Molly Lichten is a DC wedding photographer for those wildly in love. Based in Northern Virginia, she primarily photographs weddings throughout Washington DC and the East Coast, while continuing to document a select number of celebrations in Southern California each year. With over a decade of experience, and more than 250 weddings photographed throughout Washington DC, Northern Virginia, Maryland, Southern California, and beyond, she works hard to capture the beauty of your special moments in eye-catching, dreamy, and dynamic photographs that will stand the test of time.
Molly believes the most meaningful wedding photographs are created through a balance of thoughtful artistry and genuine connection. With an editorial eye and a passion for storytelling, her approach blends intentional imagery with the honest, often fleeting moments that make each wedding unique.

Molly is the BEST photographer EVER
Molly has such a natural, effortless way about her. We were able to just interact with each other like we normally do, and she captured our sweetest, most genuine moments perfectly. Nothing felt forced or overly posed. The photos truly feel like us, which is exactly what we wanted.
At the same time, she gave us just the right amount of direction. She helped guide us into poses that felt natural and flattering, and she wasn’t afraid to gently tell us if something looked awkward (which we appreciated so much!). It really felt like she tailored everything to us instead of using a one-size-fits-all approach.
And the turnaround time?! She sent sneak peeks the day after both our engagement session and our wedding (when does she sleep?!). Being able to relive those moments so quickly was such a gift.
Molly was worth every single penny, and we would choose her again in a heartbeat for any photography needs. If you’re considering booking her, do it!!!

Molly is the Absolute BEST!
We first met Molly for our early-morning waterfront engagement photo shoot, where she was able to quickly identify a number of beautiful settings for our photos. She made us feel comfortable and at ease immediately, so our photos turned out natural and genuine. She brought the same level of care and professionalism to our wedding day, working efficiently to wrangle family and guests but never making us feel rushed or over-scheduled. Her creative suggestions for our photos led to some of the most beautiful moments captured for our wedding. She knew our venue well and leveraged that knowledge to ensure we had not only the best spots for photos, but also the best lighting and time of day to shoot. And she did all of this without being intrusive or taking us “out of the moment” of our wedding day. It honestly felt more like Molly was one of our guests rather than a vendor.
