I’m a wedding photographer and have worked with Zimmie and witness how he packs a dance floor, so when it came time to plan my own wedding it was no question who I wanted to have as our DJ. We had a non traditional wedding ceremony precessional with several toddlers (chaos) and unusual music choices and he made it happen for us without a hitch. And when it came time for dancing, Zimmie got everyone on the floor immediately, pretty much as soon as formal dances were over everyone flooded in to dance and didn’t stop til the last song. It was exactly what we wanted. I’ve always known the importance of having a professional DJ your wedding but Zimmie really goes above and beyond. If you want someone who is great at communicating, listens to what you want, and isn’t one of those traditional cheesy wedding DJs, then contact him first. You won’t regret it.

DJ Zimmie was an amazing DJ and MC for our wedding. Not only did he play a variety of music that everyone enjoyed, but he worked with other vendors to ensure the day went smooth. He also checked in on us (the bride and groom) to see if we needed anything or if there was anything we could help with. His timing during the ceremony was spot on, all equipment worked and functioned without issue and his assistant was also awesome as well. Thank you!!

DJ Zimmie is the best ever! Throughout the planning process he was great at offering timing suggestions, but wasn't overbearing in any way. We appreciated his honest feedback about how long dinner, speeches, first dances etc take since this was our first rodeo and he has done it way more! Zimmie was quickly responsive to any and all questions via email leading up to the wedding day and was totally on top of coordinating with the venue and our event coordinator.

On the day of I was so touched on the wedding day when he came over during a break in conversation before dinner was served just to ask me and my wife how we were doing and if there was anything he could do for us. He listened to all our music suggestions but truly had fun with the crowd and played music I wouldn't have thought to suggest but absolutely LOVED. After giving him a list of our favorite songs he completely understood our vibe and kept the crowd dancing all night! We also appreciated that he only made necessary announcements and really made it about the event and the music without throwing in any extra commentary on the microphone.

As a LGBTQ couple we were so appreciative of how inclusive all of Zimmie's communication with us was. All forms and verbal communication had language that never included the bride/groom etc. The day flowed seamlessly and there was never a moment we thought there could be awkwardness when announcing the double father daughter dance or any other things that made our wedding uniquely ours.

We would highly recommend booking DJ Zimmie for an affordability and top notch services. He is not only great to work with, but is also just a really cool guy who we were so happy to share our special day with.

DJ Zimmie was incredible! Our guest loved him so much and we were impressed with how he was able to quickly understand our vibe after a few phone conversations, make helpful suggestions to the timeline and music (such as cutting the songs to make the timing make sense in our intro song and recessional) and keep the party going in a way that felt natural throughout the evening. We had a New Year's wedding and he helped give ideas on having a champagne toast at midnight and projected the ball drop. We heard about him after attending a friend's wedding and knew we had to try and have him for ours! After our wedding a friend also got his info for their wedding next year. Highly recommend!
