Bethany at Modern Kicks was a joy to work with throughout our entire wedding process. She is incredibly knowledgeable of all the different vendors (rentals, flowers, food / beverage, you name it) and really listened to us every step of the way. She was even able to get us a custom made bar. I would highly recommend Bethany and the Modern Kicks team to anyone planning their upcoming wedding.

BEST WEDDING EVER (and not just according to us - we've gotten about a million messages along these lines) - and it's ALL thanks to Bethany. She was the most incredible planner and immediately not only understood and accepted my highly specific and very extra vision but also took it to the next level with her own creativity and style. The wedding COULD NOT have looked better - it was truly stunning in every way - but on top of that, it was an absolute blast, thanks to her pulling off the perfect flow and recommending incredible vendors, from our DJ to the HMU. Outside of the vendors she recommended, she worked extremely well with the ones that we brought in ourselves and every single person only had amazing things to say about her.

Every single detail, from the ceremony to the cocktail hour to the reception to the afterparty, was perfect and I truly would not have changed a thing. Bethany is TRULY the best.

Modern Kicks not only delivered the perfect wedding, but made the process truly stress-free. Bethany was a total joy to work with. Our wedding required many moving parts- 250 guests in what was previously a field- and she made the whole thing look and feel like a breeze. She has stunning taste and vision that is aided by her vast amount of experience. Her recommendations were always excellent- we went with every vendor she suggested and some of our favorite touches were entirely her ideas. Even more impressive is her willingness and ability to lean into your ideas and execute them with more grace and style than you envisioned in the first place. We cannot recommend Bethany enough, we would choose her a thousand times over and wish there were more stars we could give.

Bethany is phenomenal! She is incredibly talented, creative, competent, easy to work with, and kind, and helped us plan (and re-plan due to a Covid postponement) a wedding that far exceeded our hopes for the day. She came up with amazing ideas that made our wedding feel very us, and managed all the logistics of the day so that we could relax and have a blast. We were blown away by how awesome the tent looked and by how smoothly everything went, all thanks to Bethany! She really went above and beyond and thought of everything (including so many things we never would have thought of ourselves). After giving us the best day ever, she even collected everything from the venue and unloaded it in our hotel room so that we wouldn't have to worry about it the next morning. She is truly the best, we recommend her so highly!

Bethany was the best as she helped us plan not only one but two weddings as we rescheduled with COVID. It was difficult to initially make the decision to move the wedding, and she helped to make the process completely seamless for us by reaching out to all of the vendors and helping us find a new date. Our wedding was everything I could have dreamed about! Bethany runs a tight ship and is so organized, which was so important to me the day of-- I was able to stay calm and enjoy the day, while she was running around fixing minor issues that I didn't even know happened! Everything was executed perfectly, and we could have not done it without her! She was always available and helped answer all of my questions throughout the process, which was over 2 years of planning and countless texts, emails and calls.

We feel so lucky to have found Bethany... her responsiveness, recommendations, advice and creative touch made our wedding week so much easier, and more special. Highly, highly recommend... and wish had another wedding to plan!!

When you’re still texting with your wedding planning almost weekly months after your wedding, you know you made the right choice. I can honestly say that without Bethany at Modern Kicks, there’s no way our wedding would have been even close to amazing as it was. From our first phone call, I knew that hiring Bethany was an absolute must. Having someone who is so connected to all of the vendors in the Hudson Valley was an amazing asset (she’s best friends with our florist and was able to set up our after-party spot literally 24 hours before our wedding because our initial plan fell through...). She responded calmly every time I texted her with an “Am I crazy…?” and made sure everything was taken care of. She kept me on track with her amazing organizational skills (gotta love a girl who loves Excel!) and was the best sounding board we could have asked for. She was a true partner and we never had to worry about a single thing because we knew it was all going to be taken care of. Getting married is amazing but it also the MOST stressful no matter what, but having someone there to make it even 1% less stressful is 100% worth it and Bethany goes above and beyond that.

We would not change a thing about our wedding. All of our vendors were amazing, but without Bethany none of it would have happened as beautifully and seamlessly as it did. From our initial planing meeting, where she truly got who are as a couple, to her recommendations for great local vendors to the weeks leading up to the wedding with concerns about the weather, she set the tone for the best party we could have asked for. It ran so efficiently and we did not have to worry about a thing. We're very grateful for her attitude and talent!

“Without Bethany, all this amazingness would not exist.” This was our standard line during the cocktail hour of our wedding. Our guests kept coming up to us in droves remarking how much they loved the details of the day so far and things were just getting started. To this day, we want to rewind and do it all over again. “It” would not have been possible without Bethany and her team. We wanted to create a unique celebration that would be remembered forever by our guests as one of the best weddings they’ve been to. Bethany helped us deliver the dream and vision into reality. From each phone call, site visit, vision board and design update - working with Bethany was stress-free, fun and exciting. Guests even told my wife, Liz, that she was the ‘most chill bride ever’ on our wedding day and, again, Bethany deserves a lot of the credit here. Her mastery of the day-of details were impeccable. The weather threw us a curveball and Bethany figured out how to reorganize the cocktail hour in a moment’s notice. There were countless details that would’ve gone overlooked and moments not capitalized on if we hadn’t had her help on our wedding day.
However, by far the best part of working with Bethany and her team was on the design of our wedding. With a few Pinterest boards, color selections and risks we wanted to take - Bethany’s vision created something we wouldn’t have thought of in a million years, turning a unique space (Basilica Hudson) into our fairytale for a night. We can’t recommend Bethany enough to all of our friends and family. From a balloon and disco ball installation above a black & white check dance floor to hidden ice cream cones in our photo booth backdrop, we’ll be dreaming about the best night of our lives for eternity.

I couldn’t have been happier! I got married in September in the Hudson Valley and chose Bethany/Modern Kicks for our wedding coordinator. I wasn’t sure if we needed someone but decided that it would be worth it to not have to worry about details and logistics at the wedding. It was probably the best choice I made throughout the entire wedding planning process! Bethany has a few different planning options (full time, partial planning and then month of) depending on what you need. She I went with month of but she helped to advise as I hired each vendor - giving me thoughtful opinions throughout. When she came on I was able to hand off so much of the logistical work and knowing nothing would slip through the cracks was such a relief.

Beyond her organizational help, Bethany’s creative talent is incredible. She really works with the your vision for the day and helps bring that to life. I was so impressed by her past work that I knew I also didn’t need to plan EVERYTHING, that she would hop in and fill in the missing pieces beautifully. Lastly, she is also really fun and brings a wonderfully calm presence to the crazy that can arise the week and day of a wedding. You really can’t go wrong choosing Bethany/Modern Kicks!
