the pandemic delayed what was supposed to be our May 2020 wedding, we were understandably apprehensive about whether we were actually going to be able to pull off our early August 2021 wedding. Enter the incomparable Maya Hann-Bird: from the first moment we met her, she was on it. She radiates calm and competence and is an absolute badass at getting stuff done. When we had to make some major last minute adjustments to the reception concept in order to stay in line with evolving COVID regulations, she nailed it. When, on the Wednesday before the wedding, our venue warned us they may cancel on us—she stayed calm and made sure the wedding happened. 1000 stars out of 10, we can’t possibly recommend her more highly. -

Saskia Winter, Miracle Worker
5 Stars truly does not capture the work Saskia, Hannah and her team did for our wedding - they pulled off a MIRACLE! The TL;DR we had to reschedule our wedding not once, but twice. Once to the pandemic, the second time 10 days before our wedding due to a flood at Stern Grove. The city had reserved us space at a new venue that did not work with everything we had planned for the last 2 years. Saskia jumped in to save the day, talked with the head of Parks and Rec for SF, and was able to find us a beautiful unknown gem in the city, Sunnyside Conservatory, that they were not going to let us book initially. Saskia made it happen! As for vision, planning, assisting my wife and I every step of the way, we could not have asked for a better group to work with. I know they had multiple weddings impacted due to the floods, and we felt like the only wedding they had. :-)
Special shoutout to Hannah for helping us orchestrate the day-of logistics - nothing but rave reviews from the entire wedding on the venue, decorations, flow, and the people. -

Above and beyond
Saskia and her team were the best move for our wedding. We booked our wedding in a park, so needed to do all the vendor finding, clean up, etc. our self. Saskia to the rescue! She had a list of vendors ready to share with us and worked and communicated amazingly with the ones we found. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. Saskia went above and beyond. She set up a grading board for us, arranged flowers for us in vases that we rented directly from her and even went out during the reception to get me emergency allergy medications. She is amazing and her team was fantastic -

Saskia was the planner for our wedding and it was so wonderful to have her on board! She has a great design aesthetic and I appreciate that she had the skills to put my vision together for our big day. It was nice to just let go the last month and trust that everything was getting coordinated and done. She’s a good communicator and is very organized, and it allowed me to just relax and enjoy the weeks leading up to the event as well as the big day. That’s the best part! My husband and I always talk about how nice to was to just enjoy our day — not once did we have to worry or address any issues, we just got to enjoy our friends and family. If I was going to get married again (I hope I don’t! haha), I would work with her again! -

There's so much you have to deal with when planning your wedding. A lot of the vendors do a great job in providing a quote and selling their product, but I have a full time job and a life outside of planning a wedding, and although I'm very organized and a natural planner, there were so many small details that I just never thought about or knew how to even tackle. Hiring Carolyn at Mooi Weddings as our event coordinator was the best thing we did. My only regret is that we didn't book the full services and had her work with us from the very beginning.
Months leading up to the wedding, Carolyn was flexible with her time and very helpful. I also respected that she wasn't a simple "yes" woman. She is the expert and knew more than us what were our realistic limitations. Trust me this is important. She helped us make our dream wedding happen while keeping in mind our budget and amount of time we had on our wedding day.
My family and guests absolutely loved her as well and they aren't easy to please. We highly recommend Carolyn!
Our wedding was the best day ever and it ran smoothly from beginning to end. She maintained a level of professionalism and also was very approachable. We loved them! We honestly felt that their pricing was quite reasonable and looking back they delivered more than their cost.

