Maryann is such a great person to work with right off the bat, she really knows what she's doing and she's a good communicator. The way our reception turned out was so wonderful and the timing of the courses went really smoothly. I can tell all my guests were happy with the turn out as well. The way everything was set up was wonderful and I was completely satisfied with the service that they provided.

I had so many compliments with the food from my guests. We had the chicken and the tri tip for the entrée, it was delicious. We also added the taco bar (for late night munchies) and everyone LOVED it. Highly recommend this so your guest won't leave your wedding hungry ;)

I hired Mona Lisa Catering for my wedding that was on October 19, 2019. I was taking on the insane task of planning most of wedding solo and the caterer was the first item on my to do list.

After requesting a ton of quotes of other vendors I stumbled across Mona Lisa Catering. I went to their website to check out their menu and pricing. Their website honestly could use some work, but their prices lured me into contacting them. I scheduled a tasting and I was sold. I met with MaryAnn directly and she was very helpful, professional and friendly. Initially I wanted the lamb, but MaryAnn was very honest and candid with me, she said that yes, their lamb was amazing but many of the guests may not like lamb, and after some thought i'd say yes, that's probably true. Lamb has a distinct taste and not everyone loves it, so we went with the safe option, Chicken, with mushroom cream sauce, mashed potatoes, and veggies. Sounds basic, but the taste was phenomenal, everyone made a point to tell me on the day of my wedding how much they enjoyed the food. I kept hearing that people were shocked by moist and flavorful the chicken breast was. I personally thought it was phenomenal as well. In addition dinner. MaryAnn was also very flexible in regards to special meals, I had 3 gluten free guests, 5 vegetarians, and 1 vegan. It wasn't a problem for MaryAnn! Further our venue was picky, no red sauce, no red wine, no red ANYTHING, MaryAnn worked with that too and made sure we had no issues.

Mona Lisa Catering offered an unlimited fruit table and appetizer option for 1hr during cocktail hour for an additional charge, and provided a wedding cake for an additional charge as well.
The appetizer and fruit table were awesome! We picked crab salad, potato salad, hummus, and cheese and crackers, she included free of charge, assorted olives. The crab salad was hands down my favorite! It was so tasty! The fruit was a refreshing item to have during cocktail hour as well. The cake came from a french bakery, we ordered a lemon and strawberry cake with a whipped frosting inside and out, day of it ended up being just a white cake with strawberry but on the plus side the cake was super tasty and moist, so no major complaints there.

MaryAnn didn't just stop at food service, she was amazing when it came to making sure my wedding and my vision came together as expected, she was more than happy to lend a helping hand to my day of coordinator once all her catering duties were done. she made sure all the tables looked good (like the DJ table needed skirting because he brought a wonky looking table cloth but instead of just letting it look bad, she took care of it for me), she checked in with me prior to me making a grand entrance, she checked in with me during the reception, AND when i told her that i loved the crab salad best, she made sure to pack it up for me to take home!

All in all I had an outstanding experience with Mona Lisa Catering and would 100% recommend them and MaryAnn to anyone who asks.

Mona Lisa Catering was absolutely awesome! The food was great. I received many compliments on how delicious the food was. The staff and servers were very professional and attentive. Working with Willie for my daughter's wedding was very nice. He made sure that everything was going as planned. He knows his stuff! The presentation for the reception was spectacular! I cannot say enough great things about MaryAnn and Mona Lisa Catering. From the first meeting in their home office to the final meeting in their new location, they have been warm, helpful, and professional.

Before the tasting we planned on choosing something other than the basic chicken and veggies/rice dish to try and be a little 'fancier'. But after tasting the chicken with mushroom sauce at our first meeting, we realized it was absolutely delicious and we didn't need to 'uograde'! We ultimately decided to get the chicken dish to keep cost down so that we could splurge on a taco bar, which Mona Lisa also provides.

In our final meeting, five days before our wedding... Because we booked so far in advance (over a year), a few things had changed and needed to be adjusted. Our Day-of-Coordinator provided some dishware in her package, and had chargers that we liked more than the gold ones we were going to get from Mona Lisa. MaryAnn had no issues removing it from our invoice, even though it would mean less money from us.

On our wedding day, they showed up with plenty of time to set up all our tables along with our Day-of-Coordinator while I relaxed and got ready. MaryAnn came to me a couple times to ask my opinion on how things should look, which I absolutely loved, because I'm a very hands-on person, but couldn't decorate things myself. It made me feel much more involved. She also came and showed me pictures when everything was set up and finished!