Supporting our wedding vision
We hired Mooi and signed on to work with Saskia as our day-of coordinator for our wedding in Napa, but we wanted anything but a traditional Napa wedding. In fact, we chose a place that had never hosted a wedding before, which had a space that was pretty raw but bursting with potential. Saskia encouraged us to see that our vision was possible, even though it would take some airtight planning. She was available by email, phone, text, video call, and, we’re sure, smoke signal, if things had come to that. She helped us to understand what parts of a wedding ceremony and reception were often expected and took no offense when we wanted to deviate. She also asked questions to prompt us to consider what our parents and relatives might want, expect, and need to feel special during the wedding. The day before and the day of the wedding, she drove up to Napa, respected our tardiness, and helped to get us on track. Even more, on the day of the wedding, we barely heard from Saskia because she was handling everything. Moreover, we didn’t hear from the multiple vendors because she took care of all contact, ironed out all of the wrinkles, and played the role of the tough guy when vendors didn’t follow through with their contracts. Saskia made all of our big plans happen, but she and her assistant made sure little things happened too. For example, she brought us food when she saw that we were too involved in the reception and guests to eat, and, even better, she left us food from the reception in the kitchen to find and devour after the caterers had packed up and left. We asked our guests to keep their phones in their pockets during the ceremony so that they could be present with us, and Saskia was able to capture beautiful videos and pictures that would have been missed entirely because all of the guests were honoring our request. We are so glad that we worked with Mooi. We got to have our wedding, not the cookie-cutter wedding that another planner would have wanted. -

I hired Carolyn Edgecomb for my Day of Coordinator for my Wedding Day and I'm so happy I did. I was able to enjoy and soak in my Big Day. Carolyn was flexible with me in the months leading up to the wedding. Her willingness to have calls with me during the week on things I was worried about and going over the Google Sheets to keep us organized really helped. But what I valued the most is how her and Kyle really took charge the day of to make sure we were on schedule and did everything we wanted to do for our Big Day. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Carolyn = the best
We absolutely loved working with Carolyn at Mooi! Our wedding was a weekend camping celebration, and Carolyn was totally down to camp and take care of everything for the entire weekend. As someone who is a planner and worries about everything when throwing a party, I was able to relax and let Carolyn take the reins. I also just enjoyed working with her because she is fun, relaxed, and goes with the flow while also being super organized and on top of her game. I would highly recommend working with her and her team! -

Hiring Carolyn to be our month-of coordinator was by far the best decision we made while planning our wedding. Within days after hiring her, she had already paid for herself through recommending high quality, affordable vendors that saved us more money than her fee. And this was NOT because we hadn’t been looking- Fiona does research for a living and we thought we had found everything that was out there!
Carolyn made sure we were on track, and was an invaluable advocate for us while we were communicating with and signing contracts with vendors. She was the reality check we needed when our lofty DIY decor ambitions got out of hand, but also gave us tips and tricks to make sure we completed the personal projects that were most important to us. Every time we finished a phone conversation with her, we felt like we had a clear direction and were on the right track. She made a very stressful planning process way more relaxing- especially in the hectic days leading up to the wedding. Her presence is both energizing and calming.
During the actual wedding, Carolyn was everything we could have asked for in a wedding coordinator and more. Within an extremely tight time frame, her and her team organized an entire cargo van worth of decor, drinks, supplies, potted plants, and god knows what else, and then set it all up with time to spare. Anything we threw at her last minute she accepted with a smile on her face and got it done. All of the little problems that popped up were gracefully taken care of with creativity and aplomb. Carolyn is incredibly resourceful, an excellent leader for her team, and really good at keeping things on track.
Not only did we have an amazing experience with Carolyn as our wedding coordinator, but we had the pleasure and good fortune of attending another wedding that she coordinated because we recommended her to our good friends that were getting married two weeks after us. Not only was it awesome to get to hang out with her some more, but we had an equally amazing experience being a guest at a wedding she was coordinating.
We have full confidence that Carolyn will help you realistically plan the wedding of your dreams, no matter how off the beaten path and funky you want it to get, and will make sure your wedding goes off without a hitch. We cannot recommend her highly enough!

Saskia was the absolute perfect wedding coordinator for me. From our very first conversation, I felt like our personalities matched. She completely understood my vision for the wedding.
Even though I booked her for month-of coordination, she didn't mind if I emailed her small questions from time to time many months before the wedding.
By the time the venue walkthrough came, I was completely sick of making decisions and trusted Saskia completely. I took her advice on how to set up certain areas, how to decorate (with decor I had already chosen), and basically everything else.
On the weekend of the wedding, everything was perfect. Saskia was so organized and professional, but was always warm and easy going. She had the perfect blend of totally on top of it and chill at the same time. I am probably forgetting a million little things she did to make my day special. All I can say is thanks a million and if you think Saskia might be a good fit for you, absolutely check her out. -