We had cheesecake and brownies for dessert instead of cake, and a few days before our big day, I texted with MaryAnn to make sure we'd have enough for everyone. She suggested getting an extra one just in case. With all of the planning and things I needed to remember, the day of the wedding I realized I forgot to get the extra cheesecake. She assured me it would be fine and that they would figure it out. Later on she even got an extra cheesecake while she was at a grocery store. I offered to pay her back but she never pressed the matter.

The food was absolutely delicious, (literally every wedding guest told me so) and the wait staff brought us drinks from the bar even though our bar service was separate from catering and they absolutely didn't have to grab us drinks. All of the staff was friendly and hardworking! The taco bar later in the night was an absolute hit! With 3 kinds of tortillas, 3 kinds of meat and a ton of toppings, not only was it delicious but the set up looked great as well.

At the end of the night they packed up all of the extra food and we were able to take it home with us. Believe it or not, the chicken and the leftover carne asada was still juicy and delicious even as leftovers!

There are so many wonderful things to mention, these are just a few of the great things I can say. Overall, MaryAnn went above and beyond to make our day perfect, and I cannot thank her enough. I highly recommend Mona Lisa Catering for your next event.

Our wedding day was definitely one that we will forever look back upon and tell our children and grandchildren about for generations to come. The #WoosleyFire broke out in the eve of our wedding and, come Friday morning, it had completely engulfed our beautiful city and local communities in flames and despair. On Friday morning, day of the wedding, you could imagine how chaotic it was for me and my husband to process what was going on, let alone to figure out how to salvage our ceremony and reception plans due to mandatory evacuations all throughout East Ventura County cities.

Early Friday morning, I contacted Willie and Maryanne regarding the venue closing due to mandatory evacuations in the area. Maryanne was so understanding and helped me figure out backup plans for a new venue- she even offered to research venues in my price range to help us have a beautiful reception like we planned for. After several hours, we found a new venue and Mona Lisa was at the location within an hour of when our scheduled start time was planned on our wedding timeline- they were so polite and caring when we arrived and helped us have a beautiful wedding. I received several compliments and positive feedback regarding how tasty everything was and the service we received throughout the wedding.

Willie and Maryanne , Wesley and I are so unbelievably grateful to you both for your patience and flexibility on our wedding day. You will forever be remembered in our wedding story for generations to come.

If you're planning an event of more than 100 people, your first and wisest decision is to call Mona Lisa Catering. From day one of our planning to the day of our event, working with Willie was a completely stress-free, very reasonable priced, learning experience. My husband and I celebrated our 50 year anniversary and entertained our friends at our home in a wonderful environment made more spectacular by the beautiful displays expertly created by Willie, his charming wife, and his professional and accommodating staff. What a night! Willie came early in the day to set up and prepare a delicious eating experience. Having visited our home earlier, Willie inspected and advised on how to optimize our space and create the perfect presentation, and on the day, everyone was prepared to go right to work with his well thought out plan. Every piece of advise Willie gave us was spot on-even when we had different opinions, he ended up correct. The success of our party was in large part due to our closely following Willie's endlessly patient and wise direction. All that said, nothing prepared us for how delicious the food we selected actually turned out-more superb than the tasting at Willie's home. Endless appetizers, main courses served hot and steaming, show stopping cake. Our guests, many of whom have had similar celebrations and were well versed on catering ups and downs, really raved at how wonderful the food was presented and how delicious everything, everything, tasted. Right at the start, the appetizers were nothing like the usual fare. The shrimp display was massive and endless, the handmade meat balls swimming in a dynamite sauce were outstanding, the puff pastry cheese triangles were a must have, and the homemade hummus was a real show stopper, along with the other dishes Willie added to the hors d'oeuvres table. Willie is a straight shooter, to the point, no hidden fee type of guy. I appreciate the transparency. The food is delicious and he is very professional. You get an incredible deal for the value. Totally recommend.

Willie and Mona Lisa Catering were such a pleasure to work with for our wedding. At our initial meeting with Willie, he made my wife and me feel very comfortable and was able to provide us with suggestions from all the experience he had doing weddings.

After we had decided to go with Mona Lisa Catering our venue informed us that the reception area was not going to be available until 4pm, which left Willie and his team only 3 hours to setup when they typically needed 4. He simply said for us not to worry and that they will have it all ready within the 3 hours. This just goes to show the type of person Willie is and how he will do everything in his power to make your day perfect. We received a lot of feedback from our guests about how good the food was and how nice the serving staff treated everyone.

On the day of the wedding Willie even took a picture of my wife and I and a few minutes later presented us with an engraved frame with the picture inside! This really meant a lot to us since it was the first picture we were able to see of ourselves after the wedding.