Carolyn was such a blessing! She is kind, creative, encouraging, super organized, patient, and responsive. She made us feel like her only client and provided support throughout the entire process from the planning stages to packing everything up. Our wedding was the best day of our lives and she made it special, memorable, and stress-free!
Since I did most of the wedding planning, the hubby did all the reviewing! Read his comments below:
My wife and I came to Carolyn after abruptly leaving a relationship with a mediocre (at best), slightly unreliable wedding planner. We were also planning the wedding from across the country, already over budget, strapped for time, super ambitious, unfamiliar with wedding planning, and super specific with what we hoped for. In order to ensure our new planner was able to handle the challenge, we laid this all out for Carolyn during the first phone consult. She didn’t even blink as we explained all of this; she confidently and reassuringly told us that this was all part of her job and she’d take on the challenge with open arms.
Since that initial phone call, Carolyn repeatedly, pleasantly surprised us. She clearly knows this business and this process and has systems set up for everything. Every new decision came equipped with a perfectly mapped-out spreadsheet. Every deliverable came early and better than we’d pictured. Carolyn was able to take our very-specific, yet poorly articulated dreams, and make them into a reality. E.g. “Carolyn, you know those lights that kinda make you feel like you’re in heaven?.... We want those.” Carolyn knew that these were called ‘fairy lights.’ She ordered them for us and hung them exactly as we’d dreamed!
After a week or two of working with Carolyn, my wife (then fiance) and I were able to chill out, knowing that, as long as Carolyn was in our lives, we wouldn’t need a wedding to-do list, we wouldn’t need a perfectly organized google calendar- she’d be there to bring things along and remind us of anything we’d overlooked. I don’t mean to imply that Carolyn did everything, but she did make us confident with what we were doing. And she did make all that we did a little bit better.
Her email, text, and phone call turnaround time was scary quick… like within 30 minutes a lot of the time! At one point, Carolyn left town for a small vacation. She told us about it weeks in advance, sending several reminders along the way. When her trip finally came around, she reminded us she’d be slightly out of reach, but assuring us she’d still try to work while traveling.
This was, clearly, going wayy above and wayy beyond what we’d expected of her, but this demonstrates Carolyn's commitment to her work and to her clients.
Needless to say, Carolyn improved our wedding planning experience and our wedding exponentially.
The days leading up to the event, as stress and pressure mounted, Carolyn was in constant communication, reminding us only of what we needed to know each day, reminding us of when to be where, what to bring when, etc.
By the time the wedding actually began, Carolyn was by our side (not obtrusively, but reassuringly).
She’s easily worth twice of what she charges. She’ll do three times what she advertises. And when we need to plan our kid’s bar-mitzvah, she’ll be our first pick.

Mo Sent on 03/27/2018I can honestly and without reservation recommend Mooi Weddings. They are marvelous designers, know all the ins and outs, and will make sure not a thing is missed, from engagement photo sessions to chef tastings to cake to rentals to staffing to decor and event coordination and right down to how much you should tip your vendors. I had my dream wedding on New Year’s Eve, in every respect. Mooi made it all happen.
They took a huge weight off my shoulders. I couldn’t have asked for a better team. I would say I’m as perfectionistic and detail oriented as they come. I know how to put together and run teams to make things that work and are beautiful. Mooi’s planners have the same skill in putting together the team that will make any event fantastic.
If I might provide a little advice. As a couple, agreeing on and knowing your vision is key. The overall idea should remain in the forefront, and using that as a guide in all decisions will help you get through what will appear to be a rather scary and complicated process, in the beginning at least. Know your budget, be flexible, open to new ideas and decisive, and you will be delighted with the outcome.
Mooi will help you navigate the entire process, and will help you have fun while doing so. In the end, your event will be absolutely amazing. -

Liz Sent on 12/28/2017Carolyn at Mooi was perfect and I could not have pulled off my backyard wedding without her. There were days where I could not focus and just wanted to hide under the bed with a bottle of wine and she’d zip around my house measuring everything and counting chairs and ordering everything we needed. She was very respectful of our budget and was “the bad cop” with the vendors. The day of the wedding went off perfectly and if there were any problems, I didn’t hear a whisper! This was the very best money I spent and I cannot recommend Mooi strongly enough.
